When the God of Night ran away, it wasn’t as if there was anything that I could do to stop them.
So in the end, the only thing that I could do was...
"Is there anything that you can do?"
It was different for the Fenrir since I was desperate for more people at the ti, but now...it wasn’t as if I was as desperate as I was in the past. Even if we didn’t have this ssenger by our side, it wasn’t as if we would lose anything from this.
So I waited to see what Zeldir would answer.
The look on Zeldir’s face showed that it was completely caught off guard when I asked this question.
It thought that it would be accepted for just being a ssenger of the gods, so it never expected to suddenly be asked a question like this.
Zeldir took a mont to co back to his senses before saying, "I...I can breathe fire."
Honestly, it was like a kid that was trying to say what it was good at.
That was just how caught off guard Zeldir was by all of this, but it wasn’t as if this could be blad on it.
Zeldir was one of the ssengers of the gods, it was soone that had been respected by those that it t for a long ti. It wasn’t as if it had ever been questioned by anyone like this before.
Not to ntion that since it was a ssenger of the gods, it wasn’t as if there was anyone that dared to speak to them like this.
But since it was , Zeldir had no choice but to answer in this manner.
To the side, I could see that there was a faint smile on the Fenrir’s face.
It seed like she was happy to see Zeldir struggle like this.
But I didn’t make it hard on Zeldir as I said, "Alright, that’s not a problem since you’re a ssenger of the gods in the first place. As long as you can use the divine energy that’s bestowed upon you, I’m sure that you’ll help us with our fight against the forces of Destruction."
Zeldir seed to relax when it heard this while the Fenrir looked like she was unhappy.
I just ignored them before asking, "What about the others that follow you? Will they be alright if you leave them?"
Zeldir seed like it was back in its elent as it said, "Not a problem. I’ve already made preparations long before this, so they’re more than ready to take over for ."
"So you’ve prepared for a long ti, as if you already knew about this?" I asked in a tentative voice, but this ti it didn’t seem like Zeldir was panicking anymore. This ti, it seed like Zeldir had already co back to its senses and was ready for anything that I asked.
I didn’t say anything else when I saw Zeldir look at with a smile.
I hadn’t expected anything when I asked this and I knew that there was no point dwelling on this matter.
So instead, I asked, "What are you anyway?"
Zeldir couldn’t help being taken aback when I asked this.
"Pu..." The Fenrir looked like she had been caught off guard hearing this, but then she suddenly started laughing as if she found this very funny.
Even when Zeldir glared at the Fenrir, it didn’t seem like she was about to stop.
In fact, it seed like she was laughing even more because of the way that Zeldir was glaring at her.
There was clearly so kind of past between the two of them.
After it finished glaring at the Fenrir, Zeldir raised its head and said, "I am a proud and noble black dragon."
"Dragon? You’re a dragon?" I couldn’t help asking in a surprised voice.
When Zeldir heard this, it couldn’t help glaring at this ti.
I knew that I had made a mistake, so I saId, "I see it, I totally see it. I can see the scales on your body and your noble figure, you’re clearly a dragon."
Though this praise was a bit weak, Zeldir seed to accept it in the end.
It even raised its head as if it was happy to receive this praise before looking over at the Fenrir as if it was bragging about this.
The Fenrir naturally narrowed her eyes to look at Zeldir when this happened.
It really seed like there would be a need to separate the two of them in the future so that they wouldn’t fight all the ti.
The two of them really were like cat and dog, but it was more dragon and wolf in this case.
But thinking about it, dragons were a legendary beast race just like the fenrir, so it only made sense that a dragon would be the ssenger of a god.
Then again, I really had never heard of black dragons before when this world was still a ga. There were tales of other dragons such as red dragons or gold dragons which were far more famous.
It was rare to hear the tale of a black dragon unless it was about an evil dragon.
The one other thing that I had to ask was, "Are you a male or a female?"
Zeldir was once again caught off guard when it heard this before raising its head to say, "I’m a proud king of the black dragons, how could you not see that?"
It really was hard to imagine Zeldir as a king when it was this small, but it must be true since it led the other lizards. At the sa ti, that told that the rest of the lizards were also black dragons.
It seed like there was an entire colony of black dragons that were living in this place, taking care of this village filled with Lost Ones.
One really had to think about how this kind of relationship even started between them.
