His gaze had a hint of brightness.
Sumr Sutton could vaguely sense the anticipation in his eyes.
Thinking slightly, Sumr instantly guessed what he wanted to hear her say.
However, she had sothing more important.
Sumr Sutton didn’t dare look into his eyes too much, nor did she dare directly bring up the investnt; she steered the conversation.
"What I want to say is, I’ll treat you to lunch today!" She hurriedly stood up, walked ahead, and left the room before him.
Adrian Walyon stiffly followed behind her, his face not looking too pleased.
Sumr didn’t dare to look back at him at all, lowering her head as she quickly entered the elevator.
Adrian followed her in with a tense expression.
He seed a bit upset, adjusting his tie multiple tis while in the elevator.
Sumr stood a little away from him, fearing he might suddenly get angry.
Once at the restaurant, she chose a spot and sat down, eagerly helping him with the knife and fork, cutting at, pouring wine, shelling seafood, as attentive as she could be.
Adrian’s hand holding the knife and fork paused. He lifted his face to look at her with a sowhat strange expression.
Sumr didn’t pay him any mind and pushed the freshly peeled crab at into his bowl, indicating for him to eat.
Adrian stared at her hand for a mont, took a deep breath, and still put the at she offered into his mouth.
Sumr diligently poured him another glass of wine.
During the lunch, she poured him quite a bit of wine.
Sumr just felt that he might be more agreeable after a bit of alcohol.
Adrian didn’t say much, but after the sixth glass, he unexpectedly lifted his face and slowly said, "Miss Sutton, are you trying to get drunk with so ulterior motive?"
Sumr had no intention of getting him drunk.
How could she discuss important matters if he were drunk?

Made it sound like she had so inappropriate intentions after he’d been drinking.
Sumr felt a bit awkward, quickly stopped her hand that was pouring wine, and tried to redirect the topic, "You see, you also stayed with the production crew for quite a while yesterday, and our actors’ performances were quite good, weren’t they? And the director did a pretty good job, right?"
"And then?" Adrian responded casually as he continued dining lazily.
"Didn’t you already invest so in this film before? I think you won’t suffer a loss."
"So?" Adrian continued eating without lifting his head.
"Since you’ve already invested, you surely don’t want your money to go down the drain, do you? But the production crew still lacks funds now, maybe you could invest a bit more?" Sumr took the opportunity to say.
She spoke quickly, laying out her intentions in one go.
She wasn’t used to discussing money with Adrian; they’d been married for over a year, and Sumr had never asked him for a penny.
This was the first ti she talked about money, and it wasn’t for herself.
Adrian’s movents slowed and gradually stopped.
He lifted his face and stared at her steadily.
Sumr quietly watched him, observing his reaction.
Adrian remained silent for a while after her words, didn’t agree imdiately but signaled her to co over.
Sumr stood up, blankly walked over.
She thought he was going to say sothing to her; when she stood beside him, she stood obediently, waiting for his next words.
However, Adrian gestured to his shoulder.
Sumr understood imdiately, standing behind him, began to massage his shoulders with the right amount of pressure.
"How’s that?" She looked at him sidelong, eager to hear his answer.
