Now reading: Chapter 48: BREAKING POINT from Shadow Husband:I Have a Hidden SSS-Class System, a Fantasy novel by Coolos3.

At 86% corruption, Rama’s perception of reality changed fundantally.

He could see dinsions layered on top of each other like transparent sheets. Could feel the void dinsion’s structure—every fold, every weak point, every impossible angle.

And he could hurt the Guardian.

His strike carved through its conceptual form, leaving wounds that actually bled void energy.

"Adequate," the Guardian said, its tone shifting from dismissive to interested. "At 86% void integration, you can damage . But can you kill ?"

Rama attacked again, faster now. His Void Walk ability no longer required conscious activation—he existed partially out of phase constantly, reality uncertain around him.

Each hit landed solid. Each one did real damage.

But the Guardian was Level 250 in this dinsion. Even wounded, it was vastly stronger.

It counterattacked, reality bending around its strikes.

Rama phased through so attacks. Dodged others. Took hits that would have killed him at lower corruption but now only hurt.

[HP: 34 → 12 → 23 → 8]

His HP yo-yoed as his void nature granted regeneration, then damage stripped it away, then regeneration kicked in again.

He was surviving.

But barely.

And his corruption kept rising.

[CORRUPTION: 86% → 87% → 88%]

"You’re transforming," the Guardian observed. "Another few percent and you’ll be void completely. No longer human. One of us."

"I’ll never be one of you," Rama gasped.

"You already are. 88% void. Only 12% human remains. Accept it."

Rama pushed harder, attacking with everything. His hybrid nature let him manipulate the void dinsion itself—pulling chunks of reality, throwing them at the Guardian, tearing holes in space.

The Guardian laughed. "Using our own realm against us. Creative. But futile."

It was right.

For every wound Rama inflicted, the Guardian healed. For every advantage Rama gained, the Guardian countered.

They were evenly matched.

Which ant Rama was losing.

Because his corruption was rising and the Guardian’s power was infinite here.

[CORRUPTION: 88% → 89% → 90%]

At 90%, Rama’s body began changing visibly.

His skin took on a translucent quality, void energy visible beneath the surface. His hands beca claws—not taphorically, but literally. Sharp. Dangerous. Wrong.

He looked at them in horror.

"There it is," the Guardian said. "The realization. You’ve gone too far. You can’t co back from 90%. You’re void now. Functionally, permanently."

"I’m still ," Rama said, but his voice was different. Layered. Multiple tones at once.

"Are you? Test it. Try to rember sothing human. Sothing that made you... you."

Rama tried to rember Sekar’s face.

It was fuzzy. Distant. Like looking at a photo through thick glass.

He tried to rember why he was fighting.

The reason was there, but the emotion attached to it was muted. Dulled. Like he understood the concept of caring but couldn’t feel it anymore.

"You see?" the Guardian said. "At 90% void, your humanity is nearly gone. You’re thinking like us now. Logically. Mathematically. Without the ssy emotions that make humans weak."

"Then I’ll use that," Rama said coldly. "Logic and math. Calculate your death."

He attacked with pure efficiency. No wasted movent. No emotional strikes. Just optimal damage patterns calculated in real-ti.

It worked better.

The Guardian took serious damage, its form destabilizing.

"Impressive," it said. "But still insufficient. You need more power. Push to 95%. Then you might actually threaten ."

Rama hesitated.

90% felt like a cliff edge. 95% felt like jumping off it.

But the Guardian was right. At his current level, he couldn’t win.

He needed more power.

And more power ant more corruption.

[CORRUPTION: 90% → 91%]

It was rising on its own now. The void dinsion converting him passively.

In minutes, he’d be at 95% whether he chose it or not.

He could resist. Try to hold at 90%. Maybe survive long enough to retreat.

Or he could embrace it. Push to 95%. Gain the power to actually win.

Behind him, through the dinsional tear he’d left open, he could hear voices. Sekar shouting his na. The team trying to co back for him.

He couldn’t let them.

Rama turned and sealed the tear with a gesture. Cutting himself off from Earth. From retreat. From hope.

"Interesting choice," the Guardian said. "You’re committed now. Win or die. No escape."

"I was always committed." Rama stopped resisting the corruption. "I just needed to accept what that ant."

He let the void flood in completely.

[CORRUPTION: 91% → 94% → 97%]

At 97%, Rama stopped being remotely human.

His body beca fluid. Shifting between states. Solid when convenient. Incorporeal when necessary. His mind expanded, seeing possibilities and probabilities like mathematical equations.

He understood the void now. Completely. Intimately.

Because he was void.

Only 3% human remained.

And he could finally fight the Guardian as an equal.

His strike tore through its conceptual form, dealing devastating damage.

The Guardian staggered—the first ti it had shown weakness.

"97%," it said. "You’ve gone further than I expected. Further than most humans could and remain... aware."

"I’m aware," Rama said. His voice was fully void now. No humanity left in the sound. "I know exactly what I’m doing."

"Do you? At 97%, you’ve lost almost everything that made you human. Your emotions. Your attachnts. Your reason for fighting. Why continue?"

Rama paused.

Why was he fighting?

The answer should be obvious. He was protecting Earth. Protecting Sekar. Protecting humanity.

But at 97% void, those felt like abstract concepts. Things he understood intellectually but didn’t feel.

"Because I chose to," he said finally. "Before I transford. When I was human. I chose to fight. That choice still stands."

"A choice made by soone who no longer exists. You’re void now. Join us. Stop this pointless resistance."

"No."

"Why?"

Rama searched for the answer. Deep in the 3% of humanity that remained.

And found it.

"Because that 3% says no. And I’m listening to it."

He attacked with everything. 97% void power. 3% human will.

The combination was devastating.

The Guardian’s form shattered under the assault. Its conceptual structure breaking down.

"Impossible," it said. "You’re... you’re winning."

"Yes."

"But you’ve lost yourself. 97% void. Even if you win, you can’t go back. You’ll never be human again."

"I know."

"Then why—"

"Because 3% of still cares. And that’s enough."

Rama delivered a final strike, pouring everything into it.

The Guardian scread and began dissolving.

But as it died, it spoke one last ti.

"You win this battle. But you doom yourself. 97% void cannot exist on Earth. The corruption will spread. You’ll transform everyone you’re near. You’ve beco the very thing you fought against."

Then it was gone.

[THRESHOLD GUARDIAN: DEFEATED]

[PERMANENT GATE: PREVENTED]

[EARTH: SAVED]

Rama stood alone in the void dinsion.

Victory achieved.

Earth saved.

But at what cost?

He looked at his hands. They weren’t hands anymore. Just void energy shaped like hands. Barely solid. Barely real.

He looked at his corruption.

[CORRUPTION: 97%]

Three percent human.

The Guardian’s final words echoed.

He couldn’t go back to Earth. At 97%, his re presence would corrupt everyone near him. He’d doom the planet he’d just saved.

He was trapped.

Trapped in the void dinsion.

Trapped as a void entity.

Trapped in a victory that felt like defeat.

Then his corruption ticked up one more ti.

[CORRUPTION: 97% → 98%]

Two percent human.

And rising.

He had minutes before he hit 100%.

Before he transford completely.

Before he lost the last fragnts of humanity.

He tried to think of Sekar. To hold onto that mory.

But at 98% void, he could barely rember why she mattered.

Just that she did.

Sohow.

The corruption rose again.

[CORRUPTION: 98% → 99%]

One percent human remaining.

One percent before total transformation.

Rama tried to force himself toward the sealed tear. To escape to Earth before 100% hit.

But his void nature stopped him.

Going to Earth at 99% would kill everyone.

Better to stay here. Transform completely. Beco just another void entity.

At least that way he wouldn’t hurt anyone.

The corruption ticked up for the final ti.

[CORRUPTION: 99% → 100%]

[PERMANENT TRANSFORMATION: INITIATED]

[HUMANITY: 0%]

[YOU ARE NOW: VOID ENTITY]

Rama scread as the last of his humanity burned away.

And in that final mont, with 0% humanity remaining, he rembered one last thing.

Sekar’s face.

"I’m sorry," he whispered with a voice that was no longer his. "I’m so sorry."

Then the transformation completed.

And Rama Kusuma ceased to exist.

Only void remained.
