Han Yu's soul cultivation had advanced far more than he had expected.

Far more.

He pulled back slightly, his heart beating faster.

"This… how can it be this much?" Han Yu whispered in disbelief.

He carefully began to assess his own level. Before, he had only just stepped into the Soul Adept stage. Now, after absorbing that terrifying amount of pure Soul Qi, he realized he had already crossed halfway to the next stage.

Halfway.

That ant that if he could gain a similar amount again, he would directly break through into the Soul Expert stage.

And a Soul Expert was equal to a Peak Nascent Soul Realm cultivator.

Han Yu's breath beca a little uneven.

He had never imagined that this mission, which he had once considered troubleso and even annoying, would bring him such a monstrous gain. Gaining the Fen Clan as an ally had already been valuable. Completing the sect's task without trouble was good for his standing. But this… this was sothing that skipped decades, perhaps even centuries, of slow cultivation.

He laughed softly.

"Zhao Liun really smashed an axe on his own foot by sending here," Han Yu said to himself.

That man had probably wanted to push him into danger, to tire him out, maybe even to make him fail. Instead, he had given him one of the greatest opportunities of his life.

His petty revenge would one day co back to bite him like a massive lion.

Han Yu spent the next few hours slowly adjusting to his new level of soul cultivation. He tested his perception, extending it outward from the lotus.

He could see farther.

Much farther.

His spiritual sensitivity had increased sharply. Even within the Fatui Clan courtyard, he could faintly feel the emotions of people moving around. Fear, relief, gratitude, joy, exhaustion. All of it brushed lightly against his senses.

More importantly, he could draw in Eight Emotions Energy from a greater distance than before.

And it was already happening.

Tiny wisps of colored energy were drifting toward him even now, passing through walls and distance, drawn by the resonance of his lotus.

Most of them were coming from the Patriarch and his sons.

Han Yu understood why.

No one else in the clan truly knew how close they had been to extinction. Only they understood how desperate the situation had been, how uncertain the future was. Because of that, their gratitude, relief, trust, and joy were far stronger than those of ordinary clan mbers.

Green trust energy, warm yellow joy energy, deep yellow gratitude energy, all of it slowly flowed toward him like thin streams.

Compared to the massive gain he had received from the shattered souls during pill refinent, this was like a few drops falling into a lake.

But a drop was still a drop.

And over ti, even drops could fill oceans.

Han Yu opened his eyes.

The night had grown deeper. The lanterns burned quietly, and snowflakes were drifting down slowly, dancing through the air.

He felt calm.

Content.

For the first ti in a long while, he felt that his path forward had beco clearer. His Qi cultivation, his soul cultivation, his Eight Emotions system, and his Blood Sect techniques were all growing together, no longer dragging each other down.

He stood up and walked slowly around the courtyard, letting the cold air brush against his face.

Tomorrow, he would leave.

The road back to the Slaughtered Moon Divine Blood Sect would take months. There would be danger, conflict, and uncertainty along the way. But now, he felt more prepared than ever before.

He was no longer just a disciple trying to survive inside a brutal sect.

He was becoming sothing else.

Sothing far more dangerous.

Han Yu returned to his room, lay down on the bed, and closed his eyes.

This ti, he truly slept.

.

.

.

Morning arrived quietly.

Han Yu opened his eyes before the sun fully rose, the pale light just beginning to slip through the paper windows of his room. For a mont he lay still, simply breathing, feeling the calm rhythm of his body and the deep steadiness of his mind.

He felt rested.

Not the shallow rest of a short sleep, but the kind that settled into the bones and the soul alike.

His Soul Core had stabilized.

He could feel it clearly now, no longer surging or fluctuating wildly like it had after the alchemy. It was steady, heavy, and full, like a lake that had finally stopped rippling after a storm.

The first thing he noticed was clarity.

It felt as if a thick fog had been lifted from his mind. His thoughts were sharp, precise, and fast. There was no dullness, no haze, no lingering exhaustion. Even his mories felt easier to grasp, as if his mind itself had gained more space.

He could recall information clearly, and even things he thought he had forgotten were now apparent in his mind.

He sat up and slowly extended his spirit sense.

Before, his natural limit had been around three hundred ters unless he actively refined and forced it further.

Now, it expanded on its own.

Four hundred.

Six hundred.

Eight hundred.

One thousand.

Han Yu opened his eyes in surprise.

"A whole kiloter…" he muttered.

He had not even pushed it. He had simply willed it to extend, and it had done so naturally, smoothly, without strain.

He withdrew it again, then sent it out once more, testing the control. It responded instantly, precise and obedient.

"As far as I know, body cultivators do not get this benefit, and Qi cultivators have to manually refine it step by step," Han Yu said quietly. "I suppose this is the advantage of being a dual body and soul cultivator."

And it was not just his spirit sense.

All of his senses had beco sharper.

When he focused, he could hear the faint sound of footsteps far away in the main building. Soone was walking slowly, perhaps a servant beginning their morning duties.
