"Boom!"

This wasn’t the sound of the big strange creatures being hit by the spears and being blown apart.

Rather, this was the sound of a wall of corruption energy suddenly appearing and taking the hits for the big strange creatures. Though the wall of corruption energy took these hits from the spears filled with divine energy, it didn’t seem like it was able to break through.

Though one had more of an effect on the wall of corruption energy than the other one did.

But in the end, neither of them were able to penetrate that wall.

In the end, the wall even bounced back the two spears that ca at it.

As soon as Moon and I saw this, we imdiately created more attacks to send around this wall.

While we had no idea where this wall ca from, that didn’t matter right now since it ant that there was soone powerful interfering.

As such, we should take down the big strange creatures as soon as possible.

This ti, we used a different tactic.

Instead of attacking, Moon used vines to try and restrict the big strange creatures.

At the sa ti, I also switched from the button to the Staff of Earth to create walls of divine energy earth in an attempt to trap the big strange creatures.

Since the walls were just going to block our attacks, there was no point in trying to attack anymore. Restraining the big strange creatures was more than enough for now.

After restraining them, we would be able to take care of the smaller things first.

Then once that was taken care of, we could take care of them together.

But it didn’t seem like the person who created the walls of corruption energy were planning on letting that happen.

The walls of corruption energy suddenly broke apart and turned into blades of corruption energy. But these weren’t just any normal blades, rather they were saw blades that spun as they flew through the air.

These saw blades of corruption energy were flying right for the vines and earth walls that Moon and I had created.

It seed that whoever created them was planning to do all that they could to protect the big strange creatures.

At the sa ti, the big strange creatures seed to recognize that they were free to make their move. However, instead of attacking us who was attacking them, they turned around to face the barrier again and raised their hands as if they were planning to attack it.

The only reason that they would do sothing like this was if there was soone controlling them.

The saw blades and the actions of the big strange creatures, it was clear that there was a mastermind controlling all of this.

Only why would they be so determined to take care of the gnos that were inside of the cave.

Did the gnos inside of the cave do sothing to whoever was controlling the corruption energy?

Or were they related to them in so way?

Well that didn’t really matter right now.

The only thing that actually mattered was taking care of the corruption energy and the big strange creatures.

So in the end, I decided to go all out.

I drew on the divine energy that was inside of and suddenly caused the earth walls to beco spikes. These earth spikes stabbed right at the corruption energy saw blades that were coming at them.

However, they went at a strange angle.

They weren’t aid right at the corruption energy saw blades, but rather they were aid at the side.

That was because they were aiming for a certain part of the corruption energy saw blade.

It stabbed right through the center of the saw blade and created a hole. Once the earth spike pierced through the saw blade, the saw blades suddenly ca to a stop.

It seed like it wanted to move forward, but the earth spikes were too strong for the saw blades to break. That was why no matter how hard the saw blades pushed, they just couldn’t break the earth spikes that appeared.

There were other saw blades that also ca at the earth spikes, but they were pierced just like the others.

I made sure to stab all of the saw blades that ca so that there wouldn’t be a single one that could escape.

I wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss a single one of them since they could cause trouble for the others.

Once the person who was controlling the saw blades recognized that it would be no use to keep trying to send the saw blades, they suddenly stopped.

I had my guard up as I waited to see what their next move was, but...

"Why are you getting in my way? I don’t even know you, so why are you doing this?"

"Huh?"

I wasn’t the only one that was confused to hear this.

The others were also confused as they could hear the genuine confusion that was in this voice as it spoke. It was clear that the owner of this voice really had no idea what was happening.

But if they could control the corruption energy, then they should be soone from the side of the God of Destruction.

In that case, they should be able to recognize the divine energy that was being used to counter the corruption energy. If they recognized the divine energy, then there was no reason why they would be confused as to why we were doing this.

"Just who are you?"

"Who am I? I’m the one asking who you are to get in my way like this!"

As soon as this voice fell, there was a large fist that suddenly ca in my direction.

I didn’t panic as I watched the fist coming down.

With the speed that it was going, it was easy for Joan to dodge out of the way.

What I was paying attention to was this figure that was on the shoulder of the big strange creature.
