"Oh..."
Janet was a little stunned by the speech Gina had given her. It was so out of the ordinary, and Janet realised that Gina was a very special kind of woman. Most won in the world would feel angry if their boyfriend so much as glanced at another woman, so the fact that Gina didn’t mind Jason being with other won like this surprised her.
Janet spoke up.
"S-So, is it just won, or are you guys just allowing anyone you both agree on into the relationship? Like what if so other man asked to be with you?"
The look of pure disgust and repulsion that suddenly appeared on Gina’s face once she heard what Janet said was so intense that Janet actually recoiled in shock from it! Janet imdiately realised that not only had the thought of another man joining the relationship never even crossed Gina’s mind, but the re idea of it was so repulsive to Gina that Gina looked like she would be sick just from hearing it!
Gina spoke up in pure disgust.
"Please don’t ever say sothing so disgusting again. I don’t mind other won joining us, but there are places where I draw the line. I’d rather bite off my own tongue and die than allow another man touch ."
’Holy shit, she’s serious.’
Janet felt her eyes widen in shock when she saw the absolute seriousness in Gina’s eyes! Gina would literally rather die than allow another man to be with her! All of a sudden, Janet felt like a bit of a fool for asking sothing so dumb. Janet thought that the relationship Jason and Gina had was like an open one where they could both be with anyone they wanted, but Janet realised this wasn’t the case at all. Instead, it was a relationship where Gina welcod other sister-wives to make their family bigger. If it was a relationship like that, then Janet had a feeling it just might work!
Janet smiled apologetically and spoke in a low voice:
"Sorry for saying sothing so stupid, Gina. I didn’t an to get you mad."
Gina let out a calming sigh.
"No, it’s fine. I understand that it’s a little confusing. But this is just the sort of relationship I’ve decided to be in with Jason. It’s our choice, and we’re happy with it."
Janet nodded along, and she turned as the pilot announced that they would be landing in Texas soon. Gina ran her hand through Jason’s hair again as she whispered for him to get up, but what Gina and Janet didn’t know was that Jason’s consciousness wasn’t even present in the jet at that mont. Right now, Jason was using the [Eye of the King] skill to possess the body of one of his subordinates, and Jason was watching one of the many country guilds fighting inside a large Orange Gate.
This group was from the Japanese Guild, and Jason could still rember how intense the selection process had been for the hundred superhumans that would make up the Japanese Guild. There had been an entire tournant where all the superhumans were ranked based on how well they fought against other superhumans, and Jason had been invited to be a judge on the final battle where the two strongest superhumans would fight to see who was number one. The fight had been between two S Ranks who were close to becoming SS Ranks, a man nad Satoshi who could create blades using his mana, and a woman nad Mai who had the ability to control vines and roots and use them like weapons! Jason couldn’t really enjoy the fight since both superhumans were exceptionally weak in his own eyes, but he couldn’t deny that both fighters had skill, and at the end, Satoshi had won because Mai couldn’t keep up with the speed of his slashes!
Now, Mai was leading a group of three A-rank and one S-rank superhumans in an Orange Gate, and they were looking to clear out the Gate in one day. There were two Legion subordinates with them, a large Moonlight Wolf and an Ironbladed Falcon that let out a loud screech as it soared through the air. It was this falcon that Jason was currently using to watch what was going on. The gate the group was in was called the [Forest of One-Eyed Tigers], and it was filled with large tigers that could unleash mana slashes from their claws. The tigers were weak as far as Jason was concerned, and he watched as the group easily tore through the mobs in the Gate! The boss of an Orange Gate was typically around S Rank in strength, so most of the mobs were only B Rank to high A Rank. Fighting against the mobs was easy for a high-level S Rank like Mai! And since Mai was in a forest, which was her natural habitat, things beca even easier!
The fight against the mobs had only taken them a few hours because there were so many of them, and right now, Mai was facing off against the Gate boss on her own while her teammates took care of handling the mana stones while watching out for any approaching beasts. The boss was a large Tiger that stood at eight feet tall and had large, gleaming teeth. Its claws were made from a black obsidian material that it could shoot mana blades from, and it was so agile that it was nearly impossible for you to pin it down! The tiger jumped across the forest like an acrobat, and Jason watched as Mai sent multiple roots after it! The roots lashed out for the tiger’s feet, but the tiger jumped across the trees even faster before it countered with a claw swipe that sent four blades of mana straight at Mai! Mai brought up a large root to block the attack, and Jason narrowed his eyes in mild disappointnt! Didn’t Mai know that this was exactly what the beast wanted her to do!
The second Mai put the large root down, the tiger was already on top of her, and its large mouth was aid for her neck, but Mai expertly dodged the attack, and she grabbed the back of the Tiger’s feet with a root and flung it back into a tree!
SLAM!
The tiger let out a growl as it tore the root apart, and it charged towards the tree again! Mai was a good fighter, but Jason realised that she was a bit too dependent on the defensive side of her gift. Even though she was an S Rank, Mai was too afraid of getting hurt, so she tends to overdo things when she is defending against an attack that might hurt her. This was the sa way Satoshi had beaten her in the tournant before. Right now, Mai needed to find a way to limit the area the tiger could move through and force the tiger to go in a certain direction so it would be easier to capture or kill it!
And it was almost as if Mai could hear Jason’s thoughts because Mai suddenly slamd her foot into the ground and raised both hands up sharply! Thousands of roots flew out from the ground and began to surround Mai and the tiger, and the tiger’s face showed a bit of panic when it noticed that Mai was trying to trap it inside with her! The tiger quickly tried to use the opening on one side of the root prison to escape, but this was exactly what Mai had been planning for as she slashed her hand across the air to bring down a sharp vine from above like a fucking guillotine!
SLASH!
The vine cut through the tiger’s neck, and Jason smiled in pride as he saw the tiger’s body falling to the ground in two halves. Not bad. Jason told his subordinates to help the superhumans gather the mana stones and protect them as they go back, since they’ll be tired.
’If anything strange pops up, then let know imdiately.’
