Once everyone left, Sophie Walyon couldn’t be bothered to keep pretending. Hugging her water cup, she took several big gulps and smiled at Sumr Sutton beside her, "Look, I did pretty well with my acting, right?"
Sumr Sutton was quite speechless towards her, but she still cooperatively praised her, "Mm, very good."
Her words were purely to humor the kid.
Little did she know, Sophie Walyon got cocky about it.
"I actually think so too." She raised her little chin proudly, glanced at Sumr Sutton, and mischievously popped out with another sentence, "Do you think I’m especially cute and make you want to have a kid like ?"
That confidence of hers...
As expected, she’s a genuine Walyon bloodline, just like Adrian Walyon.
"I pretended for a whole day, and I’m exhausted." Sophie Walyon patted her legs, numb from lying in bed all day, and started to move her arms.
Sumr Sutton helped her massage her arms, seemingly wanting to say sothing, "Actually..."
She had already started, but then felt there was no need to say so much to a child.
What she wanted to say was that Sophie Walyon didn’t need to do all this.
The Old Master’s attitude about her returning to the Walyon Family is no longer as firm as before. The main reason she hasn’t moved back is still because Sumr Sutton is unwilling.
Sophie Walyon didn’t care about all the ’actually’ stuff, very seriously giving her opinion, "Since we’re back, we should stay well. Even if we don’t stay, at least you should ease the relationship with Grandpa and Mom. If your relationship isn’t reconciled, one day my mom might not think clearly and introduce a bunch of daughters of her friends to my brother. As the rightful queen, doesn’t that tire you out?"
She spoke quite sensibly. Although young, she had her own insightful perspective.
Sumr Sutton looked at her, unsure if she should be grateful to her.
Ha, she’s really thinking so thoroughly for her!
Because of pretending to be sick today, Sophie Walyon hadn’t eaten properly and had been drinking bland porridge all day. Now her stomach was full of water, rumbling.
Rubbing her hungry belly, she began coaxing Sumr Sutton to sneak her so food from the kitchen downstairs.
She knew she was pretending to be sick, and Sumr Sutton couldn’t just openly bring up a bunch of delicious food, but her requests were still nurous.
"I want scallion ribs, want the roasted duck made at ho tonight, want fried wings, and also want the yam taro cake. Oh, and there’s a can of cola in the fridge, sis-in-law, can you bring it too?"
At once, she listed a whole bunch of foods.
She’s supposed to be soone with a high fever, and now Sumr Sutton is supposed to secretly get so many things for her?
Sumr Sutton felt like she was being put in a difficult position.
Sophie Walyon lifted her face to look at her, pitifully, "Now in the whole house, only you know I’m pretending to be sick. If you don’t help , no one will."
Sumr Sutton took several deep breaths, glaring at her again and again. She really didn’t want to do this, but she couldn’t bear to see her hungry.
Sumr Sutton couldn’t do anything about her, so she left the room to find a way for her.
Probably because Adrian Walyon had just returned, everyone in the Walyon Family seed to be gone, likely in the conference hall for a family eting.
Sumr Sutton hadn’t officially returned to the Walyon Family yet, so for her to be so casual in this ho made her feel very awkward.
