Caden Lockwood and Julian Keaton entered the restaurant with Sean Ashton, and the owner greeted them enthusiastically, leading them to an empty table.
Caden Lockwood stood still, exuding an aloof and cold deanor, with a kingly aura that made people naturally drawn to him.
Sean Ashton understood Caden Lockwood’s intentions and said to the restaurant owner, "Our boss has decided to buy your place right now; hurry up and clear out, let everyone find another place to eat!"
"Buy it?" The owner jumped in surprise, "How co I didn’t know..."
"Five million." Sean directly offered, "Give your account number, we’ll pay cash."
"Oh my God!" The owner was so shocked his face paled, "Who on earth are you people?"
Sean Ashton stared into the owner’s eyes and asked, "Do you want to sell or not?"
Having been around Caden Lockwood for so long, Sean Ashton’s aura was also intimidating, "Calculating the value of this place, it’s probably just a few hundred thousand; now you can make five tis that, and with this money, you can open a new place. The shop next door is up for sale, you can buy it, and your clientele will remain the sa."
"Sell! I’ll sell it!" The owner agreed imdiately.
How could such a good thing happen so suddenly?
He almost couldn’t believe it.
Sean went off to negotiate with the owner, having already received a deposit of a million, the owner had no worries that Sean was a scamr, and instructed the chefs and staff to clear the restaurant as it was already sold.
Evelyn Morgan and Logan Shaw were sitting at the table, chatting while waiting for Cecilia Lynch, when they suddenly heard the owner had sothing urgent, and the restaurant was closing, asking everyone to leave. The custors were bewildered, and so even started cursing.
"Let’s go." Logan still had a calm expression, "We can go to another place, there are many good restaurants nearby."
"Okay." Evelyn responded.
As she got up, she smiled, "You’ve only been back in the country for a short while and you know so many good places to eat; I was born and raised here, and when it cos to good food, I only know about the places near the school."
"Are you indirectly calling a foodie?" Logan joked, "Evelyn, your teasing skills are getting sharper!"
Evelyn was about to explain she wasn’t teasing him, when her eyes caught sight of Caden Lockwood standing at the entrance.
He was still in his black suit, exuding the sa proud aura between his brows that she was familiar with.
Her eyes lit up and her expression suddenly ca alive: "Uncle! What are you doing here!"
Caden Lockwood’s dark eyes softened slightly when he saw Evelyn so excited.
But the thought of Evelyn and Logan having dinner together, chatting so well and laughing so brightly, made Caden Lockwood snort coldly, a cruel smile curling his lips.
Julian Keaton looked at Evelyn, then at Caden Lockwood, took a few steps back, crossed his arms, and stood to the side, ready to watch the show.
Seeing Logan next to Evelyn, Caden Lockwood’s eyes were like icy pillars, freezing everything they touched.
Seeing Caden Lockwood’s superior attitude, with his dark eyes not acknowledging her presence at all, Evelyn’s smile slowly beca stiff.
Is he treating her like a stranger?
Right!
He must still be mad at her!
No!
He’s probably with Shannon Dunn and has completely forgotten he has a nominal wife.
Feeling deeply disappointed, Evelyn wanted to say sothing to Caden Lockwood, but the words wouldn’t co together in her mouth.
Suddenly eting him here, she didn’t even know whether she should say hello.
Caden Lockwood glanced at Evelyn, and a very faint curve appeared on his lips, coldly saying, "Sean, is everything not settled yet?"
"All settled!" Sean replied, "Boss, your girlfriend loves the fish here so much that you bought the place for her; truly it’s... you’re such a thoughtful man! What an exceptional man you are in the world!"
