"Peak Head... he is still wearing outer court robes."

The other nodded. Their tone carried confusion more than disrespect.

The Peak Head simply replied calmly.

"That will change soon."

His words were simple, but they carried absolute certainty.

The two disciples fell silent.

However, Han Yu could feel their emotions clearly. The Eight Emotions Lotus within his soul space reacted imdiately. Streams of emotional energy drifted toward him.

Grey surprise, Red anger and a faint thread dark blue sadness.

Han Yu understood their feelings perfectly.

From their perspective, the situation must have felt unfair. They were Nascent Soul disciples. Talents carefully nurtured by the Kidney Peak for many years. Yet suddenly an unknown outer court disciple had appeared and beco the personal disciple of the Peak Head.

The difference in status was enormous.

Elder Kunshan seed to notice their reactions as well and his expression turned stern.

"Why are you still standing there?"

His voice carried sharp authority.

The two disciples straightened imdiately.

"Greet your Senior Brother."

The words landed heavily.

Both disciples hesitated for a fraction of a second. But the sect hierarchy was absolute. The personal disciple of the Peak Head held the highest seniority among the disciples of the peak.

Even Nascent Soul inner court disciples were technically juniors to him.

Finally both of them cupped their hands.

"Junior Brother Huang Pei greets Senior Brother."

"Junior Brother Teng Xun greets Senior Brother."

Han Yu was slightly surprised by the situation.

But he returned the greeting calmly.

"You are both too polite."

Inside however, he could still feel the emotional waves flowing from them.

Jealousy.

Frustration.

Confusion.

It was only natural.

Han Yu understood it well.

After all, a stranger had suddenly appeared and surpassed them in status overnight. For talented cultivators who had struggled for years to reach their current positions, such a developnt was difficult to accept.

Han Yu simply smiled faintly.

The real test had not even begun yet.

The hall remained quiet for a few monts after the greetings.

Elder Kunshan and his two disciples were still standing respectfully before the Peak Head, but it was clear that the formal introductions had ended.

The Peak Head glanced at them briefly.

"That will be all for today."

His tone was calm, but it carried unquestionable authority.

Elder Kunshan imdiately cupped his hands. "As you command, Peak Head."

He turned slightly and looked at Huang Pei and Teng Xun. "Let us go."

The two disciples obeyed instantly.

Before leaving, both of them glanced once more at Han Yu. Their expressions were far more controlled than earlier, but Han Yu could still sense faint ripples of emotion flowing from them.

Grey surprise.

Muted anger.

And a trace of resentnt.

They bowed again toward the Peak Head and then toward Han Yu.

"Senior Brother."

With that, the three of them left the residence hall.

Their footsteps faded down the corridor.

Once they were gone, the Peak Head turned and walked toward the inner corridor of his residence.

"Follow ."

Han Yu obeyed silently.

The two of them walked through the quiet halls of the residence.

The corridors were spacious, lit by faint blue lamps that glowed softly against the polished stone walls. The air here was colder than in most parts of the sect, filled with subtle traces of ice elental energy that constantly circulated through hidden formations.

Yet the Peak Head did not speak.

Not a single word.

Han Yu also remained silent.

He understood that the man likely wished to discuss things in private. They eventually arrived at the Peak Head’s personal chamber. The door opened with a faint pulse of Qi and both of them stepped inside.

The room was large but simple.

A few chairs.

A long table.

Shelves filled with jade slips and scrolls.

Cold blue crystals embedded in the walls emitted soft light.

Only after the door sealed shut behind them did the Peak Head finally turn around.

His eyes landed directly on Han Yu before his spirit sense surged outward.

SHUA

It swept across Han Yu’s body in a single smooth motion.

Han Yu did not resist.

He knew the man rely wished to confirm his progress.

Within monts, the Peak Head had already seen everything he needed. The Abyssal Frost Qi. The subtle cold aura circulating within Han Yu’s ridians. The highly refined Moon Blood Qi radiating faint purple light.

The transformation of the core.

The man’s eyes glead.

"Excellent."

A faint smile appeared on his face.

It was small and controlled. But Han Yu felt sothing entirely different. Streams of bright yellow Eight Emotions energy poured toward him.

Joy.

Pure joy.

The amount was enormous.

Far greater than what the Peak Head’s expression suggested.

Han Yu imdiately absorbed the energy with his Eight Emotions Lotus Soul Core. He kept his face calm, but internally he could not help feeling slightly amused. The old man was far happier than he was showing.

The Peak Head slowly walked closer.

"You have truly succeeded."

His gaze lingered briefly over Han Yu’s body. The Freezing Abyss Glacial Art was clearly present and the Abyssal Frost Qi was undeniable proof.

Even though the amount was small, it already showed that Han Yu had successfully taken the first step into the legendary cultivation technique.

For anyone familiar with the history of the Kidney Peaks, this was a monuntal achievent.

Of course, the Peak Head also noticed sothing else... The purple glow of Moon Blood Qi.

That energy could only co from one technique: The Moon Conquering Divine Art.

But he did not ntion it... Just as they had agreed earlier.

Officially, Han Yu had obtained only one inheritance.

The Freezing Abyss Glacial Art.

Everything else would remain hidden.

The Peak Head nodded slowly.

"You did not waste ti."

His voice carried approval.

"The Abyssal Frost Qi is still weak, but that is expected. That technique has always been difficult."

He paused briefly.

"But the foundation is there."

Han Yu bowed slightly.

"This disciple rely followed the instructions of the Peak Head."
