Alexander Winslow pondered over and over, gesturing for her to get into his car.
Sumr Sutton got in with him, and Alexander drove her to a late-night fruit tea shop.
The two found a place to sit down, Alexander pushed a cup of fruit tea to her, "You’ve seen his condition."
Sumr nodded.
Alexander lightly tapped his fingertips on the fruit tea cup, pondered for a mont before slowly speaking, "It’s very serious, very serious."
Sumr suddenly lifted her face, her heart in a twist.
Alexander took a gentle sip of his fruit tea, slowly opened his mouth, "I t Watt Bennet in Northern Ireland, when he encountered , he was badly injured."
Without any expression, he looked at Sumr.
He didn’t say what the injury was, nor did he reveal Watt Bennet’s identity.
However, ntioning Northern Ireland, Alexander believed Sumr could already guess everything.
Sumr’s hand holding the fruit tea trembled, her delicate white hand clutched the teaspoon tightly.
"After I saved him, he spent several weeks in the hospital. At that ti, his leg injury was already very severe. I tried to treat him myself, switched many hospitals, and the result was always the sa, a complete recovery probability only at ten percent."
Sumr lowered her face slightly, quietly listening.
"Such a probability is basically the sa as having no chance of recovery." Alexander gently blew on the tea’s heat, his voice continued, "I don’t have other strengths, but when it cos to dical matters, I’ve never given up. So, during this period, despite knowing his chance of recovery is extrely minuscule, I haven’t stopped researching new dication, wanting to help him get better."
Sumr quietly listened, without interrupting.
"All this month long, I have always believed I could make it happen." Alexander slightly held his breath, unexpectedly lifted his face, "But what I didn’t expect was encountering soone who doesn’t cherish himself like him!"
Sumr paused, not understanding what he ant.
"The last ti at the Winslow Family, when you had an incident, he took you to the hospital." Alexander took a sip of tea, his heart feeling blocked, "Step by step he carried you into the ward!"
Sumr was stunned, her face becoming slightly pale.
"As his attending doctor, can you imagine how nervous I was seeing him stand up? Standing was already prohibited by his injuries, and he walked such a long distance, every night after recalling that scene, I couldn’t sleep! With just that one stand, all long recovery efforts beforehand were wasted!" Alexander placed the cup down with a snap, seemingly speaking with so anger.
Sumr, "..."
"After that night, his leg injury took a very long ti to treat, many foreign doctors were invited, a group of people exhausted their brain cells. At that ti, I was already very worried about his injuries, but what I didn’t expect was shortly after, the incident at sea happened. Adding together both events, his injuries worsened to how they are now."
Alexander slightly held his breath, his eyes drifted towards her, observing her reaction without showing any emotion.
Sumr looked at him in shock, seemingly dumbfounded.
"During the ti Watt Bennet was avoiding you, he was actually undergoing ergency treatnt for his leg injury."
