For a long mont after the abyss was destroyed, Han Yu remained still within the depths of his inner world.
The colossal flaming giant that had delivered the crushing blow was still there, standing within the space of his Dantian like a deity ford from molten earth and living fire. Its body radiated unbearable heat, magma veins glowing beneath layers of blazing fla, its towering fra easily hundreds of ters tall.
Han Yu stared at it in silence.
Even though the giant was clearly a manifestation of the living fla within him, there was sothing eerily familiar about its shape.
The broad shoulders.
The towering fra.
The overwhelming aura of primordial power.
A mory surfaced within Han Yu's mind.
The caldera.
The skeleton.
When he had first found the living fla deep beneath the volcanic altar, he had also discovered the enormous skeletal remains of an ancient being. At that ti he had assud it belonged to so long-dead cultivator of imnse strength.
But now, as he looked upon the fiery giant before him, the resemblance was unmistakable.
"This…" Han Yu thought quietly.
"It must be the Magma Ancestor."
Back in the caldera he had only seen the skeleton. A silent monunt of bones left behind by a cultivator whose story had long since faded into legend.
But the proportions had been the sa.
The shape of the fra.
The towering scale.
The overwhelming presence.
The giant that had appeared just now was not exactly the sa, of course. This one was made entirely of living fire and molten energy. Yet the silhouette matched almost perfectly.
Han Yu did not know how such a manifestation had appeared inside him.
But one thing was obvious.
It was connected to the living fla.
The sa fla he had discovered hidden beneath that ancient altar in the volcanic cavern near the caldera.
That fla had given him his Fire affinity. It had saved his life once before in the freezing river of the Harrow Mountains. And now it had done so again. Without it, the abyss would have consud him completely.
As Han Yu continued observing, the giant began to fade.
The flas slowly dimd. The magma veins cooled and the massive form grew transparent like smoke dissolving into the air.
Within seconds, the towering figure vanished entirely.
His inner world returned to silence.
Han Yu inhaled slowly.
Now that the battle was over, he knew the final stage of the technique was about to reveal itself.
The oppressive cold that had plagued him for weeks was gone, the suffocating presence of the abyss had disappeared and his control over his body returned instantly.
He shifted his awareness back to his Dantian.
And there he saw it.
The darkness had not disappeared completely.
But it had changed.
Instead of a raging vortex devouring everything, it now existed as sothing far more stable.
A small pool.
Within the vast sea of spirit Qi inside his Dantian, a patch of black liquid rested quietly near the center.
It was not large. Barely a ter across.
Compared to the enormous Qi sea surrounding it, the puddle looked insignificant.
Yet Han Yu imdiately understood what he was seeing.
His eyes lit up with excitent.
"That's it."
He focused his spirit sense carefully on the small pool.
The mont his consciousness touched the black liquid, he felt the difference imdiately.
The energy contained within it was unlike anything he had ever encountered before.
It was not ordinary elental Qi.
It was not pure darkness.
It was not pure ice either.
Instead it carried the characteristics of both.
Cold.
Silent.
Endlessly deep.
This was the special energy created by the Freezing Abyss Glacial Art.
A derivative Qi.
A rare energy that could not exist naturally in the world.
A fusion of two elental forces.
Darkness.
And ice.
Han Yu whispered quietly within his mind.
"Abyssal Frost Qi."
Every high-level cultivation technique eventually produced its own specialized Qi.
The Endless Frost Tomb Art of the Kidney Peaks generated Bone Frost qi.
Other techniques created Blood Fla, Azure Lightning, or similar hybrid energies.
And the Freezing Abyss Glacial Art produced this.
Abyssal Frost Qi.
A power born from the endless depths of darkness and the silent chill of absolute cold.
Han Yu examined the small puddle carefully.
Although it was only about a ter across, the density of the energy inside it was astonishing. Each drop of the black liquid contained imnse power.
Now that the technique had been successfully initiated, the next step was simple.
Integration.
Han Yu gently willed his spirit sense to move.
The surface of the puddle rippled slightly.
Then a small portion of the Abyssal Frost Qi rose from the liquid like a dark mist. It floated upward through the Qi sea, moving slowly toward the core that sat at the center of his Dantian.
His crimson Core Condensation core glowed faintly as the black energy approached.
Han Yu watched closely.
The mont the Abyssal Frost Qi touched the core, it was absorbed instantly.
A cold sensation spread through his body.
But unlike the deadly freezing that had nearly killed him earlier, this cold felt different.
Balanced.
Controlled.
it felt... Natural.
The black energy sank into the surface of the core and vanished inside. A tiny black dot appeared on the crimson surface where the energy had entered.
Han Yu carefully observed the reaction.
The core did not reject it.
There was no violent conflict.
Instead the two energies seed to coexist peacefully.
The crimson core continued spinning slowly within the Qi sea, now marked with that small black spot like a seed planted upon its surface.
Han Yu then glanced back at the puddle.
Its size had decreased.
Roughly half of the liquid was gone, but sothing remarkable was happening... The remaining energy was slowly regenerating.
Tiny strands of Ice Qi and Dark Qi from his ridians were drifting toward the puddle and dissolving into it, gradually restoring its volu.
Han Yu's heart relaxed.
He exhaled a long breath.
"That ans…"
