His tone didn’t quite sound like an order, but Sumr Sutton couldn’t quite grasp the exact mood behind those words.
It was hard to take leave from the crew, mainly because all of Ariella Sawyer’s matters were now handled by Sumr Sutton. If she left, Ariella would have no one to help her.
Sumr Sutton felt a bit troubled.
While working the next day, she was still absent-mindedly thinking about this issue.
While Ariella was filming, Sumr Sutton remained quietly lost in thought.
Having been used to living alone, in her world, there wasn’t really such a thing as holidays.
But now, she had Adrian Walyon as her family.
Sumr Sutton suddenly recalled what Adrian Walyon said that day: Do you understand what marriage is?
She thought repeatedly about this matter all morning, and she had made up her mind by lunch.
She walked toward Ariella, just about to ask for leave, when Ariella opened up first, "Sumr, it’s almost New Year. Shouldn’t you be going back? Don’t you still have a husband at ho? It’s not good to spend New Year’s, a ti for unity, all by yourself outside."
Sumr Sutton looked at her in astonishnt, not expecting her to be so considerate.
"You should go back these few days and spend good quality ti with your family. If I get too busy, I’ll call my mom to help, and we can celebrate together," Ariella added.
She truly was thoughtful and warm.
Sumr Sutton was so touched she hugged her, "Little Ariella, you’re wonderful!"
"Enough, hurry up and buy your ticket, be careful that the tickets for the day aren’t sold out," Ariella reminded her.
"Got it, got it, I’m on it!" Sumr Sutton happily returned to the hotel, quickly packed her suitcase, and when she went to book a ticket online, she was surprised to find that there really were no tickets for that day.
Staring at her phone showing no tickets, Sumr Sutton was montarily stunned.
What should she do?
If she didn’t return, leaving Adrian Walyon to spend New Year’s alone, with the sounds of fireworks and festivities everywhere outside, yet only him at ho, Adrian Walyon would certainly feel disheartened.
Diana Wood also loved to criticize her, and if she missed such an important holiday at ho, she might harp on this for months.
But with no tickets, what could she do?
Sumr Sutton had no choice; she couldn’t book a flight ticket, so she had to settle for a train ticket instead.
From her current city to Northtown, a plane takes almost four hours, while the train takes about eleven hours.
The journey was long, and there were no seats left when she bought the train ticket; all she could get was a standing ticket.
Sumr Sutton had initially thought maybe she could switch to a seating ticket midway if soone got off.
Unexpectedly, with the holiday travel rush, all the seats were booked.
The long journey back to Northtown, for over ten hours, Sumr Sutton stood the entire way.
...
Sutton Gardens.
Adrian Walyon stood by the floor-to-ceiling window of the villa, quietly staring at his phone.
He was waiting for her call, waiting to hear her say she’s back!
But now, it was almost midnight, and the phone hadn’t rung even once.
The outside was lively tonight, the fireworks in the night sky almost never ceased.
The sound of crackling filled the atmosphere with a festive air.
In Adrian Walyon’s concept, there wasn’t really such a thing as holidays either, but living as a couple was sowhat different than living alone.
When there are two, the house really feels like ho, and many days usually deed unimportant would inadvertently beco worth caring about.
Adrian Walyon stood by the window for a long ti; the New Year’s Eve was almost over, and he originally thought Sumr Sutton wouldn’t return, but just then, suddenly, the phone rang...
