"What is that?"

The pink-haired girl pointed toward a corner near the school gate entrance.

As a Sword Immortal Sequence user, her perception of anomalies wasn't as exaggerated as a pathfinder's sensitivity to the supernatural.

But she could still detect sothing wrong around the gate area.

Everyone looked in the direction the pink-haired girl indicated.

They saw an eyeball floating there, its pupil constantly rotating.

Judging by the fresh blood on the eyeball and the connected blood vessels, it had clearly been removed quite recently.

"This is..."

The eyeball was still active, and upon being discovered, it imdiately tried to fly away.

Chen Ye's eyes turned cold as his Smoke Breath quickly restrained the eyeball.

"Wait!"

Chu Che stopped him, pulling out a small white pouch from his chest and carefully placing the eyeball inside it.

The surface of the small pouch bore so mysterious-looking symbols.

"Let's wait until Squad Leader Wu finishes, then ask for his opinion."

Chen Ye stared at Chu Che's white pouch.

"This pouch has the effect of blocking supernatural aura—it's a very low-level item, not as mysterious as you might think."

Chu Che offered a simple explanation, his tone carrying so implication.

Chen Ye rubbed his nose: "Squad Leader Chu, am I really that kind of person? Soone who wants every good thing he sees?"

"Do you really need to ask yourself that?"

Chu Che retorted with clear annoyance.

He was genuinely sowhat afraid that Chen Ye might think this was so incredible Wonder and try to pull a double-cross on him.

...

Classroom 3, Grade 4.

The group returned to this classroom, their expressions sowhat heavy.

They had just found a suitable place to live, and now they had to leave?

Even Chen Ye didn't want to go.

"The supernatural has always been unpredictable and unfathomable—our understanding of it is still far too limited."

"Before, we thought supernatural entities couldn't appear during dayti, but now..."

"The previous Human-Faced Scorpion, then the later Headless Sand Snake, and today's incident!"

"Actually, you should have realized long ago—the supernatural is also growing stronger!"

"And the rate at which they're growing stronger far surpasses that of Sequence Superpowers!"

Chu Che spoke these words with difficulty, his expression very heavy.

In truth, this kind of thought had been hidden in Chu Che's heart for several months.

Chen Ye's face showed no surprise.

Not only was Chen Ye unsurprised, but even Ding Dong, Iron Lion, and the pink-haired girl weren't surprised either.

"Perhaps, in the future, surviving will beco increasingly difficult for us!"

"Sequence Superpowers are the only thod to deal with them."

"Only with enough Sequence Superpowers users, enough..."

"Maybe then we humans will have a sliver of hope."

"You always say I'm indecisive, that I'm too soft-hearted, wanting to save everyone."

"But... we were ordinary people once too."

"The ordinary people we abandon today might awaken as Sequence Superpowers users tomorrow."

"Then humanity would gain one more shred of hope!"

"We... we can't afford to lose any more people."

Hearing Chu Che's words, Chen Ye fell into silence.

He thought of so issues, but ultimately said nothing.

"Squad Leader Chu, why are these supernatural entities so completely unrestrained now? Do we really have no hope left?"

The speaker was Ding Dong.

She didn't want to leave this place.

Last night, she had already found Wu Jianshan, who agreed to give up one classroom for Ding Dong to build a greenhouse for growing potatoes.

There were still so potatoes left from those brought out of Longevity Village.

Ding Dong had already claid all of them.

Originally, Ding Dong planned to start building a simple greenhouse today to try growing so potatoes and other vegetables.

Although it would be difficult, Ding Dong still wanted to try.

The climate in the apocalypse was complex and changeable—it was impossible to find perfect conditions.

Hearing Ding Dong's question, Chu Che organized his thoughts before speaking:

"First: The supernatural is growing stronger—you should have sensed this yourselves."

"Second: You've been here for a day now—have any of you seen sunlight?"

Everyone shook their heads.

Since stepping into this heavy snowfall, no one had seen the sun in the sky.

The blood moon at night still appeared as usual.

"Third: The reason supernatural entities were dormant during dayti and active at night before was likely related to the blood moon."

"The reason we don't see the blood moon during dayti isn't because it disappears."

"And now, the blood moon's energy is growing increasingly stronger, already beginning to affect the dayti environnt, resulting in more entities being able to appear during daylight!"

"We should be grateful that if supernatural entities could appear during dayti from the beginning..."

"None of us would probably be standing here right now."

"Previously, supernatural entities couldn't appear during dayti—perhaps that was a slim chance for survival given to us by heaven."

"As for the fourth point: Have you heard the theory that the fusion of different worlds caused the apocalypse?"

"It's possible that the degree of interworld fusion is deepening, having an increasingly profound impact on our world, and supernatural entities have adapted to dayti, hence daring to appear during daylight."

Chu Che's voice was very heavy, but he spoke with clear logic.

Clearly, as a pathfinder most sensitive to the supernatural, these thoughts had been buried in his heart for a long ti.

The atmosphere at the scene beca very heavy for a mont.

"Enough, enough—it's already the apocalypse, and you're all looking so mournful! Just take it one day at a ti!"

"As for what happens later, we'll deal with it later!"

Chen Ye held a cigarette in his mouth, his eyes as deep and dark as a winter midnight.

"Squad Leader Chu, whether people die or not isn't sothing we can decide. Previously, Wu Jianshan said this place should be absolutely safe!"

"But people have already started dying now."

"Shouldn't we leave?"

Chu Che didn't answer imdiately, instead glancing at the four words on the blackboard that others couldn't see: "They eat people!!!"

Those three exclamation marks made Chu Che's heart race with fear.

"Wu Jianshan was right—before we ca, this place was safe."

"Our arrival broke the peace here."

"Counting us, there are about 140 to 150 people in this entire school."

"The more people there are, the stronger the attraction for supernatural entities!"

"With just dozens of people before, the Death God could still provide protection, but with over a hundred people now, the attraction for supernatural entities is fatal."

"This many people is already enough for those supernatural entities to resist their fear of the Death God."

"This morning's incident is enough to show that those supernatural entities are beginning to grow restless."

"And, in my perception, these supernatural entities are indeed becoming restless."

Chu Che's words shattered the sense of security that Chen Ye had gained from his increased strength.

Chen Ye thought of Wu Jianshan, thought of the Death God, thought of the Death God Blood Tears.

He would go find Wu Jianshan soon—he absolutely had to get the Death God Blood Tears.

"If there's fifty percent profit, capital becos bold; if there's three hundred percent profit, capital will trample everything."

"You might understand it this way."

Chu Che seed to feel that everyone didn't fully comprehend, so he directly added this explanation.

"Chu Che is correct."

"So, are you willing to join the Death God Church?"

But just at that mont, the elusive bishop suddenly appeared at the doorway, a warm smile on his face.

Chen Ye's eyes lit up—seeing Wu Jianshan now was like a hyena spotting fat at.

"Old Wu, such a big incident happened in your territory, and you're only showing up now?"

"If you hadn't co out, I would've gone looking for you."

"Old Wu, Chu Che caught an eyeball—take a look and tell us what this is?"

If Wu Jianshan really invited them to join the Death God Church right now...

Chu Che himself wasn't worried.

But Iron Lion, Sun Xixi, and Ding Dong would likely agree.

If they agreed now, then there would be no room for his own operations.

If you want us to join, it's not impossible, but at least show so sincerity.

You can't just rely on empty talk.

In just one second, Chen Ye had already planned in his heart how to fleece this Death God Church archbishop.

What bullshit brotherhood.

To survive, nothing else matters!
