Chapter 109. The Super-Tier Spell, and Silver Oakleaf's Domain-Level Powerhouses Arrive

With the arrival of the Kroll royal family's Legendary Combatants, a fierce battle erupted high in the sky against Silver Oakleaf's legends. The collision of Dou Qi and magic tore through the clouds, and the blazing light was so intense that it hurt to look at.

Since no one was able to interrupt the Gold Mages' chanting, the elents between heaven and earth soon fell abruptly still, and the air itself seed to solidify.

Then several enormous magic arrays appeared in the sky, each spanning several miles. As their runic patterns flowed, countless smaller magic arrays nested within them began operating in tandem, like finely crafted gears shing together, radiating a pressure that made the heart tremble.

“What is that?” soone on Bluestone Pass shouted, pointing at the sky with a trembling voice.

Before anyone could answer, the chanting suddenly rose to its peak. A black fissure split open at the center of the massive magic arrays.

One burning teor after another tore through the clouds, trailing deafening shrieks through the air as they rained down upon Silver Oakleaf's formations like a storm.

BOOM—

The first teor struck the ground and instantly blasted an entire formation to pieces. The shockwave hurled dust and severed limbs into the sky, and the screams were cut off almost at once.

Then ca the second, the third...

The dense barrage of teors fell like a natural catastrophe. Silver Oakleaf's formations were ripped open again and again, and the soldiers were turned to charred corpses amid fire and shockwaves. Their entire battle line collapsed.

“Run!”

No one knew who shouted it first, but Silver Oakleaf's noble legions were the first to break. The soldiers threw down their weapons and fled in madness, only to discover that they could not outrun the teors falling from the sky.

Flas devoured the plain, smoke and dust blotted out the heavens, and the entire battlefield beca a living hell.

On Bluestone Pass, an old prince with white hair and beard stared at the unending rain of teors, his lips trembling as he forced out four disbelieving words.

“A... a Super-Tier Spell?”

The nobles around him had all gone deathly pale, yet not one of them answered.

A Super-Tier Spell was sothing only a Legendary Archmage should have been capable of wielding. How could they possibly have cast one?

High above, even Silver Oakleaf's legends were shaken by the horrific carnage below, and their offensive faltered at once.

The Kroll legends seized the opportunity. Their Dou Qi erupted, and they instantly suppressed their opponents.

“Retreat! Retreat at once!”

Odyssey V finally snapped out of his shock and roared himself hoarse.

“Order the remaining legions to withdraw into the pass!”

But it was already too late.

The teor shower was still continuing, and the Gold Legion launched its charge amid the chaos. Like a golden flood breaking through a collapsed dam, it trampled over the corpses of Silver Oakleaf's soldiers and advanced toward Bluestone Pass.

Riding on Darwin's back, William looked coldly upon the inferno below.

The cost of a Super-Tier Spell was enormous, but when it was divided among a thousand people, that price beca almost negligible.

The rain of teors gradually ca to an end, and the magic arrays in the sky slowly faded away, but the devastation they left behind had already carved itself into the bone.

Silver Oakleaf's legions had suffered catastrophic losses. The surviving soldiers surged toward Bluestone Pass in blind panic, only to clog the gates in their desperation and be cut down in droves by the pursuing Gold Legion.

On the walls of Bluestone Pass, Odyssey V watched the advancing golden torrent and the field below littered with corpses. At last, he collapsed weakly against the battlents, his eyes filled with despair.

He had lost—utterly and completely.

The deathly silence atop the walls was broken by the urgent tugging of a prince. He clutched at the shattered Odyssey V, his voice already thick with tears.

“Your Majesty, quickly—quickly ask Ancestor to step in and diate. If this drags on any longer, all our soldiers will be finished.”

Odyssey V shuddered all over, as though waking from a nightmare, and a glimr of desperate hope flashed through his eyes.

“Yes... yes, Ancestor.”

He hurriedly pulled out an ancient Communication Crystal from his robes. The surface of the crystal was carved with tiworn patterns.

With trembling hands, he poured mana into it. The crystal lit up with a faint glow, and a mont later, an aged and authoritative voice ca from within, tinged with impatience.

“What is it?”

“Ancestor, save . Save Silver Oakleaf.”

Odyssey V spoke incoherently, pouring out everything at once—the tragedy of the battlefield, the terrifying strength of the Gold Legion, the devastation wrought by the Super-Tier Spell.

“We are about to collapse. I beg you to intervene...”

Before he could finish, a cold rebuke rang out from the Communication Crystal, carrying bone-deep disappointnt.

“Worthless.”

Crack.

The communication was cut off without ceremony, and the light of the crystal dimd at once.

Yet Odyssey V began to laugh, and there was a hint of madness in that laughter.

“Ancestor... Ancestor is coming soon. Hahaha, wonderful. Wonderful...”

Before his words had even faded, a shrill scream rang out overhead.

One of Silver Oakleaf's Legendary Knights had been caught in a pincer attack by two Kroll legends. A knight's sword pierced through his chest, and his tall body plunged from the sky like a kite with its string cut.

It slamd into the open ground before the city gate with a heavy thud, and soon lay still.

The stench of blood on the battlefield grew ever thicker. Then, at that mont, two figures appeared high in the sky without warning, each surrounded by a pressure so great that it made breathing difficult.

They wore ancient robes, and their faces were hidden beneath the shadows of their hoods. Their expressions could not be seen, yet even the wind between heaven and earth seed to freeze in their presence.

William sensed at once that these two auras far surpassed ordinary legends, and his heart tightened. He imdiately took out the Rune Crystal left behind by Ancestor Fenlilan and poured mana into it with his fingertips.

The crystal lit up with a gentle white glow, releasing an ancient power that stood against theirs.

The two figures in the sky noticed William's movent, yet paid it no mind. One of them slowly raised a hand.

As he moved, an invisible domain force spread outward from the two of them.

Wherever it passed, whether Kroll soldiers or the surviving Silver Oakleaf soldiers, everyone felt their bodies seize up. Weapons slipped from their hands, and the sounds of battle instantly fell silent.

“That is enough. Stop.”

An old, calm voice rang across the battlefield, carrying an authority that could not be resisted.

Hearing that voice, even the legends confronting one another in the sky seed to be drawn by an invisible force. They instinctively halted and all looked up at the two figures.

On the city wall, Odyssey V struggled back to his feet, his face filled with wild delight.

“Ancestor! It is Ancestor! Silver Oakleaf is saved!”

William's brows drew together tightly. His grip on the Rune Crystal tightened as well. He did not know when Ancestor Fenlilan would arrive.

The figure on the left slowly turned toward William. The gaze hidden beneath the hood seed to pierce through the distance and fall directly upon him.

“Young one of Kroll, you have done well. But if this battle continues, it will do no one any good.”

There was no emotion in his voice.

“Silver Oakleaf admits defeat. We will cede three viscount territories in the Eastern Frontier and pay Kroll three million gold coins in compensation. Let this matter end here. If you refuse, then everyone behind you will remain here today.”

The threat in his words was utterly undisguised.
