Point-of-View: Vaszel Vos Kealfaos
———————————————————————————
Hm...it looks like the humans have eliminated a number of Calamity Level Dungeons. The ones they refer to as X-Aces, they are more capable than I realized.
It seems many of them have grown more powerful than I had previously assessed. Hm, it appears that Kaivel Intrix is far from the only genuine threat among the human forces...but ultimately, it doesn’t matter, their efforts will be futile in the end.
What a sha that I have already used up all my Skill Slots, so of them possess abilities that are quite enticing, especially the one with the ability to steal the powers of Monsters.
But like Kaivel Intrix, as well as myself, her powers stem from a System, so it is possible that I wouldn’t be able to use Larceny on any of her abilities either.
When Kaivel Intrix escaped from my imprisonnt of him, I had three Empty Skill Slots left. I used the first to acquire the Anti-Teleportation Demonic Art from one of the Archdemons, and a Demonic Art called Thought Communication from a Greater Demon.
With that, I can give instructions to all the Monsters under my command, if and when necessary. It is useful and practical, but I wish I had the capacity to acquire another ability suitable for combat.
As for the last remaining vacant Skill Slot, I sacrificed it to Dinsion Breaker, in order to maximize the durability of this final wave of Dungeons.
It has now been three days since I used Dinsion Breaker for the last ti. There are four days left before the rest of the Dungeons disappear and the Monsters within erge, but thirty days before the Sentinels and I can leave the Final Dungeon.
While the humans do have a number of powerful individuals, there simply aren’t enough of them. They can struggle and fight all they want, but all we need to do is overwhelm them with sheer number.
There are over two hundred Archdemons, Dragons and King Ants, and only the X-Aces are powerful enough to stand on even or greater footing than those creatures.
And of the X-Aces, only three or four of them are even remotely comparable to the Sentinels. Even the strongest among them are less powerful than the weakest of the Sentinels. That said, considering that three of the Sentinels were killed, these humans are capable of defeating them. Not that that’ll be enough to win this war.
All signs point to my victory being assured, it is only a matter of ti before my forces completely overwhelm the humans.
"Lord Vaszel, so of the Sentinels are getting very impatient," Suddenly ca Spektar’s voice, as he phased through the floor and appeared before .
"Good. Their frustration should drive them to fight with greater aggression and intensity when the humans finally make their move. We shall slaughter them all, without rcy," I declared venomously.
"May I ask, how did you develop such a deep hatred of humans, my Lord? From what I’ve seen, most of us Demonic species feel a sense of disdain towards humans. But with you, it’s different, you harbor imnse hatred towards them."
"Hm...now that you ntion it, I have not actually spoken with anyone regarding my past. Well, I suppose I do not mind. To begin with, I was once human myself, I lived in this world. I then died and was reincarnated in the other world as a Demon," I inford him.
"Huh? You were human?"
He appears conflicted, I suppose that is an understandable reaction.
"As much as it disgusts to admit, yes, I was. It was but for a re fifteen years, and it has been over five centuries since my reincarnation."
"I see...less than five percent of your existence was spent as a human, a re blip. Does that an you developed your hatred of humans after becoming a Demon?"
"No, quite the contrary. You’re right, fifteen years is nothing compared to five hundred, my mories of my ti as a human have grown rather hazy as of late. I know what I experienced, but the actual mories of those experiences have mostly faded. Those experiences are what fuelled my hatred for this vile species," I uttered maliciously.
"May I ask what exactly those experiences were?"
"Hm...very well. As I said, my mories have faded, so the specifics are rather vague. While I reincarnated in the other world over five centuries ago, I believe only around three and a half centuries have passed in this world since my life as a human ca to an end. Yes, I lived in the early-nineteenth century, if I’m not mistaken."
"Does that an the flow of ti between the two worlds is not the sa?"
"I believe it wasn’t before, but once the boundary between the worlds began to weaken, the flow of ti across both worlds evened and synchronized with each other. At least, that is what I’ve hypothesized," I replied uncertainly.
"Fascinating. But I suppose it does not really matter anymore, seeing as how we cannot return to our original world anymore. Well, I suppose it isn’t your original world, that would be this one," He mused thoughtfully.
"Yes...I hate this world, but I imagine that will change once we’ve exterminated the humans. This world is far larger than ours, I believe we can thrive here."
"What exactly do you plan do to after we kill all the humans?"
"Hm...I do not know. Everything I’ve done has been for the purpose of wiping out the humans of this world, so once I accomplish that goal...I do not know if I have anything else I want to do. Perhaps simply living a life of lavish luxury would be the best option," I responded uncertainly.
"So, about your experiences as a human..."
"Yes, I suppose we got a bit off-topic. I believe I was born to a poor family, I have vague mories of a farm. I...I think I was fond of goats," I recalled uncertainly, feeling a strange pang in my chest as the hazy mories went through my mind...
