Han Yu quietly observed.
One subordinate stepped forward.
"My lord, the hidden detection plates recorded a strong fluctuation in this region."
Han Yu raised his brows.
Detection plates?
He had sensed nothing previously.
The subordinate continued.
"We buried them months ago after the earlier incidents. This location showed the strongest response."
Palm Hand Lu frowned.
"Check again."
The man quickly moved.
Han Yu watched him dig through nearly ten ters of snow before finally retrieving a tal plate buried beneath the ice.
The cultivator activated it.
Several runes appeared.
His expression shifted.
"My lord... this..."
Palm Hand Lu took the plate personally.
"A spatial fluctuation?"
The large man froze briefly.
Then realization appeared in his eyes.
"So it truly exists..."
His expression brightened.
"That hidden place really is inside a Spatial Realm."
Han Yu quietly watched.
Palm Hand Lu imdiately began issuing orders.
"Set camp."
"I want every formation master searching."
"Scan everything."
"I want that place found."
The n imdiately obeyed.
Formation flags were planted.
Array discs activated.
Tents appeared.
The empty snowfield turned into a temporary encampnt.
Han Yu remained hidden while observing them work.
Hours passed.
Then an entire day.
Nothing was found.
Even with so many formation masters searching continuously, they discovered nothing. Palm Hand Lu gradually beca irritated. Toward evening he received a ssage through a jade slip.
Han Yu could not hear its contents, but the man’s expression darkened.
He cursed softly before leaving with several guards.
The others remained behind.
Han Yu continued waiting.
Another day passed.
Nothing happened.
Then the weather changed.
A blizzard descended.
Han Yu felt it instantly.
This was no natural phenonon.
The temperature plumted.
Snow surged across the plains violently.
The cultivators below looked up in confusion.
"What is happening?"
Then the cold arrived.
Pure.
Terrifying.
Absolute.
Several cultivators froze where they stood before they could even react.
Han Yu’s expression changed.
He imdiately retreated farther.
The cold surpassed Nascent Soul and went beyond Dao Shell realm.
This was Dao Treading level power!
One by one the searching cultivators turned into ice statues.
Formation tools shattered.
Tents collapsed beneath the storm.
The entire encampnt beca silent.
Han Yu stared from the distance.
A few minutes later the blizzard vanished as suddenly as it had appeared.
Silence returned.
Snow drifted gently once more.
Then soone descended from the sky.
White robes fluttered softly.
Black hair swayed in the cold wind.
Han Yu froze.
His pupils contracted.
The figure landed lightly among the frozen bodies.
Her familiar profile turned slightly.
Cold eyes.
Sharp features.
The sa presence.
The sa woman.
Han Yu’s heart shook.
"Madam Cold Fang?" he muttered in disbelief.
Han Yu remained hidden among the frost covered rocks while watching Madam Cold Fang.
His mind was in complete disorder.
Why was she here?
The woman stood among the frozen corpses of Palm Hand Lu’s n as snow drifted gently around her. The entire area had fallen silent after the blizzard. Several dozen ice statues remained scattered around the camp, forever frozen in the middle of their tasks.
Han Yu observed her carefully.
"Is she connected to that Bat Beastkin sohow?" he thought. "Or is she behind all this from the start?"
The scene did not look good.
Palm Hand Lu’s n had died instantly the mont she arrived. At the very least it proved she had so relationship to the place. Yet Han Yu did not rush to conclusions. He had learned enough in the Blood Sect to know that assumptions killed people faster than swords.
Madam Cold Fang slowly looked around the area.
Her black hair swayed softly behind her in the cold wind while her white robes fluttered lightly. Even after all these years, Han Yu had to admit she was extraordinarily beautiful.
Lady Rot Rose had a mature charm that ca from age and experience.
Mistress Love Wine possessed a beauty that felt almost unnatural.
Madam Cold Fang stood sowhere between them.
Cold.
Distant.
Like an immortal carved from ice.
As Han Yu continued observing, her movents suddenly stopped.
Her head tilted slightly.
Then she looked directly toward a certain spot.
Han Yu’s heart skipped.
Because the direction she was looking... Was exactly where he was hiding.
He imdiately held his breath.
"Impossible."
He was nearly two kiloters away.
He had an illusory talisman active.
Even his aura was suppressed.
She should not be able to sense him.
"Co out."
Madam Cold Fang’s voice drifted through the snow.
Han Yu stayed perfectly still.
He did not move.
The wind continued blowing.
A minute passed.
Her brows furrowed slightly.
Then she raised her hand.
SHUA
A blue snowflake shaped sigil ford above her palm.
It hovered there quietly, glowing with cold light.
Han Yu imdiately felt danger.
She lightly tapped it.
The snowflake vanished.
WHOOSH
Han Yu’s eyes widened.
It had already appeared in front of him!
He imdiately moved.
His body shifted sideways while his Frost Qi surged.
Yet the snowflake followed perfectly.
It touched his shoulder.
His illusion shattered instantly.
The surrounding air rippled.
"Shit!" Han Yu cursed internally.
"Found you." A voice ca from behind him.
Han Yu froze.
He turned slowly.
Madam Cold Fang was already standing there.
He had not sensed her move at all.
The distance of two kiloters had vanished in an instant.
Her expression remained calm as she looked at him.
"To think I would find you here," she said softly.
Her eyes moved over him.
"Ju Fan... was it?"
Han Yu forced himself to stay composed.
"Greetings, Madam Cold Fang."
Internally he was already preparing escape plans.
None of them looked good.
Last ti they t he had been too weak to understand her cultivation.
Now he could finally tell.
Dao Treading.
Firmly within it.
Perhaps even high within the realm.
The pressure she gave him exceeded anything he had felt from ordinary Dao Treading cultivators.
"To think you would hide after seeing ," Madam Cold Fang said.
Her tone remained neutral.
"If not for the mark I left on you, I might not have noticed you before you escaped."
Han Yu blinked.
Then froze.
"Mark?"
His eyes widened.
"You were tracking ?"
Madam Cold Fang looked almost amused.
"Of course."
"You were an interesting person."
"Strange too."
"Soone worth observing."
Han Yu’s expression stiffened.
A mark...
Placed on him over fifteen years ago...
And he never noticed?
His scalp tingled.
His soul cultivation had improved imnsely since then.
He had learned countless techniques from the Inheritance Stelae.
Yet he had never sensed anything.
Madam Cold Fang continued calmly.
"The mark does not work from far away."
"But from this distance?"
She slightly raised a finger.
"It becos easy."
Han Yu finally understood.
She probably had not actively tracked him all these years. She rely sensed it now because he happened to be nearby. Otherwise she would have found him much earlier.
He awkwardly stood there.
The atmosphere beca strange.
He had no idea what to say.
After several painful seconds he finally forced words out.
"Uh..."
He looked around.
Snow.
Ice.
Frozen corpses.
A dead camp.
"Nice seeing you again?"
Madam Cold Fang stared silently.
Han Yu imdiately regretted speaking.
He quickly tried again.
"The weather is good today?"
Silence.
Snow drifted between them.
Madam Cold Fang slowly looked upward.
A few snowflakes landed on her hair.
Then she turned back toward him.
"The weather?"
Han Yu nodded awkwardly.
"Yes?"
She looked around the frozen wasteland.
The destroyed camp.
The corpses.
The shattered formations.
Then back at him.
"You still speak strangely."
Han Yu almost sighed in relief.
At least she was talking normally.
Then her next words froze him again.
"Why are you here, Ju Fan?" she asked calmly. "And why were you looking for the Smiling Spring?"
