The film crew was still waiting for blankets, and after Sumr Sutton woke up, she took Adrian Walyon’s car to the city. The injury on her forehead was only treated briefly. After buying the blankets, Adrian drove her back to the crew.
By the ti they arrived at the set, it was almost dark.
The director saw Sumr Sutton had just brought the blankets and wanted to reprimand her, but upon seeing Adrian Walyon slowly erge from the car, all the words were stuck in his throat and swallowed back down.
Adrian Walyon walked over at a leisurely pace, his gaze sweeping around the scene, roughly assessing the filming environnt.
It’s not unusual for the filming crew to shoot in various kinds of places.
However, he didn’t understand why Sumr Sutton, an intern producer, was sent to such a place as punishnt. What kind of operation was this?
Lorraine Hughes was still filming in the distance, seemingly not faring well in the cold, her face pale and frightening.
Her gaze drifted over towards him, and upon seeing him appear alongside Sumr Sutton, Lorraine Hughes seed sowhat surprised.
Sumr Sutton, holding the blankets, walked toward her direction. After handing the newly bought blanket to her assistant, she didn’t imdiately leave but instead quietly observed Lorraine Hughes.
Lorraine Hughes’ gaze shifted from Adrian Walyon to her face.
Seeing the wound on Sumr Sutton’s forehead, Lorraine Hughes was montarily stunned.
"Miss Sutton, what happened? How did you get hurt?"
"Had an accident in Miss Hughes’ car." Sumr Sutton said with an expressionless face.
Lorraine Hughes seed sowhat surprised, her eyes widening a bit, "Really? How did this happen? Was the road too slippery, or was there an accidental mishap for not paying attention to the road?"
"It was Miss Hughes’ car that malfunctioned." Sumr Sutton looked directly at her, secretly observing her reaction.
Lorraine Hughes didn’t speak, but her assistant couldn’t help but interject, "How could this happen? How could it malfunction? Where’s the problem? When the driver drove us and Miss Hughes to the set this morning, everything was fine, didn’t feel any issues! The car has been parked at the set since arrival, and no one touched it."
The assistant said a lot, but Sumr Sutton didn’t listen to most of it.
She kept watching Lorraine Hughes, as if trying to see through her.
Lorraine Hughes’ assistant continued speaking on her own, "Since we arrived at the scene, the car has been parked here untouched, and everyone in the crew can testify to that. Also, nobody knew Miss Sutton would co to the set today, right?"
Although Sumr Sutton didn’t ask anything, the assistant answered her doubts one by one.
Lorraine Hughes didn’t know Sumr Sutton would co to the set today, eliminating the possibility of tampering with the car in advance.
When Lorraine Hughes arrived in the morning, the car was fine, and she and her assistant safely arrived. Saying there’s a problem with the car didn’t quite make sense either.
This was the assistant’s ssage conveyed to Sumr Sutton.
Sumr Sutton completely ignored the assistant, stared at Lorraine Hughes for a long while, then withdrew her gaze.
"I’m just stating the facts, Miss Hughes’ car should be repaired, lest it injures you soday." With no expression on her face, Sumr Sutton blandly left a remark and turned to walk toward the distant Adrian Walyon.
Her way of looking at Lorraine Hughes seed suddenly different from usual.
Lorraine Hughes couldn’t quite comprehend the reason why Sumr Sutton stared at her for so long.
Her gaze followed Sumr’s figure and Lorraine Hughes looked at her dazedly for quite a while.
