Now reading: Chapter 111: Servant Combat Assessment from Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time, a Eastern novel by Grandvoiddaoist.

The weekly servant assessnt was a tradition on Twin Leaf Peak Sect—a ti for the outer Court to monitor its cannon fodder servants, rank their usefulness, and occasionally spot one who wasn’t completely useless.

Usually, it was a glorified slap fight in the dirt.

But not today.

Today... Han Yu showed up.

He strolled into the servant combat arena like a man who had just drunk the spiritual equivalent of jet fuel and survived. His robes were cleaner than usual, his eyes sharp, and his back straight—well, straighter than when he was curled in a fetal ball screaming from pill pain.

A small crowd of disciples and fellow servants were already gathering. Most were eager to see soone get dunked on. Han Yu, known widely as "that guy who punched an Indigo Talent Disciple in the nuts and knocked out the teeth of another."

They were all generally expecting him to flop and flail and cry at the first slap. Despite the fact that Han Yu’s actual combat assessnt had been quite good.

"Heard he ticked off so Female Inner Disciple by stealing her sock," soone muttered.

"Heard he got poisoned by kitchen stew and still lived."

"Heard he’s working with that alchemist freak now."

As Han Yu stretched his arms and ward up with a few casual punches, a few servants on the sidelines scoffed.

"Han Yu?" sneered Geng Bai, a smug Eighth Stage Body Tempering Realm servant. "Thought you retired after your stomach tried to run away from your body."

"Oh hey," Han Yu said brightly. "Still got that lazy left leg, huh?"

Geng Bai’s eye twitched.

A loud gong rang. The overseer disciple on duty, a bored-looking senior outer sect disciple nad Lin Zhe, stood up and pointed at the two.

"Han Yu versus Geng Bai! Don’t hold back. First one to yield, collapse, or cry for their mother loses."

Han Yu cracked his knuckles. Geng Bai sneered, flexed, and lunged.

He ca in fast, launching a flurry of strikes, confident Han Yu would fold like a paper talisman in rain.

But Han Yu didn’t fold.

He pivoted.

One clean sidestep, a quick duck, and a sweeping leg strike later—and Geng Bai was flat on his back, coughing.

"What...?" he wheezed.

"Your footwork’s still garbage," Han Yu said cheerfully. "You telegraph every step like you’re writing it in a letter to your mom."

Geng Bai roared and ca again—this ti with a Vital Energy-infused palm strike.

Han Yu didn’t even flinch.

He twisted, grabbed the incoming arm, and spun.

WHAM.

Geng Bai hit the ground so hard a few nearby servants scread in alarm.

The crowd was silent.

"...Did Han Yu just... judo throw a guy?"

"No special technique?"

"He didn’t even use that strong skill of his he used in the appraisal!"

Geng Bai staggered to his feet, bleeding from his lip. "I’M NOT DONE—"

Han Yu stepped forward, calm as a breeze, and tapped him right in the solar plexus with two fingers.

Thud.

Geng Bai dropped like a sack of spirit potatoes.

"Now you’re done," Han Yu said casually.

Even Lin Zhe was wide-eyed. "Uh... Winner: Han Yu?"

Whispers rippled through the crowd.

"He’s... actually good now?"

"Did he always move like that?"

"Was the disciple assessnt wrong?!"

A few servant girls started whispering and giggling, while a few other servant boys looked at Han Yu like he’d grown another head. One that could fight.

As Han Yu dusted off his sleeves and walked back to the bench, he passed by one of his forr torntors—a bulky servant nad Shu Wei who had tead up with other servants to bully him on behalf of Murong Xie or so other disciple probably.

"Nice... form," Shu Wei mumbled, carefully avoiding eye contact.

"Oh, don’t worry," Han Yu said with a smile. "I’ll help you train next ti."

Shu Wei nodded like a man about to change his life.

Back on the sidelines, Lin Zhe kept glancing at Han Yu, muttering, "Wasn’t he supposed to be at the Seventh Stage of the Body tempering Realm?"

The way Han Yu fought and the faint aura he felt from the boy, Lin Zhe could tell that Han Yu was certainly stronger than that. Feeling suspicious, Lin Zhe used his Spirit sense to probe Han Yu’s body.

"Woo... what was that?" Han Yu shivered unconsciously, not knowing what had happened.

Bu Lin Zhe who observed Han Yu’s body, was stunned.

’What the... How’s he at the Ninth Stage of the Body Tempering Realm already?’ Lin Zhe couldn’t believe it and checked again making Han Yu shiver once more.

"Why am I shivering? It’s not even cold." Han Yu wondered.

The man behind it though, was only getting more confused.

"He’s really reached the Ninth Stage. Wasn’t he just supposed to be a Red ranked Talent?" Lin Zhe muttered to himself. "To breakthrough two stages in just two months... Even for a Green ranked cultivator, it would be too fast." Lin Zhe thought to himself.

Of course, once could certainly consu more beast at to do that and train hard, but Lin Zhe was sure there was no way Han Yu would be able to do that on a re servant’s salary.

There was sothing else that Han Yu was doing that other’s didn’t know about.

’Hmm... Perhaps this is worth looking into.’ Lin Zhe thought.

Han Yu anwhile, simply sat down, pulled out a small water flask, and looked up at the clouds.

"Ten percent more energy," he said to himself. "Not bad."

He didn’t even need to use the Bolt God Fist. And that was the scary part.

’The footwork and movent skill I got from the scroll and the Rat-infused ink was certainly handy. I can move and dodged better than I did before,’ Han Yu thought to himself. ’Li i is a lot more useful than I thought.’ He couldn’t help but wonder what other miraculous things the girl was hiding.

’I should get closer to him. I might benefit more than I might lose.’ Han Yu reckoned.
