Caden Lockwood stood in Kiki’s room, lowered his eyes, looked at Kiki, shrugged, and smiled helplessly: "Rejected again."
Kiki snuggled up to Caden, rubbing her head against his leg, as if comforting him.
Caden squatted down, patted Kiki’s head gently, and said softly: "Put in a good word for with your owner. Tell her to stop treating this way. It’s only Evelyn Morgan who dares to treat , Caden Lockwood, like this!"
After speaking, Caden sighed heavily and returned to the bedroom.
Seeing Evelyn Morgan completely hiding under the covers, a hint of displeased gloom flickered in Caden’s eyes.
He turned down the air conditioning temperature, lay next to her, pulled over the covers, and went to sleep.
Evelyn lay at the edge of the bed, far from Caden, as if avoiding a plague.
With a wave of his large hand, Caden grabbed Evelyn back, feeling suffocated, a heaviness in his chest, uncomfortable just imagining it.
"Didn’t you deceive from the beginning? You even tricked into believing that I..."
At this point, Evelyn lost the courage to continue speaking, filled with resentnt towards Caden.
Willingly!
Caden’s hands clenched into fists.
He’s almost at his breaking point for Evelyn’s word "willingly."
"Oh, and, Uncle, can I not go to the company tomorrow? Can you give a day to think it over? Is that okay?" Evelyn asked quietly.
She always felt that the more ti she spent with Caden, the easier it was to fall into the place she constantly reminded herself not to.
What to do?
She’s increasingly anxious!
"Okay." Caden gave a terse reply, turned off the light, and closed his eyes to sleep.
Evelyn was rendered speechless.
She clearly sensed that Caden was angry.
And, it was anger directed purely at her.
She never wanted to give herself to him, he must be very frustrated!
With a man like him, isn’t any woman within his reach?
She should be grateful that he is willing to spend so much ti on her.
But she kept rejecting him, of course, he’s unhappy.
