That’s right, with sothing this serious happening in the most important hospital under your group, of course, you’ll keep a constant watch.

It’s likely that as soon as the report ca out, the hospital’s higher-ups imdiately initiated response asures.

Gu Ji didn’t choose to leave directly; instead, he waited in the car by the roadside.

After about fifteen minutes, Jiang Chengxun changed his clothes and erged from the main entrance. Not long after he drove out of the parking lot, a white Hyundai followed him.

It seems, just like last week’s surveillance, Jiang Chengxun has been targeted.

Gu Ji started his vehicle and followed them as well.

Once they left the city center, seeing that the traffic around them had diminished, the white Hyundai suddenly accelerated, charged in front of Jiang Chengxun’s car, and slamd on the brakes, forcing him to a stop.

Just as Jiang Chengxun lowered his car window to shout.

The door of the white Hyundai opened, and four unruly thugs ca out. The lead thug, with a buzz cut dyed yellow, small eyes, brown skin, and a tattoo on his neck, was none other than Cui Ridou who had threatened Gu Ji last week.

"Are you guys crazy? Don’t you know stopping like this is extrely dangerous!"

"Heh heh heh, Mr. Jiang, isn’t it? Let introduce myself..."

Cui Ridou placed a heavy hand on the driver’s side door and began his familiar opening line, "We’ve figured out the location of your hotown, and there’s a bedridden old mother there, right? If you don’t want trouble, don’t ddle in this matter, understand?"

"You... you dare to ss with my family! I’m going to call the police right now!"

At the ntion of his mother, Jiang Chengxun panicked instantly.

But before he could reach for his phone, Cui Ridou grabbed his collar, "Arshi-ba*! Didn’t you understand what I just said, you damn fool?"

"Let him go."

A sudden voice interrupted Cui Ridou’s raised fist.

Everyone turned towards the sound and saw a tall, handso man in a black suit approaching, holding a phone, recording.

"Hey! Where did this idiot co from! If you don’t want a beating, get lost imdiately!"

One of the thugs aggressively blocked Gu Ji and reached out to grab the phone.

Gu Ji’s eyelids drooped, his pupils showing a fierce glint, and with a twist of his body and a flick of his arm, he threw a punch that hit with a sharp, cracking sound.

The thug was knocked heavily to the ground with one punch.

"Shengzhe!"

"Damn it! Are you looking for death?"

The thugs’ faces twisted with anger, and one of them pulled out a switchblade from his waist.

Cui Ridou, having seen quite a bit, realized Gu Ji was no ordinary person, "Who sent you? West City Qingshan Gang?"

Gu Ji’s eyes showed no emotion, and he calmly continued recording, "You have one minute left. I already called the police on the way here."

"Kid, you’ve got guts! Let’s go!"

Cui Ridou glared fiercely at Gu Ji after seeing the flashing red and blue patrol lights in the distance, then quickly got back into the car and left.

Leaving Jiang Chengxun with a face full of shock.

"Mr. Jin? Have you been following the whole ti?"

"Yes."

Gu Ji got straight to the point, "The attitude of the person in charge at the testing center was suspicious. I suspected sothing might happen, and it did. Their fear of reporting the issue, does it an the situation is far worse than we thought?"

"Given the crowding in the Shansang ER that afternoon, it’s likely the infection has already started to spread."

"If that’s the case, we need to report to the Disease Managent Headquarters imdiately."

Jiang Chengxun knew Gu Ji’s suggestion was right.

But he was still a bit hesitant.

"But I’m just a researcher; skipping levels to report is not permitted."

"Don’t worry, I’ve got your back. I’ve already dispatched police to protect your hotown. As long as you help solve this case, I guarantee your promotion in the CDC!"

Gu Ji wasn’t just making empty promises.

If he handled the RS incident well, Jiang Chengxun’s promotion was certain.

"Okay, I agree!"

...

The next day, Jiang Chengxun didn’t even go to work but instead followed Gu Ji to the Disease Managent Headquarters.

They submitted the test report, and although it wasn’t according to protocol, it caught the headquarters’ attention, prompting them to send soone to Shansang Hospital to conduct another sample test.

Sure enough.

After they realized it wasn’t an anthrax attack, Shansang Hospital lifted the lockdown on the ER by evening and even moved the old man with white hair to a regular ICU ward.

Gu Ji knew well the ans of Shansang.

He simultaneously contacted Jiang Youzhen from AM dical and journalist Lin Renna.

In the second cycle, Gu Ji was very well-prepared, with loads of photos and report data serving as irrefutable evidence.

Once Lin Renna posted on a little blue bird, it imdiately caused a sensation on the internet.

Although it was later removed under Shansang’s privacy violation claim, it successfully pressured the Disease Managent Headquarters to release a RS patient confirmation announcent on the morning of the 20th, a full day earlier than the first cycle.

Ti is the most precious asset when dealing with serious infectious diseases.

Announcing earlier allows the public to take precautions, reducing the number of close contacts and potential infections.

AM Hospital’s administrative building conference room.

A group of doctors and experts with lab coats and masks sat around an oval conference table.

Gu Ji, in a dark gray suit with a mask, sat to the left of the head seat.

Four days had passed since the first appearance of RS. Thanks to the second cycle of his full effort, the Disease Managent Headquarters had officially confird three infected patients, and the infected regions were Seoul Special City and Gyeonggi Province.

Sitting at the head of the table was a young woman in a white blouse and black pencil skirt, with her black hair tied elegantly at the back, exuding an air of nobility; she was none other than AM dical’s director, Jiang Youzhen.

"Mr. Jin, you said there’s a way for us at AM dical to surpass Shansang?"

"That’s right, as long as you can perform well in this public health crisis, you will naturally attract public acclaim and governnt recognition."

"Then, what does Mr. Jin want us to do?"

Faced with Jiang Youzhen’s inquiry.

Gu Ji took out a docunt and pushed it in front of her: "Imdiately establish a RS investigation team and swiftly activate response asures!"
