"I promised another person at noon," Luo Zheng said gratefully. With Shi Feng's help, this matter becos much simpler. As for Little Dao, Ghost Hand will handle it, and the organization will issue a disciplinary action when I return; this matter should be settled. Luo Zheng doesn't regret beating these temporary urban managent workers, only regrets not being able to visit Wu Kai's family in ti or take care of them.

"Who? Can I et them?" Shi Feng asked reluctantly.

Luo Zheng gestured for Shi Feng to co to Guoguo. Since the little sister knows Shi Feng, she greeted him, easing her worried mind. Guoguo, who didn't know Shi Feng, hid behind the little sister fearfully. Luo Zheng pointed to Guoguo and said, "I promised her, it's what I owe her."

"Her? That's easy, let's do it together," Shi Feng said in surprise, glancing at the little girl, and quickly added.

Luo Zheng gestured for Shi Feng to step aside and explained the situation and Guoguo's identity, concluding, "Her dad was a life-and-death brother of mine; you were a soldier too, so you understand these feelings..."

"Say no more, I understand," Shi Feng's face darkened. As a soldier, Shi Feng understood Luo Zheng's emotions and why Luo Zheng took action. After interrupting Luo Zheng, Shi Feng thought for a mont and continued, "We cannot let heroes shed blood and tears; don't worry, I will handle this matter." Saying this, he pulled out his phone and walked away to make a call.

Luo Zheng watched Shi Feng with so confusion, unsure of his intentions. But seeing Guoguo's mother running in a panic from afar, abandoning her tricycle, looking for Guoguo's na with a tense expression, Luo Zheng felt a pain inside and his face grew somber.

The woman, holding Guoguo with a panicked expression, looked her up and down, confirming that Guoguo wasn't hurt, then sighed in relief and gratefully smiled at the little sister. However, the smile was more bitter than grateful. Holding Guoguo, she stood up, looked at Luo Zheng, unsure what to say, nodded in gratitude, and turned to leave.

At this mont, Guoguo suddenly said cheerfully, "Uncle Zhengzi, my mom and I are leaving, goodbye."

Luo Zheng just realized and hurriedly stepped forward, blocking Guoguo's mother. Guoguo's mother jumped back in fright, retreating a couple of steps as she watched Luo Zheng warily. This expression pained Luo Zheng even more, but he gathered his courage and spoke earnestly, eting Guoguo's mother's eyes, "Sister-in-law, I'm Zhengzi, your husband's soldier, do you rember ? We spoke over the phone."

"Zhengzi? Are you that new recruit?" Guoguo's mother looked at Luo Zheng in astonishnt, filled with disbelief.

"It's , Sister-in-law, I'm sorry, it's been two years and I never ca to see you, I..." Luo Zheng said painfully, his eyes misting up again, as images of the blaze at the outpost and the grueso deaths of his squad leader and other comrades filled his mind, causing him to bow his head in sha.

"You're okay? That's wonderful," Guoguo's mother said softly, a flash of pain in her eyes while looking at Guoguo, then back at Luo Zheng.

Luo Zheng nodded knowingly and said cryptically, "I'm okay. Although I've dealt with those bastards, I feel guilty and haven't dared to see you; I apologize." Filled with guilt, Luo Zheng respectfully referred to her as 'Sister-in-law,' seeing Guoguo's mother as his own in his heart since Wu Kai felt like an older brother to him.

"It's fate, don't bla yourself, as long as those bastards are taken care of, my mind is at ease," Guoguo's mother said, tears slipping down her face; surprised, relieved, but mostly pained and uncertain about the future. She looked at Guoguo, discreetly wiped her tears, took a deep breath, and showed a brave front again.

This ti, Shi Feng hurried over earnestly saying to Guoguo's mother, "Hello, Sister-in-law, I'm Shi Feng."

"You too?" Guoguo's mother looked at him surprised, unable to recall his na.

"He's Deputy Director Shi Feng from the municipal bureau," Luo Zheng explained beside her.

"Director Shi? Hello, please rest assured, I won't set up stalls unruly anymore, could you forgive this ti?" Guoguo's mother said urgently, her face changing drastically.

Luo Zheng felt his face burn, and Shi Feng wanted to find a crack to hide in, shafully saying, "Sister-in-law, I didn't do my job well; please give a chance to make up. I've arranged for a cafeteria manager position in the municipal bureau if you'd like it; it's not hard work, overseeing things, making sure people don't slack—contract work, how about it?"

"I'm just a rural woman, haven't studied much, and don't know about these things," Guoguo's mother said, grateful, knowing it's her husband's favor, continuing, "Thank you all, I can support Guoguo; I won't let her father down. Rest assured."

"You should go, Sister-in-law. For Guoguo's sake, selling in the streets isn't a long-term plan. How about joining my company? Do whatever you feel comfortable with, okay?" The little sister suggested earnestly.

"Your company?" Guoguo's mother looked at her in surprise, unaware she owned a company, and thought about it, saying, "Young people's companies involve high-tech stuff; I don't understand those, don't want to be a bother."

"Please co, it would be no trouble if you don't mind. Help with cleaning, handling newspapers, mail packages—considering we're familiar, and Guoguo too; the company is young, they would love her," the little sister continued to persuade.

"Co to mine, instead; being around us would be good for Guoguo's future. Perhaps she might beco a great police officer, like her father," Shi Feng quickly added.

Guoguo's mother was moved and looked at Shi Feng, then at Luo Zheng, with an inquiry in her eyes. Luo Zheng nodded in understanding, "Enough discussion, it's decided—go assist Director Shi at the municipal bureau. With his help, I feel assured. Let's have lunch together and I'll push your tricycle."

"No need, leave it," Guoguo's mother said with a bitter face, hesitating.

Luo Zheng noticed sothing was wrong, looking at Shi Feng, who signaled for an officer to approach and asked sharply, "Find out what's wrong with this lady's tricycle."

The officer, unaware of Guoguo's mother's identity, looked at Shi Feng, hesitating. Shi Feng burned with anger and snapped, "Stop mucking around, what's going on?"

"Little Dao's people took it," the officer said hastily.

"Little Dao?" Shi Feng paused, then realized, looking at Luo Zheng, who nodded; Shi Feng understood, shouting, "That bastard! I'll skin him alive. Get that tricycle back, no—make him deliver it personally, say I'm waiting here."
