The crew was staying in a small family hotel, and Sumr Sutton’s room was on the top floor, essentially just a small attic, which was likely uninhabited typically and lacked adequate waterproofing.
When Adrian Walyon accompanied her back to the room, the water in Sumr Sutton’s room was deep enough to resemble a river.
Adrian Walyon’s expression was as foul as it could get, with a severe pain pounding in his temples.
"You’ve been living in a place like this for so many days?" he asked coldly.
Actually, it wasn’t like that before, but Adrian didn’t co to the previous hotel and wasn’t aware.
Sumr Sutton originally wanted to explain, but considering the investnt issue, she kept silent.
She nodded seriously, "Yes."
Adrian Walyon, "..."
Adrian fell silent for quite a while after her words and took a deep breath, "Why not switch to a better place yourself? Didn’t bring a card abroad? Short of money?"
"Wasn’t it not raining before? I got by." Sumr Sutton said as if it were truly the case.
She realized that in the few days she had been with the crew, she had sowhat been influenced by the director and was now learning to act in tragic dramas.
"Move out imdiately!" Adrian stopped asking further, found her suitcase, and was ready to take her away.
Sumr Sutton still had concerns about the investnt.
If she went to a five-star hotel with him, how could she win his sympathy for him to invest?
"I think staying here is quite good, it’s close to the crew, convenient, and I can make do." Sumr Sutton dragged his hand to stop him.
Adrian turned his head, looking at her with an inquisitive gaze.
"Alright then!" She took back the suitcase, cleaned up the water in the room, and headed to the bathroom to change clothes.
The rain outside was still pouring, making her mopping seem futile.
Adrian didn’t care about all that; once she ca out, he simply picked her up and headed out of the hotel.
Sumr Sutton was wearing a skirt, a short one.
Adrian’s action caught her off guard.
She felt a little embarrassed, wanting to guard the skirt with her hands but thinking the action was too odd.
Feeling anxious and not knowing what to do, Adrian seed to notice her discomfort, and his coat suddenly covered her legs, wrapping her lower half securely.
"I can walk on my own!" Sumr Sutton quickly got down from him, pulled his coat, covered herself properly, and didn’t insist on continuing to stay at the original hotel.
Adrian took her to a nearby better hotel.
After getting inside and taking a shower, Sumr Sutton sat on the sofa and didn’t leave like she did last night.
She seed to be thinking about sothing, and as Adrian ca out, her gaze lingered on him several tis.
She occasionally looked at him, hesitating to speak.
"Anything on your mind?" Adrian turned his gaze to her and asked.
Sumr Sutton deliberated on how to approach the topic with him.
Adrian tossed the towel he was using to dry his hair aside and silently watched her.
He couldn’t imagine what might be making Sumr Sutton find it difficult to speak to him.
Adrian was thinking, if she were to tell him how much she missed him these days, he would agree to any request she made.
No matter what the request!
Even if it ant giving her everything he had.
His expectations of her had always been that simple.
A matter of a few words, without the need for her to do anything.
Sumr Sutton stayed silent for a mont after his words, before slowly lifting her face.
Adrian Walyon looked at her steadily, quietly awaiting her next words.
