Sumr Sutton finished the fruit on her plate and, feeling a chill in her stomach, calmly went to the buffet area to get a steaming bowl of soup to drink slowly.

Diana Wood left a bunch of guests behind to go upstairs, and for the rest of the evening, she disregarded everything at the banquet.
Sumr Sutton finished her hot soup slowly, stood up, and alongside Sophie Walyon, walked through the banquet venue as if nothing had happened, even helping her greet guests.
"Everyone who ca to the Walyons tonight is a guest of the family; if any hosts fell short, we hope for your understanding."
She walked through the crowd, smiling and conversing with the guests around her, calmly dealing with various situations, her deanor gracious and composed, fulfilling all obligations of a host.
Lorraine Hughes, standing by, was montarily dazzled by the sight.
Was she asserting her status as the lady of this house?
The banquet ended at nine-thirty.
Sumr Sutton escorted all the guests out of the Walyon Family’s door.
Usually, she had almost no presence in the Walyon Family; in Diana’s circle of friends, everyone treated her like a pushover, rarely hearing Diana ntion her.
But after tonight, all the guests who ca here rembered her na.

Diana Wood had been sulking these few days, almost never showing up at the dining table for three als a day, deliberately avoiding Adrian Walyon and his wife.
Sumr Sutton never said much at the banquet the past couple of days; just ntioning moving back to Morning Garden had already sanctioned Diana Wood.
Diana was not as ddleso as before these days, noticeably more well-behaved, occasionally running into Sumr Sutton at ho, only glaring at her, stifled with words but saying nothing.
She was truly impressed by Sumr Sutton.
The mother-in-law conflict isn’t particularly severe now, but if it worsens, she’s afraid Sumr will take the child abroad after it’s born.
After all, the Morningview Group is already overseas, and the family moving to the United Kingdom makes work convenient.
Now Diana Wood is sowhat apprehensive about Sumr Sutton.
The day after the banquet, Adrian Walyon still went to work at the Walyon Clan Group.
In the afternoon, he received an invitation; it was a call from Lorraine Hughes’s father.
The two companies have been cooperating, and previously, any business matters from the Hughes Family were always handled through Adrian Walyon.
Father Hughes arranged to et Adrian at a mountain resort hotel, the ti being five in the afternoon, just right after work.
Adrian handled affairs at the company during the day, then after work drove straight to the agreed resort.
He didn’t explicitly tell Sumr Sutton whom he was eting, only ntioning over the phone that he’d be ho late and arranged for a driver to pick her up.
