"There are three other hybrid techniques preserved in the Kidney Peak." The Peak Head stated.

Han Yu's attention sharpened further.

"The second," the old man said, "requires tal affinity. It is called the Cold Steel Knight Technique. It forges the body and Qi into a weapon that is both unyielding and rciless. It produces terrifying frontline cultivators, but it demands absolute discipline."

Han Yu listened, ntally noting the na, though he knew it was not for him.

"The third requires Wind affinity," the Peak Head went on. "That art is known as the Polar Wind Destruction Art. Swift, ruthless, devastating. Those who practice it beco calamities on the battlefield."

The old man stopped speaking.

A silence stretched between them.

Han Yu hesitated only a fraction of a second before asking, "And the last one?"

The Peak Head looked at him directly now.

"The final hybrid technique," he said slowly, "requires Darkness."

Han Yu's pulse spiked.

"It is called the Freezing Abyss Glacial Art."

The na alone carried weight. Han Yu felt a chill crawl up his spine that had nothing to do with ice Qi.

The Peak Head continued, his voice steady.

"Unlike the other techniques, this one is not rely high grade. It is a Top Grade Cultivation Technique."

Han Yu's eyes widened despite himself.

Top grade.

Those words were not thrown around lightly. In the cultivation world, a top grade technique could shape eras, raise monsters, and define entire factions.

The old man watched Han Yu's reaction closely.

"The Freezing Abyss Glacial Art is demanding beyond reason," he said. "It requires a natural, powerful Darkness affinity. Not shallow darkness. Not tainted shadow. True abyssal darkness."

Han Yu swallowed.

"But that is only the first requirent," the Peak Head continued. "The body must be resilient enough to endure constant destruction and reconstruction. The mind must be unbreakable. Cultivating this art subjects one to ceaseless agony. Cold that eats the soul. Darkness that gnaws at reason."

His voice dropped slightly.

"In the last hundred thousand years, every cultivator who attempted it died."

Han Yu felt his scalp tingle.

"Every one?" he asked quietly.

The old man nodded. "Without exception."

A heavy silence fell.

Han Yu took a slow breath, steadying himself. Then he asked the question that mattered most.

"Then why does the Peak Head believe I can practice it?"

The old man did not answer imdiately. Instead, he extended his perception once more, brushing lightly against Han Yu's core.

"Because," he said at last, "you possess sothing none of the others had."

He t Han Yu's gaze.

"Fire."

Han Yu stiffened.

"Your Fire affinity is not weak," the Peak Head continued. "It is strong, stable, and deeply integrated. Fire resists cold. More importantly, it resists annihilation."

He turned away again, frost swirling faintly around him.

"In the past, cultivators with Darkness affinity who attempted this art were consud by the abyss. They froze from within, their souls extinguished."

He paused.

"But none of them possessed Fire as a counterbalance."

Han Yu's thoughts raced.

"Theoretically," the Peak Head said, "Fire could offset the deadly chill of the abyss. Not eliminate it. Only resist it long enough for the cultivator to survive."

He let out a slow breath.

"In the entire history of the Kidney Peak, only three people succeeded in cultivating the Freezing Abyss Glacial Art."

Han Yu asked, his voice barely above a whisper, "Who were they?"

The old man turned, his expression solemn.

"They were the first three generations of the Kidney Peaks."

Han Yu's eyes widened sharply.

"That contradicts what I know," he said carefully. "Is not the Endless Frost Tomb Art the requirent for becoming a Peak Head?"

The old man sighed, and for the first ti he looked truly old.

"That is the truth people are allowed to know," he said.

He walked slowly, his steps asured.

"When the Slaughtered Moon Divine Blood Sect was first established, the Kidney Peaks possessed two top grade techniques, two legacy arts. One was the Endless Frost Tomb Art. The other was the Freezing Abyss Glacial Art."

He looked up, as if staring into distant mories.

"In those early days, both arts reigned. One path was stable and enduring. The other was terrifying and absolute."

His gaze darkened.

"But the Freezing Abyss Glacial Art was too cruel. Too unforgiving. After the third generation, no one could cultivate it successfully. Generation after generation failed and died."

He clenched his fist slowly.

"Eventually, the elders made a decision. The Endless Frost Tomb Art beca the sole acknowledged legacy. The other was sealed, recorded, and forgotten by all but the Peak Heads."

He looked back at Han Yu.

"The Cold Silk Orchid remained rare. Advancent beca slower. Positions stagnated."

His eyes hardened.

"And now, for the first ti in countless years… soone suitable has appeared."

The warehouse fell silent.

Han Yu stood there, his mind reeling, fully aware that the path being placed before him was not rely dangerous.

It was abyssal.

And yet, fate itself seed to be nudging him toward it.

Only now did the scattered pieces finally co together in Han Yu's mind.

The reason the Kidney Peaks felt… unbalanced.

The reason the Endless Frost Tomb Art alone felt like a pillar missing its counterpart.

The reason the second Peak Head had been cornered politically for centuries.

It was not because he was weak.

It was because half of the Kidney Peaks' legacy had been severed.

Han Yu slowly exhaled, his chest rising and falling as he absorbed the weight of history that had been buried under convenience and fear. The Freezing Abyss Glacial Art was not rely a cultivation technique.

It was the other half of the Kidney Peaks' soul. The aggressive, domineering, abyss-facing counterpart to the Endless Frost Tomb Art's preservation and endurance.

One conquered cold by sealing it.

The other embraced it and survived.

Han Yu lifted his head and looked at the Peak Head, anticipation burning unmistakably in his eyes.

"If I learn the Freezing Abyss Glacial Art," he asked carefully, every word asured, "will I be under the Peak Head's protection?"

The old man froze for half a breath.

Then he laughed.
