Normally, a second son had significance as insurance in case anything happened to the eldest son, and while it may sound wrong, he was a replacent child. Even if that hadn’t been the case, I’ve heard that second sons should have started a branch family.
I wonder if it was an oddball that moved to the Sanctuary. I did think that, but he really was a strange one.

As soon as he started eyeing her voraciously from the long rabbit ears on her head to the tip of her toes, he quickly moved in front of her and reached out to grab Marnie’s hands.
