Manuel Ink seed to be stunned for a mont, staring at her stubborn face for a long while, then pushed her back into the group of bodyguards.
"Get her out of here, now!" He yelled at the bodyguards, his gaze returning to the Frenchman.
The situation was urgent, and the bodyguards had no ti to think. They split into two groups; one group escorted Sumr Sutton toward the direction of the vehicles on the road, while the other group stayed by the shore to protect Manuel Ink.
Sumr Sutton was pushed along by several bodyguards the entire way.
She kept glancing sideways, watching Manuel Ink who remained standing in place, wanting to go back several tis but was stopped by the bodyguards.
"Miss Little Sutton, trust my master, he’s never wrong." One of the bodyguards comforted her, continuing to escort her toward the roadside.
The Frenchman clearly wasn’t planning to let either Manuel Ink or her escape, splitting his people into two groups, one of which pursued Sumr Sutton.
Sumr Sutton was forcibly shoved into a car by the bodyguards, and with a roar, the car left the seaside.
The Frenchman’s n seed to be in pursuit in their own vehicles, and Sumr Sutton could only hear the rumbling car engines behind her.
Sumr Sutton’s mind was a ss, still staring toward the shore.
Can Manuel Ink handle it?
With so many bodyguards gone, what will he do?
The bodyguard driving up front kept accelerating, maneuvering the car towards crowded places.
Reaching a spot full of intersections, they stopped the car and led Sumr Sutton into the crowd, trying to lose their pursuers in the chaos.
"You don’t need to mind , go protect your master! I’ll take care of myself!" Sumr Sutton pushed the group away, running ahead by herself.
In fact, the bodyguards were also worried about Manuel Ink. Seeing Sumr Sutton disappear into the crowd, they hesitated for a mont before getting back into the car and heading towards the seaside.
Amidst the noisy crowd, Sumr Sutton kept running forward, not daring to look back.
Behind her, the sound of pursuing footsteps never ceased.
Every now and then, she could hear them shouting in French behind her.
Sumr Sutton’s heart was pounding with fear, almost up to her throat.
After running the entire length of the street, she realized there was no way forward and yet couldn’t shake off her pursuers. Suddenly, she didn’t know what to do.
With a rigid gaze, she looked at the group behind her, and without thinking, dashed into a street on her left.
She was currently in a comrcial area, with many streets, lots of people, and nurous stalls along the street.
Sumr Sutton ran until her vision blurred, her limbs weak, feeling like her legs were going to give out.
Her pursuers were still behind her, their footsteps thumping relentlessly.
In her panic, Sumr Sutton seed to collide with soone.
All she felt was that her path was blocked, and she was startled.
Just as despair was about to set in, a familiar scent suddenly wafted past her nose.
Sumr Sutton was montarily dumbfounded, her mind lightly exploding.
Her stiff face lifted up, shocked as she looked at the man she’d collided with, stunned on the spot.
The man in front of her had strikingly distinct Oriental features, deep-set traits, standing out even in a world full of Europeans.
Sumr Sutton stared at him for a long while, then opened her arms and embraced him tightly...
