Adrian Walyon glanced sideways at her and asked slowly, "Miss Sutton, in what capacity are you speaking to now?"
The question left Sumr Sutton speechless.
"Girlfriend?" Adrian Walyon raised his eyebrow as he asked.
Sumr Sutton remained silent.
"Wife?" Adrian Walyon asked again.
These were the identities he once wanted her to have.
Sumr Sutton was silent once more.
Adrian Walyon stared at her for a long ti, gently pinching her chin with his fingertips, "Think about your answer and co find ."
He put down his utensils and left the dining room ahead of her.
Sumr Sutton stood rigidly in front of the dining table, sowhat unable to process his words.
When she returned to the room, Adrian Walyon had already taken out his phone and started getting busy with work-related matters.
After Sumr Sutton ca back, she was very quiet, not disturbing him, and after just a greeting, she went to the film crew.
Just upon arrival, the director hurried over, concerned, "How was it? How was it? Did he agree?"
"No." Sumr Sutton shook her head.
The director looked at her in disbelief, doubting his own ears.
"He also didn’t say he wouldn’t agree." Sumr Sutton tossed him a line, then went about her own business.
The director’s hope was instantly rekindled, following her and eagerly handing her an umbrella, "Then keep working at it."
The crew was still filming at this ti, despite the harsh conditions today.
Everyone was abroad now, and staying an extra day would cost a lot more. As a cash-strapped, poor film crew, they couldn’t afford such expenses.
The roof of the studio was covered with lots of plastic sheeting to prevent leaks, and a large group of staff squeezed into the cramped studio to continue filming.
Mid-autumn in the small town, it was already getting a bit cold.
Sumr Sutton hadn’t eaten lunch, just stayed with the film crew like that.
In the afternoon, Adrian Walyon also arrived.
The on-site conditions were terrible, but even after his arrival, he showed no intention of leaving.
Sumr Sutton stayed as long as she did with the crew, and he stayed just as long.
He stood with Sumr Sutton, even following when they went on location shoots.
Adrian Walyon was actually deliberately giving her a chance, wanting to hear her say the answer to the question he asked today.
Yet, after spending the entire afternoon and evening with the crew, all Sumr Sutton did was busy herself with work, never speaking of anything else.
Her deanor made Adrian Walyon’s face turn icy cold.
Even a few ters away, while assisting Ariella Sawyer with costu fittings, Sumr Sutton could feel the low pressure emanating from him.
Glancing his way sideways, Sumr Sutton’s gaze lingered for a mont.
"Don’t take the director’s words seriously. If Young Master Walyon doesn’t invest, it’s no big deal; the film might just be shelved!" Ariella Sawyer noticed her discomfort and casually comforted her.
"Mm." Sumr Sutton responded softly.
When work was finished, it was already ten o’clock.
Looking at Adrian Walyon’s darkened expression, she thought the idea of getting him to invest was hopeless. Yet, when leaving the set, he casually threw her a line, "Regarding the investnt, I’ll arrange it tomorrow!"
After tossing her a line, he walked towards the side of the road without looking back.
Sumr Sutton stood stiffly in place, watching his figure walk away, feeling like there’s a warm surge in her chest ready to burst out.
He was still the sa as before, never refusing anything she asked for.
Even though their relationship was no longer what it used to be, even though she had infuriated him so much these past few days...
Adrian Walyon had no intention of having her accompany him back to the hotel; he left without looking back.
