Raising her face to look at him, Sumr Sutton paused for a mont.
Adrian Walyon was also looking at her, his dark eyes like an abyss in the night, deep and profound.
At the corner of the corridor, the Old Master happened to be coming upstairs.
He looked in the direction of the couple, stared at Sumr Sutton for a mont and casually said, "Since you’re back, stay."
After throwing out these words, he headed to his room.
Sumr Sutton returned to the Walyon Family today after Sophie Walyon put a lot of effort into it.
Now that she’s back, it would waste all Sophie’s painstaking efforts if she just leaves after visiting Sophie.
Sumr Sutton purely doesn’t want to disappoint the child, so she agreed to the Old Master’s words.
When they returned, the Walyon Family servants had already tidied up the master bedroom.
The room that Sumr Sutton and Adrian Walyon had once shared hadn’t been entered since she left a year ago.
Everything in the room remained as it was when she left. The sheets and blankets were washed clean, and it seed soone arranged the room daily.
Adrian Walyon had been staring at Sumr Sutton all night.
Since Sumr Sutton ca out of Sophie Walyon’s room, his gaze hadn’t left her.
Sumr Sutton paused, montarily unsure what he was looking at.
Frowning in suspicion, Sumr Sutton went into the bathroom to wash up.
Adrian Walyon leisurely walked in, leaned against the doorway, just watching her, lost in thought.
Staring at her, he suddenly remarked, "Actually, I feel the sa way about what Sophie said."
Sumr Sutton was running bath water, her hand shook a bit, causing the showerhead to spray in her direction, soaking her.
It was the middle of winter, and the water temperature wasn’t even warm yet.
The cold water seeped into her clothes, making Sumr Sutton shiver so hard she almost jumped.
"Ah! It’s freezing! So cold!" Shaking off the water droplets, Sumr Sutton was so cold she began stomping her feet.
Adrian Walyon found her current state both silly and stupid, the corner of his lips twitched, grabbing a towel and walked over, draping it over her.
"Stupid, aren’t you?" His tone sounded like he was extrely annoyed with her, yet his actions were to rub her body for warmth.
He turned on the bathroom heater, helped her rub her arms, resting her against the wall behind her, his handso face lowered, almost touching her nose, "What you think about what I said just now?"
"..." Sumr Sutton was dumbfounded.
Adrian Walyon helped wipe the water droplets off her pale neck, encircle her waist with his arms, lightly kissed her neck.
"Whether it’s a son or a daughter, it’s all good." His voice, husky, resonated in the quiet winter night like aged wine, intoxicating, "As long as it’s ours!"
Sumr Sutton’s mind buzzed, her hand in his arm tightening relentlessly.
He wanted children...
But, getting married and having children is a mutual decision, why have a child to ease relations with other family mbers?
Why have a child to stabilize one’s position in this family?
It felt as if the child was born to be a tool for her advancent.
Sumr Sutton didn’t like this feeling.
