Creak, creak.
The old, decrepit iron staircase protested shrilly underfoot.
One by one, people appeared at the highest point of the entire garbage disposal workshop.
Each one wore a fierce expression, their eyes filled with ferocity and arrogance.
Clutching clubs and machetes, they created chilling "ding ding dang dang" collision noises.
Yet, Ma Donghe stared fearlessly ahead, defiantly glaring at the gang of villains before him.
As if he were the one in control, and they were rely a bunch of jumping clowns.
Then, another series of heavy footsteps sounded.
The crowd quickly parted, making way for a burly man with a face covered in brutal scars.
A hideous scar stretched from the corner of his eye to his mouth, becoming particularly terrifying under the light.
It resembled a sinuous blood centipede, telling tales of cruel battles from the past.
He strode forward, each step deliberate and powerful, as if treading through his own territory.
Seeing him, Ma Donghe’s facial muscles twitched slightly, disbelief flashing in his eyes.
In an instant, the veins on his neck bulged, and he roared uncontrollably:
"Damn it, it really is you, you traitorous bastard!"
Ma Donghe leaned forward, trying to use brute force to break free from his restraints and confront the traitor face-to-face.
But he was tightly bound by thick ropes, and despite the chair creaking, he couldn’t move at all.
Moreover, this struggle caused his multiple bullet wounds to burst open even more severely, blood gushing out like a flood.
Yet, even so, Ma Donghe did not give up, his movents growing more frantic.
"Careful, don’t fall."
The burly man’s face bore a cold smile, speaking unhurriedly.
His eyes showed no remorse; instead, they carried a hint of mockery, as though enjoying an amusing toy.
Following his signal, two n quickly stepped forward and firmly held Ma Donghe down.
Ma Donghe’s cheeks bulged with tension, his gaze unyieldingly piercing the other man.
He wished he could devour this scum alive to vent his frustration.
Unexpectedly, the mastermind behind this backstabbing incident turned out to be a long-ti friend, the forr leader of the Three Wolves Gang—T-Rex.
Initially, it was this man who had vouched for him, introducing those dubious out-of-town buyers.
Ma Donghe thought he had been cautious enough, but ultimately, he fell due to soone he trusted.
"Why would you do this?!"
"T-Rex, you bastard! I was completely open with you, and for such petty cash, you’ve done sothing despicable!"
Ma Donghe furiously questioned.
However, T-Rex wore a look of disdain, his lips curling into a mocking smile:
"Don’t be naive, Donghe. In this survival-of-the-fittest world, only interests are eternal. You are too conservative, not adaptable."
"You..."
Ma Donghe was at a loss for words, only able to glare furiously at him.
After a long mont, he seed deflated, pleading desperately with his enemy:
"If you want my goods, just take them. There’s no need to harm my brothers. Let them go."
At this mont, his previously straight backbone bent slightly, the anger in his eyes replaced by helplessness.
T-Rex shook his head, his face still wearing that disgustingly smug expression:
"Donghe, haven’t you realized by now? I have no grudge against you. Everything is for profit, and you’re just a pawn employed by the organization."
"Organization? What organization, and what does it have to do with ?"
Ma Donghe was astounded.
T-Rex’s lips curved upwards, he leisurely said:
"The real power behind the Red Tiger Gang has influence and ambitions unimaginable to ordinary people like you."
"Ah, so you were an undercover agent for the Red Tiger Gang!"
Ma Donghe suddenly understood, a flash of shock in his eyes.
T-Rex looked at him as if he were an idiot, unable to suppress a scoff:
"That’s why I always say your brain’s all muscle. I was adopted by the gang leader of the Three Wolves Gang since my childhood. How could I be an undercover agent?"
"Now, I’m working for a big shot behind the Red Tiger Gang, and you’re just an insignificant sacrificial piece in this ga."
Pausing for a mont, as if to brag to his old friend, T-Rex voluntarily revealed his secret:
"Actually, the Noah Organization contacted a few years ago, but at that ti, I hesitated out of familial affection. Eventually, they chose Chen Chen."
"Hmph, that guy was just a nobody, a small-ti thug. With the resources and manpower provided by the organization, he managed to make his mark in the underworld."
T-Rex snorted, touching the fierce scar on his face, a trace of ferocity and resentnt flashing in his eyes.
"Yet now, by so cruel twist of fate, I’ve beco a stray dog without a ho."
"If I had known this, rather than letting the old man die at the hands of another, I would have rather sent him off myself..."
With that, T-Rex’s voice carried a self-deprecating tone, as if he had fallen into mories.
Seeing again the chaotic scene when the Three Wolves Gang was defeated, forr brothers fleeing everywhere, territory seized by other powers.
And how he had hoped to be valued by the East City Association but was cruelly tossed aside with a nial post, cast away like an unwanted pawn.
"Fortunately, the Noah Organization appreciated and after re-establishing contact, promised to support in rebuilding the Three Wolves Gang and conquering the entire East Capital underworld."
He suddenly raised his head, his eyes igniting with fanaticism.
