Kyle walked down the hill as he kept an eye on the distant worms.
After moving around for a while, he noticed that there were actually quite a few of them.
"Wonder how this guy procreates," he mused.
"It doesn't," Selene answered as she followed Kyle on Skweera. "It just makes copies of itself."
"It clones itself?" Kyle asked.
"I'm unfamiliar with that word," Selene answered. "What does it an?"
"It ans it makes copies of itself," Kyle answered as he looked around.
Selene grew a bit annoyed. Why didn't the guy just talk like a normal person and say that it makes copies of itself?
Of course, Selene wasn't actually annoyed because of Kyle's word choice but because of his constant lying.
The little incident with the word was just an outlet for her frustration.
Kyle kept going back and forth in confusing paths.
Obviously, he had no idea where he was going.
Selene really wanted to call him out for wasting her ti, but she wanted to give Kyle a chance.
She didn't believe it, but maybe, just maybe, he actually knew what he was doing.
"Almost there," Kyle said. "Wait, never mind. We still have a bit to go."
Selene just snorted.
Suddenly, Kyle stopped walking.
"Why did you stop? I thought we still had a bit to go," Selene asked with an even voice.
"We do, but there's an Initial Ferocious Beast specin in our way," Kyle said. "I am going to distract it, and you hit it, okay?"
Selene just looked at Kyle silently for a while.
"Sure," she eventually answered.
The next mont, Kyle lifted his hamr and struck the ground in front of him.
Nothing happened.
Then, he hit the ground again.
Nothing happened.
Selene just watched as Kyle kept creating small craters in the sand.
"Stay here," Kyle said as he slowly and carefully stepped forward.
Then, he hit the ground again.
"Co on!" he shouted. "I know you're in there! Hurry up! I have places to be!"
For over 30 seconds, Selene just watched Kyle hitting the ground in random places.
He obviously had no idea what he was doing, and Selene suffered from second-hand embarrassnt.
"Oh, you wanna play this ga, eh?!" Kyle shouted in frustration. "Fine! Then, I will co to you!"
Then, Kyle's swings changed, and he started to swing in only one direction, throwing sand behind him.
Selene held her forehead with one of her hands in exhaustion.
"Get out!" Kyle shouted through exhausted breaths.
He had been hitting the ground for minutes by now, and he had used quite a bit of Ether.
"Can you stop with this play?" Selene asked as she ran out of patience. "This is becoming sad."
Kyle didn't answer and kept digging into the ground.
"There's no beast there," Selene shouted. "Why can't you just admit-"
"Oh Lord, he comin!" Kyle shouted as he suddenly jumped out of the hole.
Selene groaned.
But then, she felt the ground shaking, and her eyes widened.
BOOOOOM!
A gigantic worm shot out of the ground, enveloping the entire hole Kyle had created within the last minutes.
As expected of a Colossus, this thing was big!
Its maw was probably five ters wide, and the thing itself was around 50 ters long!
The worm stretched over ten ters into the sky before it curved and ramd back into the ground.
"Oh no, you don't!" Selene heard Kyle shouting.
Then, she saw Kyle spinning with his hamr while it had green Ether around it.
Finally, the hamr hit the worm's side.
BOOOOOM!
The body of the gigantic worm vibrated and moved to the side a bit.
But that was it.
It barely stopped the Colossus in its tracks.
At most, it delayed its movents by a bit.
As for injuries?
Maybe it had a small bruise.
But that was it.
Kyle's eyes widened when he saw that.
This smash did not feel satisfying at all!
The entire thing was just at and muscle!
There was no bone breaking or organ rupturing.
Kyle just felt like he had tenderized a bit of at.
'This thing is fucking tough!' he thought as he jumped back.
He had never t a single Initial Ferocious Beast that could shrug off one of his full-power strikes.
This was crazy!
This thing couldn't be compared to any other beast Kyle had ever fought!
Luckily, despite the strike not dealing a lot of damage, it still caused the Colossus so pain.
And it really didn't like Kyle right now.
"Do your thing!" Kyle shouted as he started running away.
anwhile, Selene was stunned.
Did that guy just make this gigantic body move with a strike?
This thing was 50 ters long, and this random Peak Adept managed to actually slightly push it to the side!
That was crazy!
BOOM!
The surface broke as the worm surfaced, but this ti, it was not pointing towards the sky but at Kyle.
It was chasing him from the surface.
"Help! Please?" Kyle shouted as he looked back at the gigantic teeth-filled maw chasing after him.
Selene shook her head to regain her bearings.
Her eyes narrowed, and she slapped Skweera's head.
The next mont, Skweera's derpy eyes and cheeks bulged.
Skweera's neck turned orange and started to shine.
"I'm waiting!" Kyle shouted as he saw the maw almost reaching him.
"Fire!" Selene transmitted to Skweera.
In the next second, Skweera opened its mouth, and its body deflated as a gigantic blob of burning oil flew out of its mouth.
The blob was almost three ters wide, and it landed on top of the worm's head in an instant.
As soon as the blob hit sothing solid, its consistency changed, and it solidified.
BOOOOM!
Kyle felt a wave of heat washing over his armor as he was thrown forward by a powerful shockwave.
anwhile, the Colossus' body was blasted to the side as gigantic chunks of its body scattered across the surroundings.
In the next mont, the Colossus started to chaotically squirm around, shaking the ground.
When Kyle saw the body, he took a deep breath.
'Brah, the top of its head is completely gone!'
