Sumr Sutton followed behind Manuel Ink, her mood like the turbulent sea, never calm since she got up this morning.
In just a few days, this cruise will reach ho, and she will be able to see Adrian Walyon.
She had been missing for so many days, she wondered what his situation was now.
Searching for her must have been really hard, right?
Was he unable to sleep every day because of worrying about her?
Would he think she was no longer in this world, giving up the search or still continuing?
With her hand over her chest, Sumr Sutton couldn’t suppress her current emotions.
Manuel Ink walked ahead, occasionally glancing at her from the corner of his eye.
Seeing her tense yet slightly expectant face, he lowered his gaze in thought, as if guessing sothing.
The group continued walking toward the dock; once they boarded the cruise, they’d leave M Country’s territory.
Just as they were about to step onto the deck, an accident happened.
"Stop!" Sumr Sutton heard a foreign voice behind her, speaking in French.
Sumr Sutton didn’t really understand what he was saying, but she could understand the commanding tone.
Rigidly, her gaze followed the source of the voice, catching sight of the people chasing after them not far away, she inwardly lanted.
The arriving person was the French man from a month ago, who had a confrontation with Sumr Sutton and Manuel Ink. So many days had passed since the last incident, Sumr Sutton didn’t expect that he still hadn’t given up searching for her and Manuel Ink.
The French man brought a considerable number of people, at least fifty or sixty.
While on Manuel Ink’s side, there were fewer than twenty.
Manuel Ink stared at the newcors for a while, then turned his head and calmly ordered to Sumr Sutton behind him, "Get on the boat first!"
"What about you? What will you do?" Sumr Sutton thought about his injury not being fully healed and was not reassured.
"Get on!" The man shouted angrily at her.
Sumr Sutton was worried about him, but also feared she’d cause him more trouble. After a struggle, she had no choice but to head to the boat first.
Unexpectedly, just as she took a step forward, the French man led his group in her direction, "Stop, nobody is leaving!"
A shot was fired in Sumr Sutton’s direction, the man cursed and seed to say sothing more.
Sumr Sutton dodged to the side, avoiding the flying bullet, then glanced back towards Manuel Ink.
Quietly staring at him for a while, she suddenly walked towards him.
If he doesn’t get on the boat, it can’t leave.
Since it won’t leave, the French man’s people can board it too.
The boat was no longer safe, so staying on it was useless for her.
Staying by Manuel Ink’s side, she would be safer.
"I won’t cause you trouble!"
Sumr Sutton shielded her head with her hand, hiding behind a bodyguard.
She just wanted to stay here with him, to know how he was doing.
Manuel Ink did not forcefully demand; he was intently watching the advancing French man.
Sumr Sutton thought, since he didn’t insist she return to the boat, it implied she was allowed to stay by his side.
Unexpectedly, he pushed her toward the group of bodyguards and shouted at her, "Run! I’ll follow!"
He was having the bodyguards protect her to leave first, while he stayed behind to deal with this group.
Sumr Sutton looked at him in shock, her face sowhat pale.
She had witnessed his prowess the other day on the cruise.
She knew he could handle a bunch of people alone.
But now, she and he were faced with so many people!
