Sumr Sutton follows by Ryan Walyon’s side, purely because he’s the only man she knows here.
By staying close to him, at least she won’t be harassed by other n.
She hesitated for a mont, then caught up with Ryan Walyon, and they arrived together on the grass.
"Don’t be afraid, sit on it, I’ll hold you steady, take it slow!" With his hand supporting her elbow, Ryan Walyon gently exerted so force to help her sit up.
His movents were ticulous, carrying an indescribable gentleness.
Afraid Sumr Sutton might fall, he wrapped his arm around her waist from behind, keeping her steady.
After Sumr sat up, she hadn’t yet ridden out when a sudden cold wind blew from behind, making her back feel chilly.
It seed like soone was watching her at the scene.
The gaze was cold and sharp, even though Sumr Sutton hadn’t turned around, she could feel the eyes on her.
Too familiar a look made her heart skip a beat.
Before she could regain her senses, a bone-chilling voice suddenly sounded behind her, "Miss Sutton, your keys are still with !"
The familiar voice carried nothing but coldness, with a prolonged tone as if deliberately emphasizing for those around to hear.
Sumr Sutton’s head lightly exploded with shock, almost causing her to fall off the horse.
Ryan Walyon’s hand supporting her arm visibly stiffened for a mont, as if he too was surprised by the newcor’s words.
From the club’s corridor, Adrian Walyon walked over without diverting his gaze, his eyes fixed on Ryan Walyon’s hand at Sumr Sutton’s waist, as cold as a sharp knife.
Sumr Sutton didn’t expect to bump into him in such a place, stiffly turning her face, staring blankly at him, her mind went blank.
Today’s sunshine was still sowhat warm, with a breeze carrying the scent of grass gently blowing, ssing up a few strands of Sumr Sutton’s hair, partially blocking her vision.
Too lazy to care, she stared blankly at the man still walking towards her, her face very pale.
In Adrian Walyon’s eyes, it looked as though she had seen a ghost.
The coldness in Adrian Walyon’s gaze inadvertently deepened a bit more.
He ca straight to them, abruptly pulling Sumr Sutton off the horse, intending to drag her away from the lawn.
Just as he took a step, Ryan Walyon grabbed Sumr Sutton’s wrist.
His action was purely reflexive, without any thought.
Adrian Walyon’s footsteps slowly ca to a halt.
He turned his head, his gaze landing on Ryan Walyon’s hand, and his face visibly darkened.
With one person pulling each of Sumr Sutton’s arms, she felt extrely awkward looking at one, then the other.
"You two, living together lately?" Ryan Walyon’s gaze fell on the keys in Adrian Walyon’s hand.
"No..." Sumr Sutton had just started to explain, but before she could finish, Adrian Walyon interrupted, "Yes!"
He answered so decisively, without a hint of hesitation.
Sumr Sutton really wanted to continue explaining, but her lips moved slightly, and in the end, she held back.
She had said previously that she had nothing to do with Adrian Walyon, but if the misunderstanding Adrian Walyon intentionally created could make Ryan Walyon give up so unreachable thoughts, Sumr felt there was no need to clarify.
Ryan Walyon’s face maintained a slightly tilted posture, taking a good while before recovering from Adrian Walyon’s words.
Adrian Walyon didn’t bother with him much, but dominantly pulled Sumr Sutton’s hand back, his large hand clutching hers, half dragging and half pulling her towards the resting area outside the grass.
