Ignoring her manager’s words, after taking the company car back to her residence, she thought of her phone call with Ryan Walyon the night before, touched up her makeup, and at six o’clock, she headed to the wardrobe.
Her fingers glided over rows of clothes, and she deliberately chose a dress that she would never wear unless attending an event or filming.
It was the end of January, the middle of winter, and the weather was bitterly cold.
Wearing a dress was actually quite chilly, and for soone like Ariella, who usually bundled up like a bear outside of work, winter dress-wearing was a real test.
In the mirror, she looked beautiful, her long hair reaching her shoulders, lips red, teeth white, with the dress adding an extra touch of feminine grace.
Ariella stared at her reflection repeatedly, very pleased with her look, and at six-thirty, she stepped out the door.
Just as she reached the entrance of the community, the cold wind swept through her skirt, cutting her like knives, making her shiver several tis.
But, thinking that the restaurant would be warm soon, she gritted her teeth and jumped into the car.
After a twenty-minute drive, she reached the restaurant, kept her head down as she went in, found a table, and quietly sat down to wait.
She arrived a few minutes earlier than the ti she had told Ryan Walyon on the phone yesterday, and while waiting, Ariella felt anxious.
In fact, yesterday Ryan hadn’t actually said whether he would co today; she was unsure if he would actually show up later.
After waiting in the restaurant for a while, at seven, she glanced outside the restaurant.
Snow was falling outside, and on a snowy day, it was cold, with few pedestrians passing by, and no sign of Ryan.
Ariella unlocked her phone screen, playing with her phone while quietly keeping an eye on the ti.
She was a celebrity, though not quite at the top tier, she had been in many productions and had so fa.
Since she entered the restaurant, many of the dining guests around had fixated their gaze upon her.
Ariella didn’t want to cause a stir, feeling a bit embarrassed as she grabbed a newspaper to cover her face.
Yet, this didn’t stop the surrounding whispers.
"Isn’t that Ariella?"
"Yes, it’s her. Who is she eting?"
"Is she really in a relationship?"

Ariella desperately wanted to explain, but she also didn’t want her face overly exposed.
Ignoring the group of people, she kept her head down and continued to wait quietly.
Ten minutes passed, with no cars stopping outside.
Twenty minutes passed, and Ryan’s figure still didn’t appear.
Thirty minutes, even an hour passed, and he never showed up at the restaurant.
After waiting for so long, it suddenly felt like a cold splash of water, bringing her to clarity.
There was really no connection between herself and Ryan; he was always so busy, why should he et her?
Plus, he hadn’t even agreed to co yesterday.
He rescued her, helped her, likely due to his ties with Sumr?
From the start, they were worlds apart.
