Shattering Humanity Chapter 10: Invasion

10 min before dragon breaks from teor.

Katsu, wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants is watching the sunrise at the city gates. Snow still lightly falling. He snuck out and is waiting for his father to co back ho.

SHELLY (O.S): "Co back to bed they aren’t coming back today."

Shelly is walking towards him in a jacket, jeans, and snow boots.

KATSU: "Your father is out there too. Aren’t you worried about him?"

SHELLY: "How do you know he’s out there?"

KATSU: "Because he was sitting with my dad."

Shelly looks down and tries to fight back tears.

SHELLY: "Why would they do that to him?"

Katsu looks at her and gets worried. He walks up to her and holds her.

KATSU: "Ok. Let go h-"

Before he can finish the shriek is heard from a distance. Katsu turns around and Shelly looks up. Katsu starts to climb the wall he was sitting on.

SHELLY: "Katsu what are you doing!?!"

KATSU "Trying to get a better look. That’s the sa direction our dads went."

Shelly runs towards the wall and pulls him down. They both land on their backs.

KATSU: "Ouch. What the hell shell-"

She points up to the sky and the teors are shown falling from the sky. Katsu has almost the exact sa look of horror on his face as his father. Shelly grabs Katsu and they start running back towards the house. People who are awake from the shriek co out of their houses to be put in fear. Commotion and panic in streets as people start to realize trouble. Screaming, babies crying, things breaking can be heard. The teors start hitting buildings and debris start flying everywhere. People are hit with tal and so are shown crushed by the teors and building pieces. As the two kids run through back allies, Katsu sees what these teors really are. He stops and Shelly is yanked back.

SHELLY: "Katsu co on we have to get out of here!"

She looks over to what he’s looking at. A humanoid creature 30 feet tall, two arms and legs and with the features of ice/crystal the sa as the Dragon, starts to break free from the teor. The two teens watch as a woman half trapped under the teor is begging for their help.

WOMA: "Please...kids...help... please... I don’t want to...die."

KATSU: "We have to help her!

Shelly pulls him back and shakes her head. Katsu looks at her then looks back. He is in shock. The creature moves from it’s "egg" and picks the woman up, freeing her by tearing her away from her trapped legs. A few others watch in hiding and fear as the woman is put whole into the giant’s mouth and eaten. Katsu is still watching and looking up as Shelly pulls him away before he can throw up.
