Ariella Sawyer’s mind was blank; suddenly she didn’t know how to have a normal phone conversation.
But since she had already made the call, wouldn’t it be easier to cause misunderstandings if she didn’t state the purpose?
Ariella carefully considered her words and finally gathered enough courage to speak, "Mr. Walyon, do you have ti tomorrow? If so, I would like to invite you to dinner at Starpoint Restaurant at seven tomorrow night, for the matter in the valley yesterday and this endorsent."
On the other end of the phone, there was a quietness after her words.
Ariella nervously pressed the phone against her chest, feeling her heart pounding quickly as if it might leap out of her throat.
Ryan Walyon was still silent; he said nothing after her words.
The longer he was silent, the longer Ariella was nervous.
It was her first ti actively inviting a man; she didn’t know if her call would cause Ryan Walyon to misunderstand.
She still didn’t know if Ryan Walyon would agree.
Ryan Walyon’s silence lasted a bit too long; Ariella originally thought that he would at least say if he was coming or not.
Unexpectedly, after waiting nervously for a long ti, what she got was the monotonous tone of disconnection.
Ryan Walyon had directly hung up the phone!
What does hanging up the phone an?
Did he agree or not?
Ariella was montarily dumbfounded...
...
After finishing the call, Ryan Walyon walked out of the kitchen and happened to see Sumr Sutton.
He glanced towards her indifferently and stared at her for quite a while.
Sumr Sutton was startled for a mont, unable to understand what he was looking at.
"There’s nothing between Ariella and ." Ryan Walyon took a deep breath and threw a sentence at her, then bypassed her and went straight upstairs.
Sumr Sutton turned her head to watch him leave, feeling a bit overwheld.
There’s completely nothing, then what does last ti’s kiss at the club an?
...
The next day.
Ariella was sowhat distracted for the whole day; during the show recording, she zoned out several tis.
After finishing the show, on the way back to her residence in the afternoon, her agent kept reporting the schedule for the next week, "Tomorrow you’ll continue recording a full day of programs, the day after tomorrow, you need to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the morning, participate in two event appearances in the afternoon, and there’s an interview event at night, then enter the crew..."
The agent listed many things for each day one by one.
Halfway through the speech, she turned to look at Ariella and found she was distracted the whole ti.
The agent frowned and tapped the clipboard in her hand against Ariella’s head, "Did you rember everything I just said?"
Ariella snapped back to reality, rubbed her aching head, and stared blankly, "What?"
"I said, did you rember the schedule I just told you?" the agent asked seriously.
Ariella, "..."
Her silence made the agent’s face turn sowhat dark.
After taking several deep breaths, Julia Chapman placed the clipboard aside with a thud, crossed her arms over her chest, and spoke seriously, "If you’re thinking about Ryan Walyon right now, I’ll forgive all your distractions just now, otherwise..."
She paused and suddenly curled her lips into a smile, a slightly sinister smile.
Ariella’s back shivered inexplicably.
"Caring more about Ryan Walyon is a good thing; it’s not easy to find a big tree, and finding a big tree like Ryan Walyon is a blessing for several lifetis. You just need soone like Ryan Walyon to give you a boost, understand?" The agent stared at her for a long ti, patted her shoulder, couldn’t bear to scold her.
Her words were quite straightforward, just asking Ariella to take the opportunity to hold tightly onto Ryan Walyon’s coattails to rise.
