Sumr Sutton hid behind a stone pillar, quietly staring in the direction of the two people.
She had seen Watt Bennet stand up before; when she stayed at Watt’s villa, he even climbed the stairs himself so as not to hurt his dignity.
Earlier, he had no problem standing up, although climbing stairs took a while, at least he could manage it slowly.
However, today Watt Bennet stood with the aid of a handrail, his body not fully straightened before his leg suddenly collapsed, and then his tall figure fell towards the floor.
The loud thud was sowhat muffled when it echoed in the bathroom.
Accompanied by what seed to be a gasp of pain.
Watt’s fall seed to shock Alexander Winslow, who squatted beside him in a flurry, nervously checking his leg, "I told you I’d help, what are you showing off for? Not crippled enough?"
He cursed harshly, yet it was clear he cared a lot about Watt Bennet.
Watt ignored him, lying on the floor, cold sweat beaded heavily on his forehead.
He seed unable to even stand up; he lay there for a long ti, only sitting up with the weight of his body supported by Alexander.
Sumr Sutton stared blankly at this scene not far away, her eyes ached.
Alexander Winslow kept swearing at Watt Bennet, calling him stubborn as a mule, saying his pride brings suffering, claiming he’s challenging his dical skills.
Cursing, he glanced sideways and saw Sumr Sutton, and his expressions froze instantly.
Watt Bennet sensed sothing off in his gaze, and paused for a few seconds.
His stiff gaze turned sideways, spotting Sumr Sutton standing over there, his mind blank.
Sumr Sutton stared at him blankly, her eyes red, aching from tightness.
Why did he never tell her his leg injury was this severe?
Watt Bennet’s expression seed sowhat awkward, avoiding her eyes, trying to get up from the floor, only to fall back down again.
Sumr Sutton ran over without a word, trying to help him, but he pushed her arm away, "Go!"
His gaze was evasive, as if he didn’t want her to see him like this.
Sumr Sutton’s hand froze in mid-air, remaining fixed like that.
Alexander Winslow quickly helped Watt Bennet up, pressing him onto a wheelchair, tidied his shirt, and instead of returning to the dining table, took him directly to the Winslow Family hospital.
Although the Winslow Family wasn’t very successful in business, they ran quite a large hospital, currently one of the best in the country.
Additionally, with a brilliant doctor like Alexander Winslow in charge, they were highly reputable outside, and their dical equipnt was advanced.
After taking Watt Bennet inside, Alexander conducted a series of checks on him, then led him to his exclusive recovery room here.
After a few hours of bustling back and forth in the hospital, it was already late at night when he stepped out, finding Sumr Sutton standing outside.
He had no idea how long she’d been standing there, just quietly at the entrance, her gaze fixated on the inside of the hospital.
She seed worried about Watt Bennet’s injury, her eyes filled with concern.
Seeing him co out, Sumr Sutton grabbed his hand, "How is he?"
Her eyes were red, her voice thick with a sob.
Although she didn’t know Watt Bennet’s condition, just seeing that fall earlier, she could imagine the pain.
Looking at her like this made Alexander Winslow feel particularly unsettled.
