Now reading: Chapter 147: Return Of Han Yu’s Antics from Strongest Scammer: Scamming The World, One Death At A Time, a Eastern novel by Grandvoiddaoist.

If Han Yu could make soone angry, then catch them off guard with sothing unexpected—maybe even sothing funny—he might be able to harvest both Red and Gray wisps.

And if he could make soone genuinely happy...

Han Yu thought of Wu Huian for a brief mont and the few Yellow wisps of Joy energy he had unconsciously harvested after she found him looking better at the courtyard.

He tapped his chin thoughtfully.

’I’ll need to test this.’

But one thing was clear.

He couldn’t be passive anymore.

The Soul Harvester Realm required action. It required him to stir the hearts of others, not just his own. It demanded that he beco more than just a cultivator—it demanded that he beco a source of emotional chaos.

And Han Yu was more than ready to be that chaos.

The next morning, the Outer Court was greeted by a strange sight: Han Yu, standing on top of a well, ringing a gong.

"Attention, disciples of the Twin Leaf Peak Sect!" he shouted. "A divine ssage ca to in a dream: The head of the kitchen departnt has been hoarding the tastiest buns in a secret cellar beneath the bathhouse!"

Everyone froze.

The younger disciples blinked. The older ones groaned. The kitchen staff began cursing.

Han Yu stepped down from the well with an innocent smile and vanished into the crowd.

What he had said wasn’t exactly false either. In his ti as a servant he had already learned of the Kitchen staff often hiding away so good food that they kept from the disciples. Though the location where they hid it wasn’t accurate.

SHUA

Gray wisps. Red sparks. Even a faint Yellow flicker from a laughing junior.

He felt it all.

And oh, it was good.

By the end of the week, Han Yu had already beco the most talked-about figure in the Outer Court.

His antics ca in all flavors—ranging from cleverly executed pranks to outright psychological warfare. He’d sohow acquired a spirit chicken and let it loose during a formation lecture, causing the instructor to chase the squawking creature across the training field while Han Yu quietly harvested grey wisps of Surprise and yellow flickers of Joy from the chuckling crowd.

The very next day, he replaced all the training swords in the weapons hall with fake wooden replicas dipped in ink—so when the morning duels began, every disciple who took a hit walked away with bright black smudges across their robes and faces.

The emotions? Glorious.

SHUA

Surprise.

SHUA

Anger.

SHUA

Even a tinge of Embarrassnt—sothing Han Yu would need to test further.

He returned to his courtyard every evening with a subtle smile and a soul sea just a little fuller than before.

His Soul Qi was still limited, of course—Soul Skills demanded far more energy than he could comfortably spare. He had tested one, a basic manifestation art that let him form a blade of Soul Qi. This was none other than the Eight Emotions Slash. But drawing it out for more than a few seconds drained nearly all his reserves. It was clear he couldn’t use them recklessly.

"This thod... it’s going to take ti," Han Yu admitted to himself one night, his body soaked in sweat from another failed attempt at channeling Soul Qi into an offensive strike. "But if I can keep gathering more emotions... I’ll have enough."

And so the chaos continued.

One morning, he orchestrated a false rumor that a new secret pill recipe had been discovered—one that enhanced spirit sense sensitivity. Dozens of desperate Outer Court disciples rushed the alchemist courtyard, only to find that the "recipe" was a list of ingredients for stead dumplings.

The rumor might be false, but the recipe did exist. Except it was in the hands of Li i and was still experintal with a lot of side effects. Han Yu knew it the best as he had been the one testing it after all.

SHUA

A stream of grey and red energy followed him all day.

On another occasion, Han Yu offered "cultivation advice" to a group of juniors, teaching them a made-up breathing thod that required them to squat on one leg while humming.

When they were inevitably scolded by an Outer Court elder, Han Yu just shrugged and smiled.

"Oh? I thought it was a rare technique from the Ancient Mosquito Sect..."

SHUA

More Surprise.

More Anger.

A few deep belly laughs from those watching—Joy.

He was becoming sothing of a local legend. So disciples hated him, others laughed behind his back, and a few actually started admiring him for his boldness.

But all of them rembered his na.

And that’s exactly what he wanted.

Han Yu had started keeping a crude tally of his Eight Emotions Energy harvest. So far, he had:

Red: Anger – Stable supply

Gray: Surprise – Abundant

Yellow: Joy – Inconsistent

Blue: Sadness – Rare, but a few drops from worried disciples mourning his past

Others – Yet to be confird

"Fear, Anticipation, Disgust and Love..." Han Yu muttered one day as he looked up at the cloudy sky. "Those will be hard."

Still, he had ideas.

Making people fear him? That would be tricky without revealing his actual strength or crossing lines with the elders. As for love... he wasn’t even going to touch that one yet. Too complicated.

Anticipation seed similar to surprise but Han Yu hadn’t obtained any. As for Disgust he was sure he had obtained a bit but couldn’t fully differentiate it well enough.

"Better to stick with what works for now," he concluded.

But not all was fun and gas.

There were whispers starting to rise—so disciples complained to the elders, and while nothing had co of it yet, Han Yu knew it was only a matter of ti before soone with real power took offense.

And then there was the other issue...

He was beginning to attract attention from those who had seen him as weak before—and now saw him as annoying but sohow still quite untouchable.
