The morning sunlight scatters over the vast mountain range; the morning glow stretches for miles. The treetops seem to be draped with a colorful veil, and a gentle breeze rustles the leaves, creating a sound that rises and falls like a green wave. So birds flutter and sing above the trees, adding a touch of vitality to this expansive forest.
On a mountain ridge, Luo Zheng lies on the ground, holding a binocular to observe. Next to him is Lan Xue. Both are wearing camouflage suits adorned with green twigs and grass, blending their bodies into the surrounding nature. They are undetectable unless one gets very close.
Despite the beautiful scenery of the mountain range, Luo Zheng's mood feels as cold as midwinter. Just a mont ago, Luo Zheng discovered a ten-person ninja squad erging from a cave, and one of the figures seed familiar. Upon closer inspection, Luo Zheng gradually matched the figure to the one who attacked at the hospital and imdiately guessed the identity: Shijing Ye, the erging talent of the Shijing family, the young elite of the Chrysanthemum Group, once the Strongest Soldier King of Japan, Master Liu Yun's direct disciple, a master who escaped the hands of Shadow.
Once he confird the identity, Luo Zheng was shocked and quickly put away the binoculars to avoid alerting the opponent. Such masters have highly sensitive instincts and can sense danger. Lan Xue had already noticed sothing was amiss with Luo Zheng and looked over with concern, asking, "What's wrong?"
"Take a look. Is it Shijing Ye?" Luo Zheng handed over the binoculars.
"Shijing Ye?" Lan Xue was shocked and quickly took the binoculars to observe.
Through the earpiece, Luo Zheng said, "Lan Xing, can you locate my position? There is a squad about a thousand ters south; the third person in the middle looks like Shijing Ye. Can you confirm his identity?"
"I'll try." Lan Xing replied.
Luo Zheng looked up at the sky; the sun shone brightly, and the clouds dispersed. In this kind of weather, satellites should be able to capture clear images, right? After waiting for a while, Lan Xue also put away the binoculars, not daring to look further, to avoid alerting the opponent. She nodded gravely at Luo Zheng and said, "It's almost certain it's him. But, why is he here?"
"It seems the situation is much more complicated than we know. We can't launch an attack rashly; we need to understand the situation first." Luo Zheng said worriedly in a low voice.
"Unable to accurately locate your position, there is strong satellite signal interference around, likely related to the radar array. If possible, we should first destroy the radar array to see if that helps; otherwise, satellite intelligence cannot be provided." Lan Xue said anxiously.
"Got it." Luo Zheng replied, looking towards the main peak ahead. In front of the cave, the land had been flattened into an area as large as two football fields. Many laborers were still leveling the land, and the overseers frequently used gun butts to hit them, yelling so orders. Under the dark gun barrels, no one dared to resist easily.
Lan Xue used the binoculars to observe again and saw that the patrol team wandered around the area, practicing chopping movents. The surrounding guards dispersed, even the patrol team mbers didn't dare to get close. Seeing this, Lan Xue handed the binoculars to Luo Zheng and said, "It seems a sizable group of ninja trainees has arrived here, with Shijing Ye appearing like their instructor or sothing. Take a look."
"Really?" Luo Zheng raised the binoculars for a look and agreed with Lan Xue's analysis. Quickly moving the binoculars, he soon noticed three small cars coming from afar. Following the direction of the cars, he spotted a dirt road winding and twisting, leading sowhere unknown.
The three cars rushed through without being stopped and drove straight into the cave. Upon seeing this, Luo Zheng was sure the cave was much larger than imagined. Unfortunately, the surrounding area was guarded by trench positions that were staggered, making penetration impossible. Even if they got inside, the hundreds of ters near the cave were patrolled teams with wolf dogs, making entry impossible, not to ntion the guarding force inside the cave.
Facing stringent guards, Luo Zheng felt like a tiger trying to eat a turtle, unable to find a way in. Swallowing it whole would be fatal; chewing inside for the at wouldn't work either due to the hard turtle shell. Perhaps they might be discovered before even chewing, attracting a massive army onslaught. But ti was of the essence; a solution must be found quickly.
With a heavy expression, Luo Zheng lowered the binoculars and fell into thought. Lan Xue took the binoculars and continued observing. After a while, Lan Xue suddenly surprisedly handed back the binoculars, urgently saying, "Look, am I seeing correctly?"
"What is it?" Luo Zheng saw Lan Xue's surprised expression and knew sothing happened. Hastily taking the binoculars, he began observing, quickly noticing a familiar figure in camouflage slowly moving at the small flat ground at the cave entrance. Luo Zheng's expression changed dramatically upon careful observation.
"Am I seeing correctly?" Lan Xue asked in a low voice.
"It should be him, Jackson. Didn't expect him to be here too. Seems last ti in the dostic encounter, he was calculated by us. He's here for revenge now. This guy is troubleso; despite being beaten so hard, he managed to pull himself together for revenge. He knows us well; this ans bigger trouble." Luo Zheng said gravely.
"Yes, as a man, not many could recover from such a blow to seek revenge. It requires massive determination, combined with his intelligence and skill, along with his understanding of us. If he discovers us here, he'll certainly design many traps against us. We need to regroup and thoroughly plan this." Lan Xue quickly said.
"No rush, let's keep observing a bit longer." Luo Zheng looked at Jackson, feeling conflicted. As a soldier, Luo Zheng admired Jackson. As an enemy, Luo Zheng was wary of him. This guy is relentless and formidable; having his character changed could result in unpredictability, making him difficult to deal with.
With the sudden ergence of the master Shijing Ye, alongside the troubleso adversary Jackson, and the stationing of over ten thousand Yue Country troops here, plus the heavily guarded positions, what can their hundred-plus forces do? If they had satellite intelligence, there might be a chance, but the interference is strong; maintaining communication is fortunate enough. Without intelligence, they are like blind n; this battle seems to have no chance of winning.
"Shall we go back after more observation?" Lan Xue suggested.
"Okay, keep an eye on the patrol team's shift tis, the enemy's firepower situation, and guard changes. As for Shijing Ye and Jackson, we'll figure out a way when we get back." Luo Zheng said gravely, raising the binoculars to keep observing, hoping to find a flaw. Unfortunately, after an hour of observation, Luo Zheng found no weak spots.
This is an almost impregnable base, let alone destroying the equipnt inside. Luo Zheng looked helplessly at Lan Xue, and Lan Xue understood, offering a bitter smile: "Slowly, let's go back and brainstorm collectively, perhaps we'll co up with a plan."
"That's the only way. But no matter how difficult, we must take this place." Luo Zheng said angrily, standing up.
