Standing on the veranda of the villa, Sumr Sutton thought intently for a long, long ti, and suddenly rembered sothing Adrian Walyon had said before.
It’s winter now, and winter in Northtown cos with snow, and quite a lot of snow scenery too.
Adrian Walyon once said he hoped that when it snowed in Morning Garden in the future, she would be by his side.
Sumr Sutton recalled his words, and suddenly rushed upstairs with determination.
She swung open the bedroom door, grabbed a warm coat and threw it over herself carelessly, then hurriedly went downstairs again.
She swung the garden door shut, got into the car, and left Morning Garden.
...
Adrian Walyon returned rather late tonight. After finishing matters at Morningview Group and a video eting that ran over an hour, he finally ca back to Morning Garden.
Upon returning, Sumr Sutton was not there.
A prepared dinner was laid out on the table, already cold, seemingly prepared for quite so ti.
It hadn’t been touched; clearly, Sumr Sutton hadn’t eaten.
Adrian Walyon stared at it for a mont, his brow furrowing in suspicion.
Taking out his phone, he called Sumr Sutton.
"Where are you?"
"Outside." Sumr Sutton seed busy, only replied with one sentence. Adrian Walyon didn’t even have ti to ask more before she hung up.
Adrian Walyon stood rigidly in the dining room, his face slightly darkened.
What the hell?
Assuming Sumr Sutton was busy with work, Adrian Walyon didn’t think much of it. He went upstairs to change clothes, then dealt with so business matters while waiting for her in the living room.
He thought, at ten o’clock, Sumr Sutton should return soon.
But, waiting from ten until midnight on the sofa, her footsteps never ca in the villa.
This made Adrian Walyon’s previously softened face tense up again.
Unable to resist, he called Sumr Sutton once more.
"Where are you?"
"Got so stuff on hand, still busy, don’t wait up for , you go to bed first!" Sumr Sutton left him with those words, and hung up again.
She was genuinely busy, each ti just a sentence before hanging up.
There were actually a lot of questions Adrian Walyon wanted to ask, but she never gave him the ti.
Adrian Walyon’s face turned dark, he suddenly felt like hitting sothing.
After taking several deep breaths, he yanked off his coat, threw it aside, and went upstairs to take a shower.
He thought, surely by the ti he finished, Sumr Sutton would be back?
But after an hour upstairs, it was already past one when he ca down, and Sumr Sutton was still not back.
This made Adrian Walyon suddenly angry.
He called Sumr Sutton, gritting his teeth, trying his best to restrain himself.
Without waiting for her to speak, he said first, "Miss Sutton, as a married woman, do you know what ti it is? Isn’t it ti to co back?"
Every word was squeezed out through gritted teeth, trying hard to restrain his temper.
"I’ve told you, I’m not done yet." But no sooner had she said it than Sumr Sutton hung up again.
Listening to the beeping cut-off tone on the phone, Adrian Walyon was enraged.
He stord upstairs, changed into outdoor clothes, and despite it being the middle of the night, grabbed his car keys and left.
After getting in the car, he called Sumr Sutton again, "Send the address, I’m coming over!"
His words were very concise, his tone habitually commanding.
This ti, Sumr Sutton cooperated, and after hanging up the phone, she really sent him her location.
The place she was at was miles away, on one side of the city, with him on the other, spanning the entire distance of Northtown.
