A general dressed in blue and white armor was leading nearly 2,000 soldiers through the woodland.

Their movent was neither too fast nor too slow, yet the pace was consistently maintained.

From afar, this general saw nearly 2,000 soldiers in blue and white armor in the distance.

Leading them was a general wearing the sa armor as him.

"Calist, I didn’t expect you to be the first one to arrive."

This general brought his soldiers together with the waiting soldier unit in front.

"Poke, you’re here."

"Hmm, looks like I’m the second one to arrive."

"No, you’re the third. Soone already took their team ahead for reconnaissance."

"Really? Quite proactive."

After exchanging so small talk, the two stood silently side by side, their eyes constantly gazing into the distance.

Poke suddenly said, "Those few are really useless. Out of the blue, they let the Red faction resurrect themselves, and they even lost the fortress."

"Who wouldn’t say so? It’s really baffling how the remnants of Horn’s troops, just a few hundred, could fail even under these circumstances."

The conversation led them to chat once again.

Soon after, two more generals in blue and white armor arrived with their respective soldiers to join them.

Hence, all five generals and their soldiers assembled to attack the fortress.

Then the four of them banded together to head towards the fortress, while one general had already moved ahead to scout the road for possible ambushes.

Near dusk, they saw their comrades standing 2 kiloters from the fortress.

Kane, with Eagle Eye, had already spotted those five generals in blue and white armor several kiloters away with over 10,000 soldiers behind them.

Among these more than 10,000 soldiers, there were over 3,000 soldiers with Silver-level strength.

That’s truly lavish.

anwhile, beside him, Horn had long begun commanding the soldiers on the city wall to prepare for defense.

Watching the soldiers around move into action, Kane also began to move.

Magic Power surged through his body, pouring into the ground from his feet.

A black square platform on the ground slowly rose.

As it rose, chanical structures constantly built atop the platform, extending and interlocking.

In no ti, a rotary cannon barrel over two ters long was constructed, resembling a cannon yet with 16 small holes on inspection.

Below the barrel was an ammunition port, and a trigger connected to a seat behind the carriage.

Beneath the entire cannon carriage and seat was a movable platform capable of 360-degree rotation and 40-degree vertical movent.

Although Kane constructed this weapon, intending to sit on it to personally operate for defense,

he didn’t plan to use it imdiately.

In its Skill Grid sat a brand new Skill Stone, never used before.

This imminent blue faction assault presented an opportune mont to use the Skill.

And this Skill Stone was the God of All Machines - Right Index Finger, that Kane drew yesterday. He was truly curious, with such a prestigious skill, about the resulting effect when used to attack.

Finally, the blue faction’s offensive forces seed prepared and started to move toward Kane’s fortress.

However, they didn’t advance too close, stopping within a kiloter range.

Clearly visible behind them, their soldiers carried nurous engineering equipnt and were installing on site.

One after another, catapults and so pieces whose function Kane couldn’t quite discern were set up.

At this ti, one of the five generals rode a warhorse to the vicinity of the fortress and shouted loudly at Horn above.

"Horn, I’m surprised you managed to resurrect with just those few soldiers."

Horn replied from the wall, "Calist, take your friends and leave. You should know this fortress isn’t easy to conquer."

However, Horn’s words didn’t seem to garner any goodwill.

Poke walked up from behind Calist and loudly sneered, "Horn, stop pretending. Even when you hadn’t completely failed last ti, this fortress could be taken down by us. How long can you hold out in your current state?"

The general’s words seed to hit a sore spot for Horn very precisely.

Kane, standing not far away, clearly saw Horn’s expression visibly collapse.

Oh, it seems this is a past not to be ntioned, Kane thought.

"Since you think you can take down the fortress again, then co and try it."

After speaking, Horn no longer responded.

The two generals below seed to have had enough verbal fun and rode back to their respective troops.

anwhile, the catapults at the rear were successfully installed.

But Kane wasn’t kind enough to actually let them hurl the stones over.

Sitting directly on the newly constructed weapon, the 16-barrel rotary gun fused into a single black barrel.

The crosshair appeared again in the field of view, aiming one by one at the freshly installed catapults.

Including those unknown engineering devices beside the catapults, all were lined within Kane’s crosshair.

Kane was waiting for them to finish installing the equipnt so he could destroy them all at once.

Controlling the cannon in hand, he pulled the trigger.

"Bang!"

A cannonball was sent out.

It hit one of the catapults being loaded, and the explosion sounded, directly blowing the catapult apart.

However, the power of the cannonball was not very strong. The catapult was destroyed, but it was not blown to pieces, just disassembled.

If the craftsn were to repair it, it could still be used, though the repair would take ti.

Kane repeated the sa old trick, destroying most of the engineering devices, while deliberately leaving so.

This way, it could give those attacking a glimr of hope.

Otherwise, if they suddenly decided to retreat and reorganize because all the engineering devices were destroyed, wouldn’t Kreya and her camp, currently under attack, be in danger?

Then Kane’s prepared plan would fall through.

The soldiers and generals, though exasperated, did not order a retreat but instead instructed the craftsn to begin repairs on the large machines.

Among the intact engineering equipnt, there were still two catapults.

As the catapults operated, two stones were hurled over, but they were destroyed mid-air by Kane’s cannonball, turning into debris falling down.

This scene still didn’t deter them; they continued to hurl stone after stone.

But Kane precisely shot them down every ti.

Eventually, Kane even got tired of manually controlling it, and just stood by the city wall, marking each incoming stone so the cannonballs would automatically hit them, sparing him the trouble of aiming one by one.

Finally, they realized that trying to use stones to collapse the city wall seed impossible.

They gave up on continuing the siege and began chopping down trees nearby, seemingly to create so simpler engineering equipnt.

A siege engine was also pushed out, with a wooden shield on top to block the rain of arrows from above. The people inside would push the siege engine to the city gates,

Then, with combined strength, swung the battering ram to smash open the city gates.

The felled trees were quickly tied together with simple branches, forming cloud ladders.

This would facilitate their soldiers’ scaling of the city walls.

A combined effort would be needed to take the fortress.

However, it would take at least until the next morning to prepare all these.

Throughout the night, Kane and his group remained vigilant, while the blue faction of attackers built a makeshift camp, letting the soldiers rest and craftsn and soldiers take turns building these engineering devices.

By the ti morning ca, and the sky was still dim.

The enemy launched their attack.

"Alert, alert, the enemy is attacking!"

The sound of horns and various shouts echoed on the walls as all the soldiers got into position, operating crossbows and bows and arrows, attacking the soldiers charging at them from below.

Many close combat soldiers raised their shields to ward off the rain of arrows from above, protecting the siege vehicles as they quickly ran towards the city gate with collective strength.

Cloud ladders began approaching the city walls.

Behind the cloud ladders, many archers, under the cover of wooden shields, started stealthily shooting arrows at the city walls.

Kane did not launch an attack; he was waiting for the soldiers to reach a certain range in front of him.

His new skill wasn’t of unlimited range but had a certain scope, determined by his strength. At present, he could strike within 500 ters.

Finally, the siege vehicles and surrounding soldiers entered Kane’s attack range.

Without hesitation, he activated his skill.

Magic power surged wildly within his body.

These magic powers gathered above the siege engine, opening a pitch-black teleportation gate.

From the teleportation gate, a massive column-shaped object plumted down.

On closer inspection, the column-like object appeared to resemble an index finger.

But unless one knew, no one would make such a connection.

The entire column was made of intricate tal and chanical structures, clearly visible with golden gears spinning and glowing.

The surface reflected various tallic sheens.

From a distance, the column seed to exert a life-threatening pressure.

The column swiftly fell, crashing into the siege vehicle.

It was indeed a part of a god’s limb; even a simple fall wrought significant destruction.

The siege vehicle and surrounding soldiers were utterly reduced to ashes.

The ground bore not a single trace of the attack.

The column fell, and enemies within a certain range instantly perished into ash.

The whole process flowed naturally, without even a thunderous sound.

When the column vanished, everyone present remained oblivious.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Explosions echoed, jolting everyone back to reality.

Kane was already controlling the weapon, sending cannonballs crashing into the cloud ladders, blasting them to fragnts, while the soldiers atop wailed as they fell to the ground.

With the explosion sounds rising, the battle began anew.

Soon after, cries of retreat arose from the blue faction’s ranks.

With the shout, all attacking soldiers receded like a tide, not forgetting to drag their wounded comrades along before leaving.

They retreated to a camp a kiloter away, seemingly preparing to reconsider their next move.
