Now reading: Chapter 1015: Years Of Vigilance from Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time, a Eastern novel by Grandvoiddaoist.

Han Yu spent the following years in a constant state of vigilance.

Every piece of information coming from the Slaughtered Moon Divine Blood Sect was monitored obsessively. The Rat Battalion continued to move through the hidden cracks in the sect’s barriers while the Jiangshi that still remained under Han Yu’s influence gathered fragnts of conversations and passed them along through intricate chains of communication.

Han Yu knew this matter was different from everything before.

The mont immortals beca involved, the danger escalated to an entirely different level.

Even Han Yu no longer dared to act recklessly.

He spent long periods simply sitting within the underground chambers beneath one of the Luan rchant Union’s hidden headquarters while reviewing every report that ca in. Maps covered the walls around him while formation screens floated in the air showing troop movents, trade routes and hidden clan deploynts.

Qing Luan often found him sitting there for entire nights without moving.

His expression had gradually beco more serious over the years.

The carefree slyness he once carried as Han Yu still appeared occasionally around his companions, yet when it ca to matters involving the Blood Sect, his eyes carried a sharpness that made even Dao Treading realm cultivators uneasy.

Because Han Yu understood sothing very clearly.

Up until now, everything remained within the boundaries of the mortal world.

Immortals were different.

Entirely different.

The uncertainty alone was terrifying.

One evening, while reviewing a newly delivered report from the Rat Battalion, Han Yu finally pieced together another mystery. He slowly leaned back in his chair while narrowing his eyes thoughtfully.

"So that’s why..." he muttered.

Qing Luan looked up from the docunts she was sorting nearby.

"Why what?"

Han Yu tapped the report with his finger.

"My master leaving the safe house back then." He spoke calmly. "It was because the sect had already begun preparations for contacting the immortals."

Qing Luan’s expression beca serious instantly. The reports over the next few months slowly revealed more details about the Blood Sect’s preparations. And the more Han Yu learned, the more absurd the entire process sounded.

Contacting immortals was nowhere near simple.

It was not rely so ritual or formation array that could casually be activated. Apparently, the process required the combined power of nearly every major existence within the sect.

The Patriarch.

The Peak Heads.

The hidden Ancestors.

All of them needed to personally participate.

And more importantly... The key to everything was the Bleeding Moon itself.

Han Yu learned this information from one of the Jiangshi stationed near Heart Peak. Through overheard discussions between elders, fragnted records and multiple corroborating reports, he slowly assembled the truth piece by piece.

The Bleeding Moon was far more than a symbol.

Far more than so strange celestial phenonon.

It was a construct.

An ancient construct that contained the wills of all those who had ascended from the Slaughtered Moon Divine Blood Sect throughout its hundreds of thousands of years of history.

The mont Han Yu learned this, even he remained speechless for a long ti. More than six immortals had apparently ascended from the sect over the ages. Perhaps even more as no one knew the exact number anymore.

So records had been lost.

Others were deliberately hidden.

The hidden ancestors themselves apparently only knew fragnts of the full truth. And among all those immortals, the most recent one remained particularly important.

Forr Patriarch Blood Garden.

Lady Rot Rose’s grandfather.

The man had ascended only a little over a thousand years ago. Compared to the ancient age of the sect itself, that tifra was incredibly recent. As such, the Blood Sect believed there was a very high chance he still existed within the Immortal Realm.

Of course, even this led to uncertainty.

No one truly knew what immortality ant.

Han Yu pondered this question many tis over the years.

Were immortals truly eternal?

Or did they rely possess far greater longevity?

Perhaps there were limits even there.

After all, if immortals truly lived forever without restriction, the world would likely have collapsed under their weight long ago.

Han Yu also realized another important point.

If immortals could descend freely into the mortal world, then the entire history of the Blood Continent made little sense.

The orthodox sects would never have been so helpless.

The Twin Leaf Peak Sect itself apparently possessed ascended immortals from ancient tis.

Many powerful sects likely did.

And yet none openly interfered in mortal affairs.

This ant there were restrictions.

Heavy restrictions.

Han Yu was absolutely certain of that.

Still, the existence of the Bleeding Moon complicated matters imnsely. The Blood Sect possessed sothing unique. Sothing capable of piercing through the boundaries separating worlds.

Thus Han Yu remained tense even as years passed with no visible results.

The Blood Sect stayed completely isolated.

The gates remained shut.

The great barrier still covered the sect.

And all the major powers within it continued focusing on the ritual.

Eventually, even Han Yu and his allies slowly relaxed sowhat. The process clearly was not simple and perhaps it might even fail entirely. Several hidden clan leaders began speculating that the immortals might no longer exist.

Others guessed that communication across worlds simply required absurd amounts of ti.

Han Yu himself remained cautious.

Yet deep inside, even he began hoping the Blood Sect’s efforts might ultimately amount to nothing.

Then one day... Everything changed.

It happened without warning.

Han Yu was currently discussing trade routes with Qing Luan and several clan representatives within a hidden mountain estate when suddenly the entire world trembled faintly.

RUMBLE

Every person present froze instinctively.

A second later...

A brilliant pillar of crimson light erupted into the heavens.

BOOOOOOM!

The skies themselves seed to split apart as a blood red beam shot upward from the direction of the Slaughtered Moon Divine Blood Sect. Even from thousands of kiloters away, the light remained visible across the entire Blood Continent.

Clouds exploded apart and the heavens trembled as the beam stretched endlessly upward like a divine spear piercing reality itself. Every cultivator across the continent looked toward the sky in shock.
