If Adrian hadn’t found her, or if he hadn’t called her, hadn’t contacted her in ti, she’d have remained unconscious in the car sunk in the ice lake, undiscovered, her fate would have been to sleep forever here.
Today’s weather could freeze a person to death directly!
Adrian was still continuously rubbing her body, from her face to her hands and feet.
Using the warmth of his palms to drive away the cold from her body, holding her in his arms, the two wrapped in a piece of clothing, sharing his body warmth with her, calling her na again and again at her ear, "Sumr, wake up! Wake up!"
"Sumr! Don’t sleep!"
"I won’t let you sleep, do you hear ?"
He kept calling her like this, his eyes were red, his voice was hoarse, his hands chanically continued to warm her, not knowing how long he had been calling, till his arms were numb and his throat couldn’t speak anymore, the woman in his arms finally showed a little movent.
Sumr Sutton’s head was still dizzy, lifting her heavy eyelids to stare at the man beside her for quite a while, as if unsure whether the picture she saw was real.
She blinked, wanting heavily to close them again, Adrian roughly shouted at her, "I said, don’t sleep!"
He shouted urgently, his voice hoarse as if his vocal cords were torn.
This side of him made Sumr Sutton inexplicably ache in her heart.
She lifted her face to look at him again and again, seeing the obvious anger on his face, reason slowly started to return to Sumr Sutton.
Her hand stiffly lifted, touching his face again, feeling his real warmth, a soreness rose in her heart, she got up and threw herself into his arms, "Adrian, you ca! Luckily you ca!"
She hugged him tightly, her head continuously rubbing against his shoulder, "Luckily, luckily..."
She just kept mumbling the sa words repeatedly, as if she hadn’t yet recovered from this accident.
If Adrian hadn’t co tonight, Sumr Sutton really couldn’t imagine the consequences.
Adrian studied her for a long while, his face tight, "Why aren’t you at the office working, why did you co here?"
His words reminded Sumr Sutton.
Sumr Sutton ca here today to be punished.
She lifted her face and glanced at him, then punched his shoulder, "It’s all because of you!"
Sumr Sutton got angry as soon as she ntioned this, how many tis has she been punished because of him since she t him?
She was punished because of him in school, and now during her internship, she’s still punished because of him.
After marrying him, she basically violated regulations and got punished every few days.
Adrian ignored her words, asking the question he cared about most, "Why did the car crash?"
His words reminded Sumr Sutton.
Sumr Sutton snapped out of it, calmly recalling all the situations before the accident happened, her gaze slowly sinking.
Adrian glared sideways at her, still waiting for her to speak.
Sumr Sutton wasn’t driving her own car!
Sumr Sutton turned her head to look at him, not wanting him to get involved, didn’t explain much, just said lightly, "The ground was icy today, the path from the set through the bush was hard to navigate, the shallow lake where the accident happened was obscured by dead grass, I noticed it when I got to the lake’s edge, but it was too late..."
Adrian initially considered whether this incident was deliberate, but however Sumr Sutton explained, he listened.
