A small gift box quietly sits on the table, decorated with a lavender ribbon tied into a bow.
Adrian Walyon stared at the box for quite so ti, tempted several tis to walk over, open it, and see what was inside.
However, after so thought, he restrained his impulse.
He made so many phone calls today, yet Sumr Sutton didn’t tell him what she was doing; she must be planning to give it to him at what she thinks is the right ti, right?
She has her own thoughts, and Adrian decided to go along with her, pretending he knows nothing.
Without touching the gift box, after a simple wash, he went to bed with Sumr Sutton.
Adrian Walyon’s birthday is November 25th, Sagittarius, today.
He doesn’t care about birthdays at all, hasn’t given it a thought, and after sleeping with Sumr Sutton for a few hours, without waking her, he went directly to the company at noon.
Adrian Walyon has always been soone who doesn’t care about anything except Sumr Sutton, not even himself.
During the afternoon at the company, he didn’t even book a restaurant for the evening, planning to finish his work then go back to spend the day with Sumr Sutton as usual.
...
Sumr Sutton didn’t sleep all night, and by the ti she woke up, it was already afternoon.
At this hour, going to the company would be just in ti to leave, so she simply took a day off and didn’t go.
Since Adrian Walyon isn’t concerned about birthdays at all, Sumr Sutton figured he definitely wouldn’t order a cake today.
Sumr Sutton rummaged through the kitchen for a while and decided to make one herself for him.
She decided on a Sakura Mousse, the sa type Adrian Walyon ordered when he confessed, nad "In the Na of Love."
Sakura Mousse is a very complex cake, taking much longer to make than ordinary cakes.
Sumr Sutton has always been patient, and with all the ingredients at ho, she just went ahead and made it.
Soaking the cherry blossoms, making the cake mixture, refrigerating, making the mirror finish, the entire process took a full seven hours, from noon to night, from broad daylight to darkness.
The cake was finished, and only then did she belatedly realize a problem—would Adrian Walyon co back tonight?
On such a day, the Walyon Family should have also made special preparations for him, right?
Old Master Walyon, being soone who values special occasions, would have had the chef prepare a table full of dishes. If Adrian Walyon didn’t go back, wouldn’t the old man be so angry he’d blow his beard and glare?
...
Adrian Walyon was quite busy today, working overti after office hours.
At 6:30 in the evening, as soon as it was ti for the Walyon Family’s dinner, Diana Wood’s phone calls began bombarding endlessly.
She was calling anxiously, urging persistently; when Adrian didn’t answer, she kept calling until his phone shut off one after another.
Still not answered, Diana Wood, fuming, called for a driver and headed straight to his company with a stern face.
When she arrived, Adrian Walyon was still busy.
His face was slightly lowered, fingers tapping on the computer, seemingly doing accounts.
"How many tis have I called? Can’t say you’re busy? Do you have any idea what today is? Do you know how long your grandfather has been waiting for you? He even specially had a table of your favorite dishes prepared today. If you’re not going back, fine, but can’t you at least answer a call? Adrian Walyon, what on earth are you trying to do?" Diana Wood shouted furiously, already angry when she ca, and after delivering a tirade, Adrian hadn’t even glanced at her, making her even more infuriated.
