If we’re really going to have children, Sumr Sutton hopes the reason for their birth is purely out of love, without any other purpose mixed in.
Adrian Walyon buried his head on her body, kissing here and there, already starting to take off the clothes on her.
For the past couple of days, when he wanted to do this kind of thing, he just went straight for it, without bothering with any precautions.
As soon as he removed Sumr Sutton’s clothes, he was ready to rush straight in.
As Sumr Sutton stepped back, her back pressed the switch for the hot water.
The showerhead burst out water instantly, drenching them both.
The freezing cold water, when it hit the body, felt like ice shards; Sumr Sutton didn’t even have her clothes on.
She shivered several tis in Adrian Walyon’s arms, curling up into a ball from the cold.
Adrian Walyon wanted to pick her up and carry her to the bedroom, but Sumr Sutton’s hand pressed down on his arm.
She pulled his coat over herself, looking up at him, her gaze shimring like stars lighting up the night sky.
"Adrian Walyon..." she called his na slowly, her expression more serious than ever, "About having a child, I won’t refuse when you want one. But, if possible, I hope our child is born into a simple environnt, and that their birth is only due to the parents’ expectations, without any other reason, do you understand?"
Her request couldn’t be simpler; it’s just the purest wish a parent has for their child.
Adrian Walyon stared at her in a daze, seemingly not expecting her to say such things.
Sumr Sutton kept shivering in his arms, sneezing several tis.
Adrian Walyon snapped out of it, grabbed a robe to wrap her up, and carried her horizontally to the bedroom.
After placing her on the bed, Sumr Sutton thought he would continue, but to her surprise, he lay down beside her instead.
Sumr Sutton actually didn’t want to do this sort of thing at all tonight. During the day, she’d been injured and frozen for so long, now her head felt dizzy. She wasn’t like Sophie Walyon, who had a fever of 41 degrees, which was already quite lucky.
Sumr Sutton’s head felt heavy, and just as she was about to drift off to sleep, she heard Adrian Walyon’s voice.
Low and hoarse, seemingly sowhat helpless, "Fool..."
Every woman in Northtown tries all possible ways to get into the Walyon Family’s elite circle, and those who manage to get in, rack their brains trying to get pregnant for the sole purpose of securing their position in such a family.
And here she is, indifferent to it all!
At this ti, Sumr Sutton’s head was really dizzy, she covered herself with the quilt, and drifted off to sleep.
When she woke up the next day, it was still early.
As the year-end approaches, the Walyon Family mansion already has a festive atmosphere, with the servants busy preparing for the New Year.
As Sumr Sutton went downstairs, the Old Master was having breakfast at the dining table.
Looking up and fixing his gaze on her for a mont, the old man calmly uttered, "Co back for the New Year this year!"
This was his way of already considering Sumr Sutton part of the family, demanding her presence for family occasions, like the New Year or major celebrations at the Walyon Family.
Before Sumr Sutton could say anything, Adrian Walyon walked down from upstairs, pulled her over, and casually flung a response to the Old Master, "Alright."
The Old Master said nothing more, lowered his head, and continued drinking his porridge.
Adrian Walyon led Sumr Sutton over, sat down next to him, and began eating breakfast too.
His actions were so natural, as if the year-long estrangent never existed.
