"Let’s set off in the morning!" Sumr Sutton didn’t eat much breakfast, put down her chopsticks, and hurried upstairs to pack.
There were no family left for her in River City. This ti she didn’t plan to stay long, bringing only a few books to read on the plane instead of a change of clothes.
Adrian Walyon went with her. After breakfast, they bought tickets and set off.
They arrived in River City in the afternoon.
Sumr Sutton didn’t even rest, bought so flowers, and headed straight to the cetery.
This was the first ti she brought Adrian Walyon to this place.
It was also Adrian Walyon’s first ti eting his father-in-law as a son-in-law.
It had been a long ti since Sumr Sutton last returned to River City, the last ti being before she married Adrian Walyon.
But during that visit, she didn’t co to see Father Sutton.
Sumr Sutton no longer had any relatives in this world. In principle, Father Sutton’s grave should be overgrown from long unattended care.
However, when they arrived, they were surprised to find the grave neatly maintained, as if soone had specially cleaned it.
In front of the tombstone lay a fresh bouquet, seemingly placed not long ago.
Sumr Sutton quietly stared at the flowers in front of Father Sutton’s tombstone, lost in thought.
Who sent the flowers?
The only close relatives of her father alive were Gina Sutton’s family.
But considering how all three of Gina Sutton’s family despised her, wishing her away, would they co to see Dad?
That was obviously impossible.
If it wasn’t them, then who could it be?
Perhaps one of Dad’s old friends?
But so many years had passed since Dad left, and any close friends from the past should have long forgotten him.
Who else could it be?
Sumr Sutton truly couldn’t figure it out.
Adrian Walyon was also staring at the bouquet, lost in thought.
Quietly, he guessed the possibility but said nothing.
Sumr Sutton was only stunned for a mont and didn’t think much of it.
After placing her own flowers down, she started chatting with Father Sutton.
"Dad, I’m married! It’s only now that I’m telling you, and I know that’s not right."
"The marriage was arranged years ago by Grandpa Walyon, uniting with the Walyon Family. Standing by my side is your son-in-law, Adrian Walyon, who ca here with ."
"Dad, I’m living well now. No one bullies , and there’s nothing troubling in my life. The Walyons treat well, so you can be at peace."
"Dad, I’ll be graduating in two years. Ever since entering the Film Academy, my performance has always been great. I should be able to beco the second you, the best producer."
"Dad, you have always known what I’m striving for. After I graduate, this goal will soon be realized, so rest assured!"
Standing there in front of the tombstone, Sumr Sutton spoke with Father Sutton for a long ti.
It was as if he were still alive, chatting about life, studies, dreams, and aspirations.
Adrian Walyon quietly listened beside her, not interrupting.
Sumr Sutton stayed at the tombstone for more than three hours.
She seed reluctant to leave, until it turned dark.
Noticing the ti, Sumr Sutton was about to leave, but Adrian Walyon held her hand.
Surprised, Sumr Sutton looked at him, not understanding his intention.
Under her bewildered gaze, Adrian Walyon did sothing unexpected.
Pulling her to his side, facing the tombstone, his expression serious, "Dad, Sumr has joined the Walyon Family. She is my wife, and from now on, she is no longer alone."
