Its maw was no longer a maw since the entire ceiling was missing.
That derpy salamander actually blew a crater that was about three ters wide into the worm's face!
'Dude, what? I can't do that!' Kyle thought. 'I thought I could deal a ton of damage with my hamr, but that's just ridiculous!'
"That's a Skinner Salamander," Theodor comnted. "There are not many beasts that are stronger in the First Realm."
Kyle watched the worm thrashing around chaotically.
"Don't even think about it," Theodor comnted. "You can't kill that. Even with the Beast Tar helping you."
"Colossuses have brains all over their body. You would need to destroy half of its body to kill it, and the Skinner Salamander doesn't have that much Ether. Its strikes are powerful, but they need long preparation ti and cost a lot of Ether."
The next second, Kyle saw the Colossus digging into the ground again.
And then…
It fucked off.
"Are you okay?" Selene asked with worry as Skweera approached. "I must apologize for my slow reaction. I didn't think there actually was a Colossus there."
"Huh? Yeah, yeah. I'm fine," Kyle answered. "Also, I'm pretty sure I told you there was one."
Selene beca a bit red in the face. "Yes, I know. I apologize. It won't happen again."
Kyle looked with confusion and concern at Selene.
'What's up with her?' he thought.
"Well, as long as it doesn't happen again, sure," Kyle comnted.
"Thank you," Selene spoke with embarrassnt.
Right now, Selene wasn't embarrassed because of Kyle's lies but because of herself.
She hadn't believed in Kyle, and that had endangered his life.
'I should have been ready!' she shouted at herself in her mind.
anwhile, Skweera was walking to the pieces of flesh that had been blasted off the worm and started to eat them.
"Leave so for !" Kyle shouted as he also started to chow down.
As he ate the first piece, he furrowed his brows.
'Bland. It's not bad. It's just… bland. It tastes like nothing.'
Luckily, there was enough at for Skweera and Kyle.
When they were done eating, Kyle looked at Skweera and Selene.
"So, yeah… that was… sothing," he said.
Selene nodded. "Skinner Salamanders have incredible destructive powers, but they are slow and need a lot of preparation ti. That's why I need a Shouter."
"If I were on my own, Skweera might not be able to prepare an attack in ti."
"Huh," Kyle uttered as he looked at the derpy salamander.
'We got artillery now,' he thought. 'This thing is like a mortar or sothing. Scary.'
"We should continue," Selene said. "Where's the Peak Beast specin?"
"Oh, right!" Kyle shouted before he started coughing.
"About 200 ters in that direction," he said as he ran in the indicated direction.
Selene looked with a complex expression at Kyle.
He really didn't look confident, and it really seed like he was lying.
Yet, he had been right every ti so far.
In the end, Selene decided to believe in Kyle.
The two of them continued traveling for about 200 ters before Kyle stopped.
"And here it is," Kyle said, stopping in front of a random spot.
Selene couldn't see any signs of beast activity in the area.
"How do you know?" she asked.
"Eh, trade secret," Kyle answered.
In truth, Theodor had used Colossuses before to dig out the gigantic cave his city was in, and he had experinted a lot with them.
He could tell where the specins were just by looking at the patterns in the sand.
"Specins?" Kyle coughed into his arm. "Shouldn't it be specin?"
"Specins is the proper plural," Theodor answered with annoyance. "Don't question my language skills. You're the one with the dwarf brain."
"So, what do you need to do?" Kyle asked Selene.
Selene looked at the random spot on the ground.
"I will ta it as my first Secondary Beast. When it is stronger, I will make it my Primary Beast. In order to ta the Colossus, it needs to be weakened and feel inferior," she explained.
"And how do we do that?" Kyle asked.
"We beat it in a fight," Selene said.
"Oh! So, you just want to beat the shit out of it?" Kyle asked.
"Kyle, strong beasts do not defecate," Selene comnted.
"It's a phrase," he answered with a roll of his eyes.
Selene didn't engage further with the topic. "Lure it out, please."
"Sure thing, Boss," Kyle answered as he jumped onto a random spot on the ground.
As soon as he landed, his eyes widened.
BANG!
Kyle jumped to the side as the Colossus charged out of the ground.
'That was way faster than the other one!' Kyle thought.
This specin was much smaller than the last one.
It was only about 20 ters long, and its maw was about two ters wide.
After its attack, the Colossus beca wide open to an attack since it needed to retreat into the ground again.
Since Kyle had seen how the earlier Colossus moved, he could predict with relative accuracy how this one would move.
Beasts like this were quite stupid, and they all moved in the sa pattern.
Just when the worm lowered its head to dig into the ground, a green hamr hit the side of its face.
BOOOOOM!
The head shot to its right, hit the ground, and the entire body rolled over twice.
"UUUUUH! Good hit!" Kyle shouted.
Selene watched in surprise.
She had seen Kyle's power earlier, but now, it beca apparent just how powerful he was.
This was ridiculous!
Sure, Skweera was much more destructive, but compared to Skweera, Kyle could move around and launch a bunch of attacks in succession.
Selene imagined how a fight between Skweera and Kyle would go.
She ca to the conclusion that it all depended on the starting location.
If there were twenty ters or so between them, Kyle would just die before reaching Skweera.
But if it were any closer…
That was when Selene rembered that Kyle was actually quite slow.
Skweera could just run away and strike from a distance.
Yet, Kyle could just hide behind the terrain.
In short, the results would be inconclusive.
Despite Selene's shock, she only hesitated for a single second this ti.
Skweera readied its attack.
BOOOM!
Kyle hit the worm again when it wanted to retreat into the ground, rolling it so more.
"This is fun!" Kyle shouted.
He wasn't doing a lot of damage since this thing was all muscle, but he basically made it helpless.
When Selene saw that, she told Skweera to hold its attack.
Maybe they didn't need Skweera for this.
