When we arrived at the castle, I was surprised by the red carpet that was placed outside the castle.
The way that the red carpet was placed leading into the castle, it was as if it had been placed for the guests to walk on so that everyone would be able to look right at them.
In a way, it was similar to the special walkways that were placed at every special event in my past life.
The only thing that was really missing were the reporters that would be taking pictures.
With the way that the carriages parked, it even seed like all of the high elves were given the chance to enter on their own.
This was similar to sothing that I had seen in the human world before.
It was just like how humans announced themselves when they entered any events.
It seed that the elves had learned quite a bit from the humans about things like this.
At the sa ti, it seed the high elves prided themselves on who were first to enter the events.
In the human world, this would be arranged in terms of their status. The ones that had the higher status would naturally enter before the ones that had lower statuses.
But in this Elven Kingdom where the high elves should have been around the sa as each other, it wasn't as if there was much of a difference the order that they entered in.
Yet it was clear that they seed to care very much about this.
As for the order that I was arranged in, I wasn't in the front and I wasn't in the back, I was right in the center of the pack.
It was a position that wouldn't stand out at all.
If not for the fact that I was human, which made everyone turn to look at when it was announced that I had arrived.
I didn't say anything or look anywhere special as I walked down this red carpet, but it was clear that based on the way that the others were looking at that they had other thoughts.
If I had to guess, it was most likely because they had already heard about what the Elven King and I had discussed.
In that case, they would want a piece of the pie that I was offering them.
If not the Elven King, it was only natural that they would co looking for .
That was why I was giving no indication to anyone.
I didn't want anyone thinking that they could get ahead of the others.
I wanted them to all remain in this castle for as long as possible while everything happened outside.
Once I entered the castle, it was as if I had entered a completely different world.
The outside might still seem like the ho of the elves, a place that was still filled with nature to a certain extent. Especially since there was the large Tree of Life above this castle.
But the inside of the castle was completely different.
This was the scene of extre extravagance with the many different things that had been prepared.
At the sa ti, it also explained sothing that I noticed on my way to the castle.
There were many elves that had gone missing from the capital and there was an increase in elves in the castle. It was clear that they had been scooped up off the streets and made to work at this feast.
It was surprising that there were this many elves that were willing, but thinking about the alternative…
Instead of being labelled as a traitor, perhaps it was better to work this one night.
I didn't get long to look around as the Elven King suddenly ca out of nowhere.
With how quickly he appeared, it was almost as if he had been waiting for to co into the castle the entire ti.
Once he ca over, the first thing that the Elven King did was take by the shoulder. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and then brought over to introduce to several high elves.
Based on the way that he introduced , it was clear that there was a close relationship between him and these high elves. At the sa ti, it was clear that these high elves were very enthusiastic about eting .
Though their reason for being enthusiastic about eting was for ulterior motives.
They honestly didn't even hide what they were after at all.
"I've heard that the Kite Kingdom has a close relationship with the wyverns, but I've never seen how you ta your wyverns. When you have ti, your majesty must give us a demonstration."
I just made so small promises without actually giving any solid promises.
The offer that I made to the Elven King was to provide so wyverns to the Elven Kingdom, but it seed that the high elves all had their own ideas. They didn't seem to want these wyverns just for their power, it seed that they wanted these wyverns just for the sake of showing off.
They wanted the wyverns because they wanted to be the ones that had them.
The greed that they had been corrupted with truly ran deep.
It seed that there was nothing that could bring them back on the right path.
After introducing to these high elves, the Elven King took to a private room.
Sitting in this room were so familiar faces and so unfamiliar faces.
However, the fact that they were sitting in this room made it clear that they had special identities. Or at least based on the information that I had about the ones that I recognized, I knew that they had special identities.
The rest was just a guess.
The Elven King didn't mind any of this as he sat down before looking at to say, "So, your majesty, how many wyverns were you planning to give to our Elven Kingdom?"
