On the screen, a black shadow leapt into the air from the highest point of the park, soaring into the night sky. Everyone imdiately realized that the murderer was well-prepared, escaping with a paraglider. The paraglider was fast, and the opponent was a paraglider expert, running in the opposite direction of Shadow and the others. With the hill and trees as cover, it was impossible to shoot back, and soon the target was out of sight.
"That bastard," Ye Laixiang cursed angrily. Just monts ago there was no problem, and now the murderer had escaped, feeling a bit embarrassed, she looked at Luo Zheng, only to find him staring intently at the screen contemplating. She was taken aback and asked, "What's the matter?"
"A paraglider is indeed a good escape thod, but it's also a large target. No matter where he lands, he'll be found. If the opponent knows our satellite's flight path and timing, and is aware there's no satellite overhead now, the best option is to land in the suburbs. There's too much surveillance in the city; it's unsuitable," Luo Zheng said quietly.
"The suburbs?" Ye Laixiang reacted and imdiately said, "Bring up the surrounding terrain in full view."
Quickly, the computer screen displayed the surrounding topography, three-dinsional and clearly detailed. Everyone stared at the screen. Ye Laixiang pointed to a location and said, "Here, it's sparsely populated, not easy to be discovered. It's the best area for landing, plus it's close to the highway, making it possible for quick assistance."
"No, the opponent is very cunning, anything we can think of, so can he. I'm sure he won't take that route," Luo Zheng bluntly refuted, his eyes as sharp as a hawk's, staring at the screen. Ye Laixiang knew Luo Zheng's ability and did not get angry, patiently waiting.
After a while, Luo Zheng pointed to an area and said, "Here is a rural area, with only a few houses, unobtrusive. The murderer might temporarily hide here. Look," he said, pointing to the park, then to the rural location and continued, "There's no construction along the way, and it's dark, aning the chance of being discovered is low. More importantly, the flight ti is under five minutes."
"In the shortest possible ti, taking the least noticeable route, finally lurking in the least conspicuous rural area, this is a good idea. I'm with you. What should we do next?" Ye Laixiang perked up, inquiring spiritedly, looking at Luo Zheng with added admiration.
Luo Zheng did not speak but looked at Hong ihua, indicating the capture should be handled by the more professional Hong ihua. Understandingly, Hong ihua nodded and said, "Girl, let's not test him. He generally doesn't speak on such matters, so let's handle it ourselves."
"Alright, it's your call," Ye Laixiang chuckled.
"Zoom in on the village," Hong ihua unhesitatingly took over command.
The village was zood in on the screen, but soon stopped, only showing the general outline. Lan Xing said awkwardly, "Civilian satellite, this is as far as it can zoom."
"It's enough," Hong ihua laughed at the erected utility poles and continued, "I estimate the murderer has jamd the village's signals, but the village landline, imdiately contact the local police station, have them reach out to a person of high regard in the village, organize other families for a secret evacuation, absolutely must be secretive, have the SWAT team ready, Shadow, are you going as well?"
"No problem, this bastard, I must catch him myself," a voice sounded from the speaker—Shadow, furious about letting the murderer slip away under his nose, seethed.
"Don't worry, you'll surely find him," Luo Zheng smiled.
Lan Xing quickly sent instructions to the local police chief, the rest was just waiting. Everyone closely watched the screen, but it was too dark, and using a civilian satellite, they couldn't spot the murderer who controlled the paraglider. How would this situation unfold? Everyone felt uncertain, including Luo Zheng, who could only gamble at this point.
Five minutes passed. Calculating the distance and speed, the murderer should have landed sowhere outside the village, heading towards a certain hideout. Ten minutes passed, with no response from the police chief. Lan Xing looked at Hong ihua, whose expression grew grim, signaling everyone to remain calm.
Another ten minutes passed; when everyone was growing impatient, the police chief called: All families had evacuated. It was confird that one house was rented out two days ago. Village houses, unlike those in the city, aren't reported when rented, so no one knew.
On hearing this news, everyone's spirits lifted, and they looked at Luo Zheng with a touch more respect. Hong ihua imdiately inquired about the room's specific location, learning it was on the village edge, a farmhouse. The landlord wasn't present, relieving Hong ihua. Without hesitation, she quickly said, "Let's move out."
Lan Xing nodded knowingly, imdiately sending the command to Shadow and the SWAT team, stating, "Great, our satellite is back. We can monitor clearly now."
Soon, everyone watched as the computer screen beca clear, witnessing three helicopters roaring off towards the village, while on the highway, a convoy of police cars sped away, not using sirens to avoid alerting the suspect, driving fast, causing nearby cars to make way.
With air and ground teams acting simultaneously, Luo Zheng, still uncertain, watched the screen intently. Ye Laixiang asked curiously, "With both teams attacking at once, how confident are you?"
"The murderer likely has accomplices, a high chance of capturing them all, but the murderer himself, I'm not so sure. I have a hunch we might not catch him this ti. Shadow, be careful, the opponent is extrely crafty, and probably has a contingency plan, but I can't think of what it might be," Luo Zheng replied, reminding Shadow.
"A contingency? What other contingency could there be unless this is a trap from the start?" Shadow said.
Luo Zheng was taken aback, suddenly realizing sothing, his expression changed dramatically, quickly shouting, "Sothing's not right, be careful, I suspect the murderer has anti-aircraft heavy weapons, or placed remote bombs around. Recomnd direct air strike, at most damage others' property."
"No need for that, I know what to do," Shadow affird.
"Better safe than sorry," Ye Laixiang, feeling unease herself, quickly reminded him.
"Understood, we'll land early, sever their communication with other villages, avoid hostage situations. Of course, the murderer might have anticipated this and prepared remote bombs, trip mines, as possible asures. We'll be cautious; arbitrarily bombing hos could create local backlash. What if there are hostages unknown to us inside?" Shadow said, exuding strong confidence.
