He was forcefully occupying her attention, Sumr Sutton’s mind wasn’t on what he was doing, so he forced her to snap back, forcing her to feel his kiss.
He bit quite hard, and if this were any other day, Sumr would have surely jumped up angrily and fought back against him.
But today, she had no reaction.
She didn’t know what she was thinking, she didn’t even look at him, turned her head, and dashed out of the room, "I don’t want to sleep yet, you go ahead."
"Where are you going?" Adrian Walyon was baffled by her actions.
"I’m going to get so fresh air!" Sumr randomly made up an excuse and went downstairs.
On the way down, she kept staring at the carpet along the path.
After she got downstairs, she searched all over the dining room, kitchen, and living room but still couldn’t find a trace of the ring, so she ran to the garden.
It was late at night by this ti, and even though there were street lamps in the garden, the lighting was still too dim.
Sumr searched path by path, throughout the whole Walyon Family residence, she retraced all the paths she walked today.
She clearly rembered that she was wearing the ring when she ca to the Walyon Family’s place.
If it was lost, it must have been lost at the Walyon Family’s place.
But after almost overturning the grass in the garden, she still didn’t see even the shadow of the ring.
Sumr stood rigidly in the garden, her mind blank.
Adrian ca down from upstairs, walked to her side, and looking at her standing lightly dressed in the cool night breeze, he furrowed his brow, "What are you zoning out for at this hour?"
Sumr turned her head, her gaze stiff as she looked at him, moved her lips, wanting to speak.
But considering the consequences of saying it out loud, Sumr decided to wait until tomorrow day to look again before speaking.
If she found it, naturally it would be best.
If not, with no other way, she could only confess honestly to Adrian.
This is the Walyon Family’s place, Sumr couldn’t believe a servant had stolen it, it was only possible she accidentally dropped it sowhere.
The servants at the Walyon Family’s have all been with the family for at least five years, their character is guaranteed, and nothing like this had ever happened in the family before.
Not just her, even Diana Wood usually leaves valuable jewelry casually in the living room and hasn’t seen any servant take it.
"It’s nothing, let’s go back to the room!" Passing by Adrian, Sumr went inside first.
Adrian followed her in, walking behind her, squinting as he watched her.
He felt that Sumr was acting strange tonight.
But Adrian couldn’t figure out where the problem was.
When they went upstairs, Sumr had no mood for anything tonight.
Adrian, however, could only think about continuing what they had not finished earlier.
Once in the room, he locked the door, picked up Sumr, and took her to bed, starting to undress her.
Sumr was absent-minded, her clothes were taken off, and she seed completely unaware.
Adrian found this version of her particularly disappointing.
He wrapped her clothes back on, lay on his side next to her, and pulled her into his arms.
"Tell what happened tonight." Calmly, he prepared to listen closely.
Sumr looked at him, sowhat dejected.
"Did you do sothing to betray ?" Adrian asked, noticing sothing off in her eyes.
After his words, Sumr was silent for a long ti, not speaking.
Adrian’s heart sank with a thud.
The atmosphere between the two suddenly changed.
Sumr felt uncomfortable under his gaze, worried he might overthink, she hesitated for a long ti before she couldn’t hold it in, and confessed, "Adrian, I lost the wedding ring!"
