With Master Swamp Leech showing no signs of calming down, Han Yu decided to take the matter in his own hands.
"Master Swamp Leech," Han Yu said carefully, "Mistress Love Wine insults everyone equally. It is not personal."
The man slowly looked up.
"...really?"
"Yes."
Mistress Love Wine nodded casually.
"I insult Blood Pool every ti I see him."
Daoist Blood Pool snorted.
"That is because you lack appreciation for masculine perfection."
"You flex hard enough to cause earthquakes," Mistress Love Wine replied. "Last ti we t, your sleeve exploded because you tried to lift a wine jar seductively."
Daoist Snake Face quietly drank wine while his shoulders shook faintly with restrained laughter.
Master Swamp Leech finally cald down a little.
Han Yu continued.
"You should not take it so seriously."
"...then Love Wine does not hate ?"
Mistress Love Wine sighed dramatically.
"I am only mildly disgusted by you."
That sohow seed to comfort him.
"...oh."
Han Yu stared blankly.
’How is that reassuring?’
Still, the crying finally stopped.
The atmosphere slowly settled once more while the servants discreetly cleaned away the sli coating the floor.
Han Yu leaned back slightly and exhaled.
He truly felt ntally exhausted already.
And the gathering had barely started.
Lady Rot Rose finally clapped her hands lightly, a faint smile still lingering on her beautiful face.
"Now that our emotional crisis has passed," she said smoothly, "shall we begin the gathering properly?"
Everyone gradually composed themselves.
Even Mistress Love Wine straightened up slightly, though the teasing gleam in her eyes never disappeared.
Han Yu also sat upright, finally curious about what these gatherings actually involved. He highly doubted Legacy Disciples gathered rely to drink wine and gossip.
Though considering the past half hour...
Perhaps gossip was indeed part of it.
A mont later, several servants moved around the pavilion carrying trays of food and drink.
The dishes were exquisite, far beyond anything ordinary disciples would ever taste. Spiritual beast at cooked in fragrant sauces, translucent fruits glowing with spiritual energy, delicate pastries shaped like flowers, and wines of varying colors and aromas were placed across the table.
Lady Rot Rose gestured gracefully.
"Please enjoy yourselves."
This ti Han Yu finally relaxed slightly regarding the food. With all the Legacy Disciples present, Lady Rot Rose would not casually poison anyone.
Probably.
Han Yu took a small sip of wine before realizing this was likely the proper ti for gifts.
He reached into his storage ring and withdrew a carefully crafted box.
Naturally, he knew full well that the true credit belonged to ng Jueyan and Qing Luan’s network. Without them, finding such a gift would have been nearly impossible. Still, appearances mattered.
Han Yu placed the box respectfully before Lady Rot Rose.
"A small token of appreciation for my hostess."
Mistress Love Wine instantly leaned over the table with interest.
"Oho? You prepared gifts?"
Lady Rot Rose accepted the box with elegant fingers and opened it.
The mont the contents were revealed, surprise flashed across multiple faces as they saw a bell jar inside.
Inside the transparent bell jar rested a beautiful moth with pale white outlines across its body and shimring rainbow colored wings that glowed faintly under the pavilion lights.
Even Daoist Snake Face’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Mistress Love Wine gasped first.
"A Rainbow Winged Illusion Dream Moth?"
Han Yu noticed genuine surprise in her expression.
Lady Rot Rose carefully observed the moth as it fluttered gently within the jar.
Mistress Love Wine imdiately continued.
"Keeping one near your bed while sleeping grants peaceful dreams and wards away ntal disturbances. They are incredibly rare."
Master Swamp Leech nodded slowly.
"They rarely appear on the Blood Continent..."
Lady Rot Rose looked toward Han Yu with visible interest now.
"This is quite thoughtful."
Han Yu inclined his head slightly.
"I am pleased my lady likes it."
Mistress Love Wine pouted dramatically.
"You never gifted anything this precious."
Han Yu calmly picked up his wine.
"You already extorted enough from ."
Daoist Blood Pool burst into loud laughter again.
Mistress Love Wine placed a hand over her chest in mock pain.
"How cruel."
Then she leaned closer toward Han Yu again.
"You wound my heart repeatedly tonight."
Han Yu ignored her expertly this ti.
Master Swamp Leech unexpectedly spoke up again, his voice quieter now.
"I’ve heard that these moths migrate from the Central Continent during certain seasons... though few survive the journey."
Han Yu nodded.
"Storm currents occasionally push them toward the southern regions near the Blood Continent. A fisherman spotted this one resting on an isolated island near the coast."
Lady Rot Rose looked impressed.
"You went through considerable effort."
Han Yu rely smiled faintly.
"So gifts deserve effort."
Mistress Love Wine imdiately pointed accusingly at him.
"You see? Listen to that smooth tongue! No wonder won fall for him."
Han Yu nearly sighed aloud.
’Why does every conversation return to this?’
Daoist Snake Face finally spoke after remaining quiet for so long.
"It is rare to see Mistress Love Wine so persistent with one person."
Mistress Love Wine grinned shalessly.
"That is because Ju Fan is interesting."
Then her eyes slid toward Han Yu lazily.
"And handso."
Han Yu took another drink of wine without responding.
Daoist Blood Pool scoffed loudly.
"What is so special about him?"
Mistress Love Wine imdiately answered.
"He looks dangerous without looking disgusting."
Silence filled the pavilion.
Then she pointed around the table casually.
"Blood Pool looks like he wrestles mountains for fun. Snake Face looks like he bites people recreationally. Swamp Leech looks like a plague spirit escaped from a swamp."
Master Swamp Leech looked hurt again.
"And Ju Fan?" Daoist Blood Pool asked irritably.
Mistress Love Wine smiled slowly.
"He looks like the kind of man who ruins lives politely. Plus his evil and cold face is only a front, deep down I know he’s violently kind."
Lady Rot Rose laughed softly at that description.
Even Han Yu had to admit internally...
That was disturbingly accurate.
